2023 will be make-or-break year for Anwar Unity Government and Malaysia to be great again

2023 will be a make-or-break year for Anwar Unity Government and Malaysia to be a great again.

The Anwar Unity Government has started on the right footing in its first month office, vindicating what Anwar promised after he was appointed the 10th Prime Minister by the Yang di Pertuan Agong on Nov. 24, 2022 that he would not compromise on good governance, the anti-corruption drive, judicial independence, and the welfare of ordinary Malaysians.

Malaysia has a big chance under Anwar unity government to rebuild Malaysia into a first-rate world-class plural nation – don’t spoil it

(Versi BM)

A clarification is in order with regard to my statement yesterday entitled: “Anwar should ignore Mahathir and learn the most important lesson of the 22-month Pakatan Harapan Government — carry out as many of the ‘reformasi’ institutional reforms in the early months of the new government as he may not have five years”.

I am aware that the naysayers are jumping on the statement as proof that Lim Kit Siang does not believe that Anwar Ibrahim will last five years as Prime Minister and fortified their resolve to topple Anwar Ibrahim as Prime Minister ala-Sheraton Move political conspiracy as soon as possible.

Anwar should ignore Mahathir and learn the most important lesson of the 22-month Pakatan Harapan Government — carry out as many of the “reformasi” institutional reforms in the early months of the new government as he may not have five years

(Versi BM)

The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should ignore Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and learn the most important lesson of the 22-month Pakatan Harapan Government — carry out as many of the “reformasi” institutional reforms in the early months of the new government as he may not have five years.

He should carry out the promise he made after he was appointed the 10th Prime Minister by the Yang di Pertuan Agong on Nov. 24, 2022 that he would not compromise on good governance, the anti-corruption drive, judicial independence, and the welfare of ordinary Malaysians.

You are very wrong Hadi, DAP represents not only the non-Malays and non-Muslims as DAP represents Malaysians — including Malays and Muslims

(Versi BM)

A week after the vote of confidence in Parliament on Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia, more and more Malaysians are coming to the view that there is now a higher chance of Anwar lasting five years as Prime Minister.

Malaysia must have a programme to reduce the migration of highly skilled citizens as part of the policy to make Malaysia great again

Last Thursday, Malaysiakini reported the former University of Malaya’s Dean of Medicine Dr. Adeeba Kamarulzaman as saying that Malaysia loses at least 30 of its best and brightest medical graduates from University of Malaya to Singapore, and that it costs the country almost RM1 million per student to train.

Now its Merry Christmas all round although it could have been a very grim Christmas if political developments had taken a different turn and Anwar had not become the 10th Prime Minister

(Versi BM)

Now its Merry Christmas all round although it could have been a very grim Christmas if political developments had taken a different turn and Anwar Ibrahim had not become the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Malaysia is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious, and multi-cultural nation and let the 2022 Christmas be the first festivity where Malaysians again celebrate their unity in diversity by rejoicing in the festivities of all ethnic and religious groups — be it Thaipusam, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Wesak Day, Hari Gawai, Hari Kaamatan, Hari Raya Haji, Deepavali, or Christmas.

Tanjong constituency had been a bastion of the Malaysian Dream for a free, just, democratic, and prosperous Malaysia for over three decades

Firstly, let me congratulate the voters of Tanjong for being the bastion of the Malaysian Dream for a free, just, democratic, and prosperous Malaysia for over three decades since 1986 when I first became Member of Parliament for Tanjong.

Secondly, I congratulate Penang DAP for excellent results in the 15th General Election where in four parliamentary constituencies, the opposing candidates to the DAP lost all lost their deposits.

A breakthrough for Malaysia in Covid-19 pandemic in the last six days with triple-digit daily cases and single-digit daily deaths in Malaysia which should be a prelude to a wide-ranging study why Malaysia, indexed as among the top 20 countries in the world in a global study on health in 2019, became one the worst performers in the Covid-19 pandemic

(Versi BM)

Malaysia achieved a breakthrough in the Covid-19 pandemic, recording triple-digit daily Covid-19 cases and single-digit daily Covid-19 deaths for six consecutive days, bringing Malaysia back to more than two years ago before Malaysia broke the daily barrier for triple-digit Covid-19 cases and single-digit Covid-19 deaths, reaching five-digit daily new Covid-19 cases and triple-digit daily Covid-19 deaths terminating the “backdoor” premiership of Muhyiddin Yassin.

Fully support Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah to have zero tolerance for incitement of racial and religious fear and hatred in plural Malaysia

(Versi BM)

The speech yesterday by Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah not to tolerate attempts to incite racial and religious hatred which would provoke hostilities in Perak should be the national policy of the country.

I call on the Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim to have zero tolerance for incitement of racial and religious fear and hatred in plural Malaysia as it can destroy the country.

Vote of Confidence has solidified Anwar’s tenure as 10th Prime Minister for five years, although the guards must never be down on the possibility of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy to topple the Anwar government much earlier

(Versi BM)

The vote of confidence in Parliament yesterday on Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister has solidified Anwar’s tenure as Prime Minister for five years, although the guards must never be down on the possibility of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy to topple the Anwar government much earlier.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs made this point quite clear in the parliamentary debate yesterday although the masterminds of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy must now realise that after the vote-of-confidence in Parliament yesterday, it is unlikely to happen in months as they originally expected.

Muhyiddin’s most patriotic duty is to abstain from the vote of confidence in Parliament as his opposition to the motion would mean he subordinates the country’s stability and future to his own personal and selfish zeal to become a “backdoor” Prime Minister again

(Versi BM)

Muhyiddin Yassin’s most patriotic duty is to abstain from the vote of confidence in Parliament as his opposition to the motion would mean that he subordinates the country’s stability and future to his own personal and selfish zeal to become a “backdoor” Prime Minister again.

I think I have the qualifications to tell Muhyiddin a thing or two how to be a responsible Opposition Leader having served as the longest Opposition Leader in the country — even in the darkest days of parliamentary democracy in the country.

Will the Perikatan Nasional MPs vote in support, abstain, or oppose the vote of confidence in Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia?

(Versi BM)

Will the Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs vote to support, abstain, or oppose the vote of confidence in Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia?

It will be asking the PN MPs to do a very tall job to put nation before party, coalition, and self to support the vote of confidence in Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister in Parliament on Tuesday to ensure that there is clean, transparent, responsible, and stable political eco-system in Malaysia, which is the PN manifesto for the 15th General Election.

I remember September 1995, one of the darkest periods of DAP history, when the people of Bagan stood up and gave democracy a new lease of life at a time when democracy was in peril and DAP was in trauma after a dismal electoral setback in the 9th General Election, giving the DAP by-election candidate, Lim Hock Seng, a 11,802-vote majority, 100 times the majority which DAP secured four months earlier in the April 1995 general election.
