DAP wants Pakatan Harapan Government to succeed not just 50 or 500 days, but for 5,000 days – which means winning the 15th and 16th General Elections

We have just passed the half-way mark of the first 100 days in office of the Pakatan Harapan Federal Government in Putrajaya.

There are teething problems in the first 50 days of the Pakatan Harapan government, whether at the federal level in Putrajaya or in the eight state governments involving Pakatan Harapan – namely Penang, Selangor, Kedah, Perak, Negri Sembilan, Malacca, Johore and Sabah – but we must always maintain a positive mindset that we want the Pakatan Harapan governments to suceed.

We not only want the Pakatan Harapan government to suceed in first 50 or 500 days but for 5,000 days – which would mean for more than two terms of five years each and the Pakatan Harapan winning the 15th and 16th General Elections!

This is a tall order as the reimagining and remaking of a New Malaysia is not meant for timorous souls but for courageous Malaysians who dare to dream big dreams for Malaysia to be a world top class nation in several fields of human endeavour by leveraging on our unique assets that come from the diversity of the races, religions, languages and cultures that constitute Malaysia. Najib’s strategists have vindicated themselves – managed to win in the UMNO elections yesterday after they had been given a drubbing in the 14GE though it is likely to be a pyrrhic victory

Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s highly-funded strategists have at least vindicated themselves – managed to win in the UMNO elections yesterday after they had been given a drubbing in the 14th General Election though it is likely to be a pyrrhic victory.

As if to drive home the point that Najib is still a force to be reckoned with in Malaysian politics, Najib’s strategists went “for the kill” to deliver the message after the UMNO elections results were known last night that Najib is still the leading force in UMNO politics and to set the UMNO agenda in post-14GE with the statement on the pertinence and sagacity of Najib’s “bastardised” Malays prediction three years ago.
