Following the declassification of the 1976 Double-Six Crash Report, the Cabinet should next declassify the reports of CEP and IRC

(Versi BM)

I welcome the Cabinet decision to declassify the full report of the federal investigation on the 1976 plane crash that killed 11 people, including the then Sabah chief minister Fuad Stephens, for there is simply no reason or justification to keep the report under the Official Secrets Act for 47 years.

I am now more confident that the Anwar unity government can last five years to carry out institutional reforms in the country to reset Malaysia to become once again a first-rate world-class nation

(Versi BM)

After the first 100 days of the Anwar unity government, I am now more confident that the Anwar Ibrahim can last five years as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia to carry out institutional reforms in the country to reset Malaysia to become once again a first-rate world-class nation.

This is not only because of the success of the Anwar unity government, where after the first “Hundred Days”, the people are still hopeful that the Anwar unity government can reset and return to Malaysia’s original nation-building principles the nation’s founding fathers have written into the Malaysian Constitution and the Rukun Negara, but because the Parliamentary Opposition, the Perikatan Nasional (PN) had dismally failed the Hundred Days test.

Whether calculated from when Anwar Ibrahim was appointed Prime Minister or when the Cabinet was formed, Anwar had passed the “100 Days” test while Perikatan Nasional (PN) had failed the “100 Days” test

(Versi BM)

Whether calculated from when Anwar Ibrahim was appointed Prime Minister on 24th November 2022 or when the Anwar unity Cabinet was formed on 3rd December 2022, Anwar had passed the “100 Days” test while the Perikatan Nasional had failed the “100 Days” test.

The Anwar Unity Government had passed four crucial tests in its First Hundred Days — namely the convening of the 15th Parliament, the Vote of Confidence in Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Malaysian Prime Minister, the passage of the Motion of Thanks for the Royal Address and yesterday, the second reading of the 2023 Budget.

2023 Budget in last week of the first 100 days of Anwar unity government — will Parliamentary Opposition again fail the test to ensure political stability for Malaysia in the next five years so that Malaysia can become a first-rate world-class nation by maximising on Malaysia’s human and natural resources?

The 2023 Budget of RM386 billion was presented in the last week of the first 100 days of the Anwar unity government and the most important question is whether the Parliamentary Opposition of Perikatan Nasional will again fail the test to ensure political stability for Malaysia in the next five years so that Malaysia can become a first-rate world-class nation by maximising on Malaysia’s human and natural resources.

Call for review and reversal of decision to keep settlement of Apandi’s dismissal suit as Attorney-General by Mahathir in 2018 an “official secret” as it is completely indefensible in terms of public interest

Will Hadi follow Razman’s example and apologise for his baseless and preposterous allegation that DAP promoting Islamophobia or will he have to be dragged to court like Razman before doing so?

(Versi BM)

It is eleven weeks that PAS President, Hadi Awang has not been able to produce an iota of evidence to substantiate his wild and preposterous allegations that DAP is anti-Malay, anti-Islam, communist, and promoting Islamopobia, and yet Hadi will not apologise for his allegations and retract them.

Five proposals to kick-start the most memorable Parliamentary meeting in Malaysian history in a fortnight’s time

(Versi BM)

I have suggested that the seven-week Parliamentary meeting starting in a fortnight’s time should be the most memorable Parliamentary meeting in Malaysian history in initiating institutional reforms for Malaysia to achieve the twin goals of uniting the plural society in Malaysia and to restore Malaysia as a first-rate world-class nation.

I agree with Musa Hitam that time is not on the side of the Anwar unity government which is why the seven-week Parliament in a fortnight’s time must be the most memorable one in Malaysian history to start institutional reforms

(Versi BM)

I agree with former Prime Minister Musa Hitam that time is not on the side of the Anwar unity government, which is why the seven-week Parliament in a fortnight’s time must be a most memorable one in Malaysian history to start institutional reforms.

In his talk on “Resetting the Malaysian economy” in Parliament on Friday night, Musa said the time for the Anwar unity government to talk about the various issues faced by the country has passed, and it is now time to take proactive action to solve them.

One way to prove that the “Green wave” is a myth and the future belongs to a unity government is for Pakatan Harapan to perform better in the six state general elections when compared to 2018 GE

(Versi BM)

With the establishment of the “unity government” under Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister, Malaysians celebrated the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit with hope that Malaysia can be better tomorrow — more just, more equal and more prosperous, and less corrupt, less violation of human rights, and less scandalous.

Hamzah’s “Door always open” statement at the Concorde Club yesterday a sombre reminder why the Anwar unity government should have zero tolerance to toxic politics of lies, fear, hate, race, and religion which are based not only on falsehoods but could destroy the Anwar government and plural Malaysia as well

(Versi BM)

The “Door always open” statement by the Parliamentary Opposition Leader, Hamzah Zainudin, that he does not discount the prospect of Perikatan Nasional (PN) returning to power is a sombre reminder why the Anwar unity government should have zero tolerance to toxic politics of lies, fear, hate, race, and religion which are not only based on falsehoods but could destroy not only the Anwar government and plural Malaysia as well.

A PN government is not concerned about achieving a tiger economy for Malaysia, or restoring Malaysia’s greatness as world-class plural nation in education, health, social, or environmental terms, but in a direction which will end up on Malaysia’s Centennial in 2057 as a divided, failed, and kleptocratic state.

The six State General Elections will be a crucial test whether the Anwar unity government will have political stability to last for five years to give Malaysia a chance to change course to again become a first-rate world-class plural nation

(Versi BM)

Firstly, I must congratulate V. Ganabatirau for his 91,801 vote-majority win in the Klang Parliamentary constituency in the 15th General Election, the third parliamentary constituency with the largest majority.

His 115,539-vote win in the Klang Parliamentary Constituency has proved that Klang is one of the strongest bases of the DAP’s Malaysian Dream for a united, just, democratic, and prosperous plural nation which is of first-rate world-class standards.

Malaysia started New Year on good and proper footing — let us make Malaysia great again where abuses of power, corruption, and kleptocracy are no more associated with Malaysia

(Versi BM)

Malaysia started the 2023 New Year on a good and proper footing.

The old year of 2022 ended with an unprecedented stretch of 15 days in double-digit figures for the Covid-19 pandemic cases and 19 consecutive days in single-digit figures for Covid-19 deaths — with even one day (Christmas Day on Dec. 25) with zero death.

2023 will be make-or-break year for Anwar Unity Government and Malaysia to be great again

2023 will be a make-or-break year for Anwar Unity Government and Malaysia to be a great again.

The Anwar Unity Government has started on the right footing in its first month office, vindicating what Anwar promised after he was appointed the 10th Prime Minister by the Yang di Pertuan Agong on Nov. 24, 2022 that he would not compromise on good governance, the anti-corruption drive, judicial independence, and the welfare of ordinary Malaysians.

Malaysia has a big chance under Anwar unity government to rebuild Malaysia into a first-rate world-class plural nation – don’t spoil it

(Versi BM)

A clarification is in order with regard to my statement yesterday entitled: “Anwar should ignore Mahathir and learn the most important lesson of the 22-month Pakatan Harapan Government — carry out as many of the ‘reformasi’ institutional reforms in the early months of the new government as he may not have five years”.

I am aware that the naysayers are jumping on the statement as proof that Lim Kit Siang does not believe that Anwar Ibrahim will last five years as Prime Minister and fortified their resolve to topple Anwar Ibrahim as Prime Minister ala-Sheraton Move political conspiracy as soon as possible.

Vote of Confidence has solidified Anwar’s tenure as 10th Prime Minister for five years, although the guards must never be down on the possibility of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy to topple the Anwar government much earlier

(Versi BM)

The vote of confidence in Parliament yesterday on Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister has solidified Anwar’s tenure as Prime Minister for five years, although the guards must never be down on the possibility of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy to topple the Anwar government much earlier.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs made this point quite clear in the parliamentary debate yesterday although the masterminds of a Sheraton Move 2 political conspiracy must now realise that after the vote-of-confidence in Parliament yesterday, it is unlikely to happen in months as they originally expected.

Will the Perikatan Nasional MPs vote in support, abstain, or oppose the vote of confidence in Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia?

(Versi BM)

Will the Perikatan Nasional (PN) MPs vote to support, abstain, or oppose the vote of confidence in Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia?

It will be asking the PN MPs to do a very tall job to put nation before party, coalition, and self to support the vote of confidence in Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister in Parliament on Tuesday to ensure that there is clean, transparent, responsible, and stable political eco-system in Malaysia, which is the PN manifesto for the 15th General Election.
