2023 will be a make-or-break year for Anwar Unity Government and Malaysia to be a great again.
The Anwar Unity Government has started on the right footing in its first month office, vindicating what Anwar promised after he was appointed the 10th Prime Minister by the Yang di Pertuan Agong on Nov. 24, 2022 that he would not compromise on good governance, the anti-corruption drive, judicial independence, and the welfare of ordinary Malaysians.
The Rulers, led by the Yang di Pertuan Agong and the Sultans of Johore and Selangor, have set a good example to all Muslims in Malaysia in wishing “Merry Christmas” to Christians in Malaysia for the country to be a global example of a plural nation where there is unity, understanding and harmony among the different religions in the country, consistent with Islam as the official religion of the country

A clarification is in order with regard to my statement yesterday entitled: “Anwar should ignore Mahathir and learn the most important lesson of the 22-month Pakatan Harapan Government — carry out as many of the ‘reformasi’ institutional reforms in the early months of the new government as he may not have five years”.
I am aware that the naysayers are jumping on the statement as proof that Lim Kit Siang does not believe that Anwar Ibrahim will last five years as Prime Minister and fortified their resolve to topple Anwar Ibrahim as Prime Minister ala-Sheraton Move political conspiracy as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should ignore Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and learn the most important lesson of the 22-month Pakatan Harapan Government — carry out as many of the “reformasi” institutional reforms in the early months of the new government as he may not have five years.
He should carry out the promise he made after he was appointed the 10th Prime Minister by the Yang di Pertuan Agong on Nov. 24, 2022 that he would not compromise on good governance, the anti-corruption drive, judicial independence, and the welfare of ordinary Malaysians.
You are very wrong Hadi, DAP represents not only the non-Malays and non-Muslims as DAP represents Malaysians — including Malays and Muslims

Last Thursday, Malaysiakini reported the former University of Malaya’s Dean of Medicine Dr. Adeeba Kamarulzaman as saying that Malaysia loses at least 30 of its best and brightest medical graduates from University of Malaya to Singapore, and that it costs the country almost RM1 million per student to train.

The vote of confidence in Parliament yesterday on Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister has solidified Anwar’s tenure as Prime Minister for five years, although the guards must never be down on the possibility of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy to topple the Anwar government much earlier.
Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs made this point quite clear in the parliamentary debate yesterday although the masterminds of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy must now realise that after the vote-of-confidence in Parliament yesterday, it is unlikely to happen in months as they originally expected.
Muhyiddin’s most patriotic duty is to abstain from the vote of confidence in Parliament as his opposition to the motion would mean he subordinates the country’s stability and future to his own personal and selfish zeal to become a “backdoor” Prime Minister again

I remember September 1995, one of the darkest periods of DAP history, when the people of Bagan stood up and gave democracy a new lease of life at a time when democracy was in peril and DAP was in trauma after a dismal electoral setback in the 9th General Election, giving the DAP by-election candidate, Lim Hock Seng, a 11,802-vote majority, 100 times the majority which DAP secured four months earlier in the April 1995 general election.
