I call on the Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri to release details of the 100 Days Report Card of his Cabinet by revealing what mark each of his Ministry received if he does not want to be “100 Days” laughing stock to Malaysians and the world.
If Ismail cannot produce the 100 Day report of card each of his Ministry, and explain how he arrived at the figure of 90 pct score on his Cabinet’s collective report card, then it is just an arbitrary figure like a rabbit he plucked from the hat – which is the job of a magician and not Prime Minister of a country. The Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri should have insisted that the Covid-19 SOPs be observed or walked away from the 100-day report card event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre yesterday to show that he was serious about the 23-month Covid-19 pandemic which have accumulated nearly 2.7 million Covid-19 cases and caused over 30,000 Covid-19 deaths
In fact, it should be asked how many of the over 30,000 Covid-19 deaths are avoidable deaths, simply caused of sheer incompetence of the health service.
By allowing an event which threw all the Covid-19 SOPs to the winds, Ismail Sabri had failed not only as the ninth Prime Minister, but the nation and the Malaysian people. Read the rest of this entry »

There is a deep sigh of national relief when it is known the Court of Appeal has unanimously rejected the appeal of former Prime Minister, Najib Razak against his conviction and sentence to 12 years’ jail and RM210 million fine for seven charges linked to the RM42 million of SRC International Sdn. Bhd. funds.
In delivering the ruling, Justice Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil said the Court of Appeal agreed with trial judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali’s finding that Najib had personal interest for the cabinet to approve a government guarantee for a RM4 billion loan from Retirement Fund Inc to SRC International.

Prime Minister Ismail Sabri has failed in his “Keluarga Malaysia” concept in his first Hundred Days when not only is he afraid to ask everyone of his Cabinet Minister to declare support for the five Rukun Negara nation-building principles, but more of his Cabinet Ministers have expressed their opposition to Rukun Negara.

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Abdul Latiff Ahmad, has told Parliament that Prime Minister Ismail Sabri has three special advisors who advise him on health, religion as well as on law and human rights.
The Pengerang MP Azalina Othman Said is Ismail Sabri’s law and human rights advisor, Kedah Umno chief Jamil Khir Baharom is Ismail Sabri’s religious advisor while a committee member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Science Council and former dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, Dr. Adeeba Kamulzaman is expected to be Ismail Sabri’s health adviser. After 99 days of depressing, gloomy or at best “not bad news”, it is great to have some good news at last on the Covid-19 pandemic front on the last day of Ismail Sabri’s first hundred days as the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Yesterday, Malaysia recorded 4,239 daily new Covid-19 cases, the lowest in 196 days since May 16, and 29 daily Covid-19 deaths – second lowest in over six months.
I had hoped that at least by the first 100 Days of Ismail Sabri as the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia, we can at least undo the damage of the proclamation of emergency by the Muhyiddin Yassin Government on January 11, 2021, when we had 2,232 daily new Covid-19 cases and four Covid-19 deaths, with the cumulative totals of 138,224 Covid-19 cases and 555 Covid-19 deaths. I welcome Prime Minister Ismail Sabri’s statement that his “Keluarga Malaysia” concept is based on Rukun Negara and that the National Unity Plan 2021-2030 is an effort to restore the original dream of unity expressed in the five principles of Rukun Negara.
But the National Unity Plan got off on a bad start when the Unity Minister, Halimah Mohamed Sadique dared not answer questions about the issue surrounding the new signboards for several publicly-funded Chinese primary schools in Pahang, passing the buck to the Education Ministry and the Pahang State government. There is widespread misunderstanding of the confidence-supply-reform (CSR) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that it meant that DAP and Pakatan Harapan (PH) now support the racialist, one-sided and divisive 2022 Budget when this is not the case.

He has coined “Keluarga Malaysia” as his signature brand for his premiership of Malaysia.
Will “Keluarga Malaysia” save Malaysia from being a failed state, as Malaysia had been slipping from the international table of competitiveness and successful nations?

I have said that Ismail Sabri, the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia, is the weakest Prime Minister in Malaysian history, and this is confirmed by Kedah Mentri Besar’s action banning gambling in Kedah.
Ismail Sabri should clarify whether his “Keluarga Malaysia” includes a ban on gambling and liquor in Malaysia and the withdrawal of support for the five Rukun Negara nation-building principles of belief in God, loyalty to King and country, supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law and courtesy and morality. I received a note from a DAP supporter about the 2022 Budget presented by the Finance Minister, Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz presented to Parliament last Friday.
The note said:
“DAP should vote against the passing of Budget 2022.
“To protest against the Budget giving overwhelming allocations for the Malays and peanuts to the other races. They are virtually telling you that Chinese votes don’t matter. If PH votes for the Budget, I won’t bother voting in GE15.” Read the rest of this entry »

The Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri is wrong if he thinks he is doing a favour to his former party leader and former Prime Minister, Najib Razak by adopting an inert instead of a proactive position on investigations into the Pandora Paper with regard to offshare financial abuses.
One of the personalities highlighted in the Pandora Papers is Najib’s adviser on 1MDB when Najib was the Prime Minister – Jho Low, a fugitive financier who masterminded the 1MBD scandal and wanted by Malaysia, Singapore and the United States.

Two Malaysians, Ramesh Chander and Lim Teck Ghee, who had distinguished themselves in their services with the World Bank, have jointly made a devastating indictment of the 12th Malaysia Plan describing it as “Three Steps Backwards”.
Ramesh was formerly Chief Statistician of Malaysia while Teck Ghee was formerly senior official of the United Nations and the World Bank.
They believed that the 12th Malaysia Plan, if implemented as currently presented, is likely to be a “self-inflicted wound” that will “adversely alter the trajectory of the country’s socio-economic growth and heighten the likelihood of Malaysia becoming further entrapped as a middle income economy, with a clear risk of going backwards in Malaysia’s development and prosperity”.

The Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri should realise how fragile is the “Keluarga Malaysia” edifice of his premiership when two incidents could threaten to demolish it yesterday: firstly, the racist remark by a Bersatu leader against national women’s singles player S. Kisona, using a racially derogatory “K” term; and secondly, when a preacher Ustaz Syakir Nasoha was seen in a viral video making disparaging racial comments about non-Muslim religions and the Dayak community.
If the Rukun Negara principles of nation-building for a united multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multi-cultural Malaysia had been fully promoted among Malaysians in the past half a century, such disparaging remarks would not have occurred. Read the rest of this entry »

The Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri should realise that more important than the 100-day ‘report cards’ of his jumbo-sized Cabinet Ministers (31 Minister and 38 Deputy Ministers) is his own 100-day report card as the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia.

In the last 50 years since 1970, when Malaysia’s Second Malaysia Plan and the New Economic Policy were launched, Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has increased 90 times from US$3,737bil in 1970 to US$338,286bil in 2020.
But Malaysia’s GDP has been overtaken by Singapore and Vietnam and continued to be behind Hong Kong.
