Let 2024 be a Year for national unity, political stability, and reforms

A friend sent me an article “Social media and the manufacturing of Malay-Muslim insecurity” by Dr. Hew Wai Weng and Dr. Nicholas Chan.
This is an article that must be read by all Malaysians to understand why the first Pakatan Harapan government fell after 22 months as a result of the Sheraton political conspiracy, ushering in the first “backdoor” government under Prime Minister, Muhyiddin Yassin.
Can 2024 be the first year where the 2R issues of race and religion are not exploited — five years where the 2Rs were exploited to the full creating national disharmony for political objectives?

Malaysians will welcome a New Year in less than ten days.
2023 had been the worst year in the last five years because of untrammelled exploitation of the 2R issues of race and religion for political reasons.
Takiyuddin should apologise and withdraw his reference of the Constitutional provision that any Malaysian can be a Prime Minister as “poisonous propaganda” and he should be referred to the Parliamentary Committee of Privileges whether he has violated his oath as an MP to “preserve, protect, and defend” the Constitution

The PAS Secretary-General, Takiyuddin Hassan, should apologise and withdraw his reference two days ago of the Constitutional provision that any Malaysian can be a Prime Minister as “poisonous propaganda” and he should be referred to the Parliamentary Committee of Privileges whether he had violated his oath as a Member of Parliament to “preserve, protect, and defend” the Constitution.
One of the rare occasions these days where I agree with Mahathir
This is one of the rare occasions these days where I agree with the former Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir Mohamad who said yesterday that Malaysia will only have a non-Malay prime minister when the Malays, who make up the majority of the population, are ready to accept one.
Question for Muhyiddin: Was Mahathir subservient to DAP when he was Prime Minister the second time for 22 months?

Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin said that “DAP’s dominance in the current government could make it possible for a non-Malay to be appointed as the Prime Minster.
Let the two PN parties of PAS and Bersatu declare whether Wan Fayhsal’s proposal to amend the Malaysian Constitution to restrict the Prime Minister position to Malay Muslims is their official position

Let the two Perikatan Nasional (PN) parties of PAS and Bersatu declare whether Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal’s proposal to amend the Malaysian Constitution to restrict the Prime Minister position to Malay Muslims is their official position.
Only the police know why they wanted to see me but not Mahathir Mohamad although he said the same thing as me that a non-Malay can be Prime Minister of Malaysia
A social media query asking why former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad was not hauled up by the police as he had said the same thing as I did — that a non-Malay can be the Prime Minister of Malaysia — caused me to do some research.

Why are Malaysians not sufficiently focused on regaining world-rank status or on the future?

Malaysia’s conspicuous absence in two lists – Apolitical’s 100 most influential people in Climate Policy 2022/2023 and TIME magazine 100 most influential climate leaders in Business for 2023 — are indications that the country is not sufficiently reversing course in the national decline in the last quarter of a century to rise up again as a great world-class nation.
If I was wrong about the Malaysian Dream, then Tun Razak was wrong in 1970 to formulate the Rukun Negara and Tun Mahathir Mohamad was wrong in 1990 to formulate the nine strategic objectives of Vision 2020

The Malaysian Police are looking for me for my remarks in Manchester to Malaysian students last Wednesday that the Malaysian Constitution, both in 1957 and the amended one in 1963 when Malaysia was formed, the Rukun Negara 1970 and Vision 2020 with its nine strategic challenges, provided for a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multi-cultural Malaysian Dream and not a mono-ethnic dream.
Takiyuddin’s omissions are more significant than what he said
I thank PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan for his views but his omissions are more significant than what he said.
Landslide victory for PAS in Kemaman would have been the coup de grace for the Anwar unity government if PN had captured Selangor or Negeri Sembilan in August but PN did not do so and the green wave had reached its maximum mark
I do not agree with those who see the landslide PAS victory in the Kemaman by-election as a sign that the green wave produced by the 15th General Election had not subsided.
Congrats to Samsuri for winning Kemaman by-election — will Hadi step down as PAS President to allow Samsuri to lead a PAS which is more moderate and open-minded

I congratulate Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar for his victory in the Kemaman by-election.
Call for a conference of political parties, NGOs, and NGIs on how to ensure Malaysia can rise up again to become a great world-class nation and avoid the fate of a divided, failed, and kleptocratic state

I visited the tourist attractions in Edinburgh and the prevailing thought in my mind was that Edinburgh was the place in the past few hundred years where history was made, but now tourists visit Edinburgh to “see history” instead of “making history”.
The Opposition parties do not seem to be interested in the national decline in the last quarter of a century, not bothered about Malaysia rising up again to become a great world-class country as they are only concerned about further dividing Malaysians by exploiting the 2R issues of race and religion

Watching the political scenario in Malaysia in the last one year, the Opposition parties do not seem to be interested in the national decline in the last quarter of a century, not bothered about Malaysia rising up again to become a great world-class country as they are only concerned about further dividing Malaysians by exploiting the 2R issues of race and religion.
