Hadi is giving Islam a bad name telling lies and untruths, acting like a chameleon and going against the mainstream of Islamic development

(Versi BM)

The PAS President, Hadi Awang, is giving Islam a bad name – telling lies and untruths, acting like a chameleon and going against the mainstream of Islamic development.

As Pakatan Harapan chairman, Anwar Ibrahim said last night, Hadi is aware the DAP is not communist or pro-communist. Read the rest of this entry »

PSC on Agencies under PM’s Department must prove its worth by summoning the MACC Chief, Azam Baki to testify why he is playing the “blind, deaf and mute” game on the RM9 billion LCS scandal

(Versi BM)

Two days ago on Friday, I proposed that the Parliament Select Committee on Agencies under the Prime Minister’s Department meet urgently and summon the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner, Azam Baki to explain why the MACC had failed to take action against anyone for the RM9 billion littoral combatants ships (LCS) scandal although he had the benefit of two reports on the LCS scandal – the Special Investigation Committee on Public Governance, Procurement and Finance the LCS (JKUSTUPKK) headed by then auditor-general Ambrin Buang and the report of the forensic audit of the LCS procurement (2011-2014) carried out by Alliance IFA (M) Sdn. Bhd. at the behest of Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC) – which contained a myriad of possible charges on corruption, abuse of power, breach of trust, malpractices and cheating.

So far, Azam had given the lame excuse that the MACC needs more time for its investigation into the troubled RM9 billion LCS project as a few of the witnesses the MACC wants to summon are overseas. Read the rest of this entry »

Hadi himself is the reason why the PAS Non-Muslim wing cannot get Chinese support

(Versi BM)

Yesterday, the PAS President Hadi Awang asked why the PAS Non-Muslim wing cannot get Chinese support and said there is no reason the party should fail to garner support from non-Muslims, pointing to DAP’s record of electing Indian MPs in Chinese-majority seats.

In asking this question, Hadi had only exposed a major defect in his political leadership for Hadi himself is the reason why the PAS Non-Muslim wing and PAS cannot win Chinese or non-Muslim support. Read the rest of this entry »

Agree with Muhyiddin there is no need to debate Hadi’s “root of corruption” remarks as it is as clear as day that they are unMalaysian, irrational, extremist, without any theoretical, theological or factual basis

I agree with Perikatan Nasional Chief Muhyddin Yassin that there is no need to debate the “root cause of corruption” remarks of the PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang, as it is as clear as day that the remarks are unMalaysian, irrational, extremist, without any theoretical, theological or factual basis.

Islam is one of the great religions of the world and teaches human being to be good, but Hadi has no problem in condoning corruption and working with Najib Razak, one of the masterminds of the monstrous mega 1MDB financial scandal. Read the rest of this entry »

After three horror stories in its 88-year history, RMN deserves a 65th National Day relief with the establishment of a RCI into the RM9 billion LCS scandal

(Versi BM)

I congratulate the Defence Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, for going through with the declassification of two documents on the RM9 billion littoral combatant ship (LCS) scandal – the report of the Special Committee on the Procurement, Governance and Finance (JKSTUPKK) and the report from a forensic audit on the LCS project 2010- 2014 carried out by Alliance IFA (M) Sdn. Bhd., although there were redactions in these two reports which were not only unnecessary but clearly against the principles of accountability and transparency.

The JKSTUPKK report, the forensic audit report 2010-2014 in the LSC scandal and the earlier Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on the LCS scandal were three horror stories for the RMN – the most serious blow the RMN had suffered in its 88-year history. Read the rest of this entry »

I have never suggested that Oktoberfest be made a national holiday when I asked whether the PAS position on Oktoberfest is now the Ismail Sabri government position

I have never suggested that Oktoberfest be made a national holiday when I asked whether the PAS position on Oktoberfest is now the Ismail Sabri government position.

A website, Malaysia Today, carried my statement on the Oktoberfest with the heading: “Oktoberfest Should Be Declared A National Holiday” Read the rest of this entry »

Prime Minister Ismail Sabri’s silence on Azam-gate is most ominous when he is at the same time destroying the doctrine of separation of powers among the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary

Malaysia is facing its worst crisis of confidence over its anti-corruption agency, but the person who should be most concerned, the Prime Minister under whom the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) directly comes under, is blissfully indifferent and unconcerned.

Its coming to two weeks since academician Edmund Terence Gomez resigned as a member of MACC Consultation and Corruption Prevention Panel in protest against MACC’s failure to act on the conflict-of-interest allegations against the MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki but the Prime Minister has not said a single word of Azam-gate, the latest scandal of scandal-ridden Malaysia. As PAS banned gambling in Kedah and raised the liquor issue violating the Rukun Negara principles of Malaysian nation-building to get votes in the Malacca general election, let Malacca voters solidly reject PAS, PN and BN candidates for this disloyalty to Rukun Negara

(Versi BM)

As PAS banned gambling in Kedah and raised the liquor issue violating the Rukun Negara principles of Malaysian nation-building to get votes in the Malacca general election, let Malacca voters solidly reject PAS, PN and BN candidates for this disloyalty to Rukun Negara.

I am eighty years old and I had never bought a 4D in my life. But it is wrong, extremist and intolerant to try moral policing in a multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multicultural Malaysia. Read the rest of this entry »

Police should not misuse their powers by trampling on the constitutional rights of Malaysians to freedom of speech and expression

(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)

The Police should not misuse their powers by tramping on the constitutional rights of Malaysians to freedom of speech and expression.

The swift and draconian actions by the police against four persons over claims they insulted the Kedah Mentri Besar Mohammad Sanusi Md Nor have shocked and revolted Malaysians, in particular the way a 61-year-old senior citizen who had called Sanusi “stupid” for his remark about containers being used as a morgue had been arrested in Lenggeng in Negri Semibilan and dragged to Kedah for investigations. #kerajaangagal160 — All Malaysians, regardless of race, religion, region or politics must unite to win the war against the Covid-19 pandemic

(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)

Yesterday, I read a report published on Free Malaysia Today with the title “Covid is a test from God, only Allah’s govt can overcome it, says Hadi”.

When I read the statement, I was under the assumption that “Allah’s government” in the report, attributed to PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang referred to “Kerajaan Islam”, which includes the Perikatan Nasional government. It is no secret that Perikatan Nasional and PAS has always claimed that the PN government is a ‘Malay-Muslim government’.

As a response, I issued a statement which questioned Hadi’s reported statement, with the understanding that Hadi Awang is saying that only a “Kerajaan Islam” such as the PN government can deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. Read the rest of this entry »

#kerajaangagal127 –PAS Ministers opposing the two conclusions of the Yang di Pertuan Agong and the Special Conference of Rulers meeting on Covid-19 pandemic is consistent with PAS’ reservations about the five nation-building principles of Rukunegara

(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)

So far, only two PAS Ministers have come out with public positions contradictory to the two conclusions of the Yang di Pertuan Agong and the Special Conference of Rulers meeting on Covid-19: firstly, Parliament and the State Assemblies should be convened as soon as possible, and secondly, there is no need for the emergency to extend beyond August 1, 2021.

It has not come as a surprise that PAS Ministers oppose the two conclusions of the Yang di Pertuan Agong and the Special Conference of Rulers meeting on June 16, 2021 as this is consistent with PAS’ reservations about the five nation-building principles of Rukun Negara. #kerajaangagal99 — Two statements by Marzuki and Hadi yesterday have added salt to a very intriguing evolving political situation in Malaysia

(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)

Two statements by the Marzuki Mohamad and Hadi Awang yesterday have added salt to a very intriguing evolving political situation in Malaysia.

In the first statement Marzuki, the principal private secretary to the Prime Minister, said the National Operations Council (NOC), as proposed by some quarters, is not suitable in Malaysia’s current fight against Covid-19 and its efforts to revive the economy.

#kerajaangagal39 – Yesterday’s daily increase of 4,765 new Covid-19 cases and an all-time high of 39 deaths is latest proof that the emergency is a failure to bring the nine-month long third Covid-19 wave in Malaysia under control and Malaysia is fighting a losing battle against Covid-19 pandemic with deadly variants

Yesterday’s daily increase of 4,765 new Covid-19 cases and an all-time high of 39 deaths is latest proof that the emergency is a failure to bring the nine-month long third Covid-19 wave in Malaysia under control and that Malaysia is fighting a losing battle against Covid-19 pandemic with deadly variants.

It also validates the warning by the Indonesian government to Indonesians citing Malaysia in the same breath as India as countries which Indonesia should not emulate and to stay home and to take precautions on Covid-19 in the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.

#kerajaangagal38 – Hadi should come to his senses instead of becoming a new champion of a failed emergency to combat the Covid-19 pandemic

Why has the PAS President, Hadi Awang, emerged as a new champion of a failed emergency to combat the Covid-19 pandemic?

He appeared not to have minded that Malaysia had tumbled in international performance in handling the Covid-19 pandemic, to an extent that the Indonesian government had cited Malaysia in the same breath as India in its warning to Indonesians to stay home and to take precautions on Covid-19 in the forthcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.

I find it most shocking the spectacle of a leader of a political party in government coalition who appears to relish the downgrading of Malaysia’s international status, lower than Indonesia, a country which Malaysia had always prided as superior in terms of public health competence, services and infrastructure development. #kerajaangagal35 – The flurried manner of the announcement of a national MCO 3.0 late yesterday evening less than a month after the Prime Minister promised no more nationwide restrictions is living proof that the Muhyiddin government has become a kakistocracy

(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)

The flurried manner of the announcement of a national MCO 3.0 late yesterday evening less than a month after the Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin promised no more nationwide restrictions is living proof that the Muhyiddin government has become a kakistocracy

There was no time to arrange for a live telecast by the Prime Minister, which must be a blessing in disguise as Muhyiddin cannot be unaware of the huge deficit in public trust and confidence in government’s decisions and announcements, particularly relating to Covid-19 pandemic. Most shocking that Hadi still opposes giving the right to vote to those above 18 years old when I had called for such a right to be given to 18 year-olds in Parliament fifty years ago

(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)

I am thoroughly shocked that the PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang still opposes giving the right to vote to those above 18 years old when I had called for such a right in Parliament 50 years ago on Human Rights Day on 10th December 197l.

This means that when Hadi voted for the constitutional amendment in 2019 giving voting rights to Malaysians above 18 years old, it was not a genuine vote of support.

Supporting the delay in the implementation of the 2019 parliamentary unanimous vote for the constitutional amendment to give the right to vote to those above 18 years in the next general election, Hadi said voting needs maturity and that voters who are not mature will pick an immature government. Restore the mandate to Pakatan Harapan and with Anwar Ibrahim as the ninth Prime Minister, Malaysia can begin to fulfil her aspiration to be a united, harmonious, multi-racial world-class great nation and “a beacon of light in a disturbed and distracted world”

(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)

UMNO, Bersatu and PAS have failed to form a stable government as the Malay Unity rhetoric has proved to be a false promise for Malaysia.

If I had made this statement, it would be taken as proof of the allegation that I am anti-Malay and anti-Islam, but this was stated by Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, the President of Warisan and former Sabah Chief Minister, at the recent Regional Outlook Forum 2021, hosted by the ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore last Thursday.

Shafie said Malaysian politics needs a reset in 2021 and beyond as the Malay unity rhetoric is proven to be a false promise. Read the rest of this entry »
