#kerajaangagal102 – Muhyiddin must make clear whether Hamzah’s bizarre idea that Parliament can only meet when herd immunity against coronavirus is achieved represents government policy
Posted by Kit in COVID-19, Muhyiddin Yassin, Parliament on Friday, 11 June 2021
Clearly, the Home Minister, Hamzah Zainuddin has not given up his bizarre idea that Parliament will only sit after the country has achieved herd immunity against Covid-19 virus.
Today, he poured cold water on a proposal to set up a hybrid Parliament during the emergency and publicly humiliated not only the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Parlaiment), Taikiyyuddin Hassan, who announced the proposal for a hybrid Parliament, but also the Dewan Rakyat speaker, Dewan Negara president, the Dewan Negara deputy president, both deputy speakers of the Dewan Rakyat, and Parliament’s chief administrator who are currently studying the proposal. #kerajaangagal101 – the series of #kerajaangagal hashtag media statements will end when Parliament is convened

When I started on the #kerajaangagal hashtag media statements on Sunday, 18th April 2021, I had no idea how many such statements I would be writing.
But I found no difficulty whatsoever in writing #kerajaangagal media statements, sometimes two or even three a day, as examples of a failed and kakistocratic administration, especially in the mishandling of the Covid-19 pandemic, were aplenty. Read the rest of this entry »

The convening of a special Conference of Rulers on June 16 on the Covid-19 pandemic initiated by the Yang di Pertuan Agong deserves the support of all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or politics, as the worsening Covid-19 situation in Malaysia must be the concern of all, including the royalty.
In the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic, all will agree that the worst countries in handling the Covid-19 pandemic were the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Brazil and Mexico.

#kerajaangagal97 — Learn from China and the United States on how to bring vaccine to the people rather than bring people to the vaccine to accelerate and complete the Malaysian national vaccination rollout by Malaysia Day on Sept. 16, 2021
(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)
Malaysia must learn from China and the United States on how to accelerate and complete the national vaccination rollout by Malaysia Day on Sept. 16, 2021 by bringing vaccine to the people rather than people to the vaccine.
The Minister co-ordinating vaccines Khairy Jamaluddin has said that Malaysia breached its target of administering 150,000 daily Covid-19 vaccinations yesterday, comprising 105,722 for first doses and the remaining 45,587 receiving their second doses.

It is more than ten days since the announcement by the Home Minister, Hamzah Zainuddin contradicting the Minister co-ordinating vaccines, Khairy Jamaluddin, of operations against undocumented migrants for breach of the Covid-19 SOPs but the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had been very quiet on this important issue which could decide whether the national vaccination rollout would be a failure or whether Malaysia could achieve herd immunity against Covid and break the back of the problem of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Feb 16, Khairy said undocumented foreign nationals will not be arrested when they come forward for Covid-19 vaccinations, adding that this assurance was crucial in ensuring herd immunity was achieved. Read the rest of this entry »

The Health Minister, Dr. Adham Baba is up to another “warm water” gaffe when he compared Malaysia to UK on Covid-19 deaths, when for the past week Malaysia’s fatalities from Covid-19 was 11 times that of United Kingdom.
In Johor Baru yesterday, Adam said UK’s success in recording zero death from Covid-19 recently has given the Malaysian government confidence in the effectiveness of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

#kerajaangagal91 — Muhyiddin Cabinet should heed the signal from Pahang Istana that MPs and SAs have important role to play to bring the Covid-19 pandemic under control and convene Parliament on August 1

The Muhyiddin Cabinet should heed the signal from the Pahang Istana that Members of Parliament and State Assembly persons have an Important role to play to bring the Covid-19 pandemic under control.
It is the most powerful repudiation of the very self-serving view that Parliament should not be reconvened unless the country achieves herd immunity against Covid-19, especially in a situation where no one authority, whether the Prime Minister,
Muhyiddin Yassin or the Minister co-ordinating vaccines, Khairy Jamaluddin dare to make public their time-line for the country achieving herd immunity. Read the rest of this entry »

Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Jemut Masing said his younger brother Jantai Masing, 68, who died due to Covid-19 at the Kapit Hospital on May 31, just a day before the Dayaks in the state ushered in the Gawai celebration, would have a better chance to survive Covid-19 if he had been given the vaccine.

#kerajaangagal89 — Re-strategise national vaccination rollout with common touches to bring vaccines to the people in rural and remote areas while in urban areas, set up more vaccination centres and make them convenient and people-friendly
Posted by Kit in COVID-19, Parliament on Saturday, 5 June 2021
Every day is bad news on the Covid-19 pandemic front, whether the shocking data showing while the world and most countries are turning a corner in the pandemic, Malaysia is one exception surging for record daily increases of new Covid-19 cases and fatalities as well as disproportionate increase of cumulative total for Covid-19 cases and deaths or the kakistocracy of the Malaysian government where public trust and confidence in its handling of the Covid-19 pandemic keeps dwindling way.
The national vaccination rollout has become the Achilles’ heel of the Malaysian war against the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said that Parliament will only sit after the country achieves herd immunity against the Covid-19 virus and said calls for the government to reconvene the Dewan Rakyat before the immunisation objective would only “spark more infection clusters”. Read the rest of this entry »

Does the Parliament Speaker Azhar Harun still need to be convinced that the emergency declared on January 11, 2021 is a colossal failure to combat the 17-month Covid-19 pandemic?
Does he still need to be convinced that one reason for the emergency being such a colossal failure to combat the Covid-19 pandemic is because of the suspension of Parliament which removed the important constitutional safeguard of parliamentary scrutiny and “check-and-balance” to ensure Executive competence, efficiency and good governance? #kerajaangagal83 — How is the NIP to shorten its 22-month programme to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19 to seven or even four months?

One of the our biggest challenges in the war against the Covid-19 pandemic is how to accelerate the National Immunisation Programme (NIP) and shorten its 22-month programme to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19 to seven or even four months.
For the past few days, both the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the Minister co-ordinating the NIP, Khairy Jamaluddin, have been avoiding my question as to what is the latest time-line for Malaysia to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19 under the NIP.

I could not believe my eyes when I checked the world-o-meter table for the Covid-19 cases for each country yesterday.
The United States, which was the world’s worst nation in the Covid-19 pandemic for over a year as to have a cumulative total of over 34 million cases and over 600,000 fatalities, was recording a daily increase of over 100,000 new Covid-19 cases for three months and a daily fatality of over 2,000 deaths also for three long months.
It reached its daily peak of new Covid-19 cases on January 8, 2021 when it registered 304,248 cases and its daily peak of fatalities on 12th January 2021 when it registered 4,482 deaths.
Yesterday, the United States registered a daily increase of 7,750 cases — a drop of 97.5% from its peak of 304,248 cases on January 8, and a daily increase of 124 new
