Azam Baki should resign as MACC Chief Commissioner as he has been caught red-handed telling two conflicitng stories about MACC investigations into the RM9 billion LCS scandal

(Versi BM)

Azam Baki should resign as Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner as he has been caught red-handed telling two conflicting stories about MACC investigations into the RM9 billion littoral combatant ships (LCS) scandal.

On August 11, 2022 the MACC issued a statement saying that it had completed its investigation papers on individuals linked to the LCS scandal, that the investigation papers had been handed to the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) and the MACC had made recommendations on what charges to file against these individuals and waiting further instructions after the AGC had studied the papers. The Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat has asked Malaysians, particularly politicians, to read the judgements of cases before criticising judges over the decisions.

PSC on Agencies under PM’s Department must prove its worth by summoning the MACC Chief, Azam Baki to testify why he is playing the “blind, deaf and mute” game on the RM9 billion LCS scandal

(Versi BM)

Two days ago on Friday, I proposed that the Parliament Select Committee on Agencies under the Prime Minister’s Department meet urgently and summon the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner, Azam Baki to explain why the MACC had failed to take action against anyone for the RM9 billion littoral combatants ships (LCS) scandal although he had the benefit of two reports on the LCS scandal – the Special Investigation Committee on Public Governance, Procurement and Finance the LCS (JKUSTUPKK) headed by then auditor-general Ambrin Buang and the report of the forensic audit of the LCS procurement (2011-2014) carried out by Alliance IFA (M) Sdn. Bhd. at the behest of Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC) – which contained a myriad of possible charges on corruption, abuse of power, breach of trust, malpractices and cheating.

So far, Azam had given the lame excuse that the MACC needs more time for its investigation into the troubled RM9 billion LCS project as a few of the witnesses the MACC wants to summon are overseas. Read the rest of this entry »

Azam cannot continue to play the “blind, deaf and mute” game and selectively decide to ignore pertinent questions about the transparency, accountability and effectiveness of the MACC

(Versi BM)

Yesterday, I challenged the lame excuse of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner, Azam Baki that the MACC needs more time for its investigation into the troubled RM9 billion littoral combat ship (LCS) project.

Azam had told a press conference on Thursday that the anti-graft agency needed some time to summon more witnesses, including a few who were overseas.

Three scenarios for the 15th General Election

(Versi BM)

One of the chief talking points in Malaysia today is when the next 15th General Election will be held – from as soon as in a month’s time to some time next year.

If Prime Minister Ismail Sabri dissolves Parliament after the Finance Minister has tabled the 2023 Budget in Parliament on Oct. 7, 2023, he would be following the sole example of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in dissolving Parliament in the midst of the parliamentary debate on the 2000 Budget on Nov. 10, 1999 for the 10th General Election on 29th November 1999. Ismail Sabri should not follow the wrong and bad example of 1999 dissolution of Parliament after the 2000 Budget was presented but before it was passed by Parliament

(Versi BM)

One regular conversation topic is when the next 15th General Election will be held.

There is a theory that Parliament will be dissolved in a month’s time after the 2023 Budget is presented to Parliament on Friday, October 7, 2022 but before the Budget is passed by Parliament. Read the rest of this entry »

There are five reasons why Zahid Hamidi should step down as UMNO President.

Empty words of “no more delays in LCS project” are not good enough – what are the new milestones for the delivery of the six LCS, will it be during the 13th Malaysia Plan 2026-2030 when the first Letter of Intent (LOI) was issued as far back as the 9th Malaysia Plan?

(Versi BM)
Empty words of “no more delays in the littoral combatant ships (LCS) project” are not good enough.

The first of six LCS was scheduled to be delivered in April 2019, and by now, we should have five LCS (with the sixth to be delivered by June next year but absolutely no construction had been done on it yet) to protect the safety and security of Malaysia. Read the rest of this entry »

Hadi himself is the reason why the PAS Non-Muslim wing cannot get Chinese support

Yesterday, the PAS President Hadi Awang asked why the PAS Non-Muslim wing cannot get Chinese support and said there is no reason the party should fail to garner support from non-Muslims, pointing to DAP’s record of electing Indian MPs in Chinese-majority seats.

In asking this question, Hadi had only exposed a major defect in his political leadership for Hadi himself is the reason why the PAS Non-Muslim wing and PAS cannot win Chinese or non-Muslim support. Read the rest of this entry »

Is the jailing of former Prime Minister Najib Razak the tipping point for the Malays, who form the dominant majority in Malaysia, to realise that we must all become Malaysians First and not Malay first, Chinese first, Indian First, Kadazan first or Iban first if Malaysia is to succeed as a world-class great nation?

Agree with Muhyiddin there is no need to debate Hadi’s “root of corruption” remarks as it is as clear as day that they are unMalaysian, irrational, extremist, without any theoretical, theological or factual basis

I agree with Perikatan Nasional Chief Muhyddin Yassin that there is no need to debate the “root cause of corruption” remarks of the PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang, as it is as clear as day that the remarks are unMalaysian, irrational, extremist, without any theoretical, theological or factual basis.

With Rosmah’s conviction and jail sentence, there is more light at the tunnel but the big battle will be the 15th General Election as even the UMNO Secretary-General has agreed that it will be a battle of Rule of Law versus Corruption

With Rosmah Mansor conviction and jail sentence for corruption, a week after Federal Court’s unanimous dismissal of the former Prime Minister’s appeal on Najib’s first corruption trial, there is more light at the end of the tunnel.

There is no guarantee that the “more light at the end of the tunnel” will represent the final victory of the return of the original nation-building principles and policies as stated in the Malaysian Constitution and Rukun Negara, as there is a big battle looming ahead – the 15th General Election.
