The Dewan Rakat Speaker, Azhar Azizan Harun, has announced that Najib Razak has filed his pardon petition and will continue to be MP for Pekan until Parliament is dissolved.

Yesterday, the PAS President Hadi Awang asked why the PAS Non-Muslim wing cannot get Chinese support and said there is no reason the party should fail to garner support from non-Muslims, pointing to DAP’s record of electing Indian MPs in Chinese-majority seats.

I agree with Perikatan Nasional Chief Muhyddin Yassin that there is no need to debate the “root cause of corruption” remarks of the PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang, as it is as clear as day that the remarks are unMalaysian, irrational, extremist, without any theoretical, theological or factual basis.
Islam is one of the great religions of the world and teaches human being to be good, but Hadi has no problem in condoning corruption and working with Najib Razak, one of the masterminds of the monstrous mega 1MDB financial scandal. Read the rest of this entry »

With Rosmah Mansor conviction and jail sentence for corruption, a week after Federal Court’s unanimous dismissal of the former Prime Minister’s appeal on Najib’s first corruption trial, there is more light at the end of the tunnel.
There is no guarantee that the “more light at the end of the tunnel” will represent the final victory of the return of the original nation-building principles and policies as stated in the Malaysian Constitution and Rukun Negara, as there is a big battle looming ahead – the 15th General Election. The Prime Minister Ismail Sabri said the decision whether he as the Prime Minister or Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz will present the 2023 Budget to the Dewan Rakyat on Oct 7 has yet to be made.

UMNO President Zahid Hamidi’s failure to be a witness in former Prime Minister Najib Razak’s SRC International trial to testify that he had met the Arab family who donated cash into Najib’s accounts supports the stand of nine Malaysian judges that Najib’s Arab donation defence was “untenable” and “unsustainable”.
So far, apart from Zahid, nobody has met physically the mysterious Arab donor as even the delegation the then Attorney-General, Apandi Ali sent to Riyadh in 2015 had failed to meet the mysterious and fabled Arab donor.
