Call on Education Ministry Disciplinary Board not to take any disciplinary action against teacher Cikgu Fadli but to find a mechanism where views on school syllabus and heavy school bag issues could be aired and resolved

I call on the Education Ministry Disciplinary Board not to take any disciplinary action against teacher Mohd Fadli Mohd Salleh, better known as Cikgu Fadli, for being vocal about school syllabus and heavy school bag issues, but to find a mechanism where such views could be aired and resolved.

The Education Ministry Disciplinary Board meeting tomorrow should explore the possibility of developing such a mechanism.

Even the Perlis Mufti Mohd Asri is “stunned” that UMNO and BN’s objective in the 15GE is to make Malaysia a “haven for corruption”

(Versi BM)

Even the Perlis Mufti, Mohd Asri Zain is “stunned” that UMNO and Barisan Nasional’s objective in the 15th General Election is to make Malaysia a “haven for corruption” as stated by the UMNO and Barisan Nasional Chairman, Zahid Hamidi in his speech at the MIC Assembly on Monday.

Mohd Asri tweeted yesterday: “Stunned after hearing how a politician can openly admit (that his political party/coalition) has to win the general election to avoid corruption charges against them. If that happens, this country will become a haven for corruption.” (Terkesima mendengar, bagaimana secara terang orang politik boleh mengaku tujuan untuk menang PRU adalah bagi mengelakkan kes rasuah mereka dibicarakan di mahkamah. Is the 15GE about freeing Najib from jail or freeing Malaysians from poverty, exploitation, inequalities and injustices and position Malaysia to become a world-class plural nation?

(Versi BM)

Yesterday, one of the Barisan Nasional parties was said to have put forward a resolution to free former prime minister Najib Razak from imprisonment.

Although the party president concerned has issued a denial, there is no doubt that this is one explicit or implicit objectives of UMNO and Barisan Nasional in the 15th General Election. Read the rest of this entry »

The 2023 Budget, though the biggest in nation’s history, is no game-changer to resolve the economic crisis, raise the quality of education, ensure that Malaysia will not be a poor performer in another global pandemic or make Malaysia a world-class great nation

(Versi BM)

For several days this week, the foremost question in the minds of Malaysians is whether Parliament will be dissolved for the holding of the 15th general election despite the economic crisis and the worst monsoon and floods season threatening the country.

This speculative frenzy did not end with the tabling of the 2023 Budget by the Finance Minister, Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz yesterday as Malaysians are back to the question whether Parliament will be dissolved on Monday. Read the rest of this entry »

Will Malaysia have another week of ignominy where the topmost question in the country is whether Parliament will be dissolved or not?

(Versi BM)

Will Malaysia have another week of ignominy where the topmost question in the country is whether Parliament will be dissolved or not?

It is no credit to either the ninth Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri or to Malaysia that the question whether Parliament will be dissolved or not has paralysed the government, with Ministers sleep-walking in Parliament for a week not knowing whether they are coming or going. When will Najib make a full and clear statement on the history of his relationship with Jho Low, the other mastermind of the 1MDB financial scandal?

(Versi BM)

Four recent events have again highlighted the special relationship of the two masterminds of the !MDB financial scandal, viz:

1. The testimony of former AmBank managing director Cheah Tek Kuang that Jho Low rode in the convoy ferrying him to Najib Razak’s residence in 2011, and that Jho Low was present in Najib’s residence when the Ambank account opening forms were signed. Read the rest of this entry »

Will Parliament be dissolved tomorrow or day after?

(Versi BM)

The single question engrossing the minds of Malaysia is not whether Malaysia is on the precipice of facing the greatest monsoon and floods disaster because of climate change, likely to cause more than 54 human lives and property damage of some RM6.5 billion as last year, or the economic crisis faced by Malaysians because of increase of food prices and depreciation of the ringgit, or the tabling of the 2023 Budget on Friday, but whether Parliament will be dissolved tomorrow or day after.

I will be surprised if Parliament is dissolved tomorrow or Friday, for it will mean that we have a Prime Minister who has not only served the shortest tenure of 14 months, but the most irresponsible Prime Minister in the nation’s history who has abdicated his responsibility to Malaysians to help them weather the worst monsoon and floods season in history and to cushion them from the economic crisis of rising prices and depreciation of the ringgit. If former Prime Minister, Najib Razak, can attend Parliament while in prison, the Home Ministry will have to explain why it barred 11 DAP MPs from attending Parliament when detained under the Internal Security Act during Operation Lalang.

Call on Ismail Sabri to declare that Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara will meet from Oct. 3 to Dec. 7 as planned that there will be no attempt on his part to dissolve Parliament in between

(Versi BM)

Dewan Rakyat meets today under a cloud – whether Malaysia will become a joke in the world with the convening of the parliamentary session where the primary questions are not the economic crisis facing the country as a result of rising prices and a depreciating ringgit, and the forthcoming monsoon and floods season which claimed 54 lives and caused RM6.5 billion damage to property last year, but whether Parliament will be dissolved although there is no motion of vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister in the current session.

Parliamentarians regardless of party must safeguard the dignity and good name of the Malaysian Parliament and not allow 36 UMNO MPs to bring Parliament into disrepute because its “Court Cluster” leadership wants UMNO leaders to escape jail sentences for corruption charges. If Parliament is not dissolved in the next two to three weeks, then the 15th general election will be next year

(Versi BM)
If Parliament is not dissolved in the next two to three weeks, then the 15th general election will be next year.

The top UMNO leadership, which is now meeting in Kuala Lumpur on this question, wants the15GE to be held immediately, regardless of the problems of the people in terms of rising prices and depreciation of the ringgit, and also in utter disregard of the threat of the monsoon and floods season, which has started in some parts of the country and cost 54 human lives and damaged RM6.5 billion of property last year.
