PAS under Hadi and the five “tembikai” leadership only want PAS candidates to be “suicide bombers” to ensure victory of UMNO candidates in 14GE to protect Najib as Prime Minister

In the “Mood of the Nation Ahead of GE14” survey from August 11 to 15, the Institut Darul Ehsan (IDE), it was found that an united Opposition comprising Pakatan Harapan and PAS can control seven states and the federal territory in peninsular Malaysia and gain 59% of the national popular vote.
The seven states are Penang, Selangor, Kelantan, Kedah, Perak, Pahang and Malacca.
Furthermore, Barisan Nasional will lose its two-thirds majority in the almost all remaining states.
IDE chief executive director Dr Mohammad Redzuan Othman who presented the results of the survey which involved 4,486 respondents said the respondents were asked which party they would vote for if GE14 was held six months from now.
He said:
“If you obtain 52% of the popular vote (which Pakatan Rakyat did in the 13GE) you are still not secure, like what happened in Perak.

15% and 5% swing needed for Pakatan Harapan to win Melaka

I had previously said that a 10% swing in the Malay vote and a 5% swing in the non-Malay vote against the Barisan Nasional and towards Pakatan Harapan is sufficient for Pakantan Harapan to win 113 parliament seats in Peninsular Malaysia, to retain control of the Penang and Selangor state governments and to win control of the Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Perak state governments.
In order for Pakatan Harapan to win the Kedah state government, a little more than the 10% Malay and 5% non-Malay swing is needed and DAP is prepared to play a role in a few key marginal seats and help mobilise Pakatan Harapan voter support in Central and Southern Kedah if DAP could contest in Gurun and Kulim state assembly seats.
In the state of Melaka, a 15% swing in the Malay vote and a 5% swing in the non-Malay vote is needed in order to give Pakatan Harapan control of the state government. Read the rest of this entry »
A 15% swing in BN’s Malay support to Pakatan Harapan (PH) will allow PH to capture the state governments in Kelantan and Terengganu

Previously, I have said that a 10 and 5 formula, meaning a 10% swing in the Malay vote against the BN and a 5% swing in the non-Malay vote against the Bas compared to the results of the 13th General Election in 2013, would allow Pakatan Harapan (PH) to capture 113 parliament seats in Peninsular Malaysia thereby paving the way for a PH government in Putrajaya.
But this formula is not sufficient for PH to capture the state governments in Kelantan and Terengganu. In these two states, the small number of non-Malay votes basically means that the focus in both these two states are on the Malay voters.
A 10% Malay vote swing against the BN would only allow PH to capture 18/45 state seats in Kelantan with BN winning 19 and PAS winning 8. In Terengganu, a 10% Malay vote swing against the BN would still see BN winning 23 state seats with PH winning the remaining 9.
In order for PH to capture both of these states, there needs to be two conditions: Firstly, that the Malaysian tsunami against the BN would have to result in a 15% Malay vote swing in both Kelantan and Terengganu and Secondly, most of this Malay vote swing has to go to PH. PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang’s three public statements in the past week bespeak of his new role as the foremost apologist and defender of Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, in particular to deflect attacks and criticisms on Najib’s transforming Malaysia into a global kleptocracy.
Imagine, three public statements in the past week and not a single reference to the international multi-billion dollar 1MDB money-laundering scandal and Malaysia being regarded world-wide as a global kleptocracy in the past two years!
Like Najib, Hadi does not believe that there is any 1MDB scandal. He believes that Najib is the victim of an international conspiracy to character-assassinate the Prime Minister of Malaysia and he does not mind Malaysia being regarded world-wide as a global kleptocracy!
This is the PAS President in 2017, a far cry from previous PAS Mursyidul Ams and Presidents of yesteryears like Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, Fadzil Noor and Yusof Rawa – as it conceivable to imagine them leading a national and international campaign against the 1MDB scandal and to clear or clease Malaysia of the infamy and ignominy of being regarded worldwide as a global kleptocracy.
But today, under the Hadi leadership, Malaysia as a global kleptocracy is acceptable to PAS which would be anathema to Nik Aziz, Fadzil Noor and Yusof Rawa.

Pakatan Harapan will win 39 seats, BN 20 and PAS zero seats in Perak State Assembly if there is a three-cornered contest with a Malaysian tsunami with a swing of 10% Malay votes and 5% non-Malay votes to Pakatan Harapan from Barisan Nasional in the 14GE

In the past week, I had discussed the possibility of Pakatan Harapan (PH) winning 113 parliament seats in Peninsular Malaysia with the help of a Malaysian tsunami which will rid the country of BN’s 60 year rule and allow Malaysia to start on a clean slate under a new government.
In such a scenario, Barisan Nasional will win 50 parliamentary seats and PAS two seats in Peninsular Malaysia, setting the stage for formation of a Pakatan Harapan Government in Putrajaya with Sabahans and Sarawakians.
This Malaysian tsunami will take place if 10% of Malays and 5% of non-Malays were to switch their votes from the BN in the 13th General Election in 2013 to Pakatan Harapan in the forthcoming 14th General Election and that voters make a clear distinction between supporting Pakatan Harapan and rejecting PAS, as the PAS leadership under Datuk Seri Hadi Awang has become the greatest apologist and defender of Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s kleptocratic regime.
In the 13th General Election, Pakatan Rakyat won 53% of the popular vote but Najib became the first minority Prime Minister because Barisan Nasional won 60% of the parliamentary seats despite getting the support of the minority of the votes – thanks to the gerrymandering and undemocratic electoral system in the country.
The same electoral injustice happened in Perak in the 13GE, where the Pakatan Rakyat in Perak won 55% of the popular vote for the Perak State Assembly, but Barisan Nasional continued to form the Perak State Government as it won 31 State Assembly seats as against 28 for Pakatan Rakyat.
In four Perak State Assembly seats, PR lost by less than 303 votes – Lubuk Merbau where PR lost by 53 votes, Manjoi by 132 votes; Manong by 231 votes and Pasir Panjang by 302 votes.
If there is a three-cornered contest for the Perak State Assembly seats with PAS playing the spoiler’s role, with a swing of increase of 10% support from Malay voters and increase of 5% support from non-Malay voters from Barisan Nasional to Pakatan Harapan, a likely outcome will be Pakatan Harapan 39 seats, Barisan Nasional 20 seats and PAS zero seats. Last week, I discussed the possibility of Pakatan Harapan (PH) winning 113 parliament seats in Peninsular Malaysia with the help of a Malaysian tsunami which will rid the country of BN’s 60 year rule and allow us to start on a clean slate under a new government.
This Malaysian tsunami will take place if 10% of Malays and 5% of non-Malays were to switch their votes from the BN to PH and that voters make a clear distinction between supporting PH and support PAS.
Under these circumstances, even with PAS playing the role of a spoiler, PH will not only win the majority of parliament seats in Peninsular Malaysia, it will also win control of the state governments in Perak, Negeri Sembilan and Johor in addition to retaining Penang and Selangor with even larger majorities compared to GE2013 (See Table 1 below).

As Attorney-General is principal legal adviser to the government and not the final arbiter of law, had he advised the Prime Minister of Article 130 of the Malaysian Constitution to seek Federal Court opinion on whether Raus and Zulkefli’s re-appointment as Chief Justice and Court of Appeal President are constitutional or otherwise?

The Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Apandi Ali has finally spoken on the new constitutional crisis he had helped to precipitate as the principal legal adviser to the Federal Government, declaring that the re-appointment of Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif as Chief Justice and Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin as Court of Appeal President are constitutional.
But these are just superfluous words, for clearly, without the Attorney-General’s approval and sanction, the Prime Minister’s Office would not have issued the controversial media statement dated 7th July 2017 announcing the unconstitutional extension of tenure of Raus and Zulkefli’s as Chief Justice and Court of Appeal President respectively following their unconstitutional appointment as “additional judges” under Article 122(1A).
What the Attorney-General has written in his article in Berita Harian yesterday declaring that the re-appointment of Raus and Zulkefli as Chief Justice and Court of Appeal President respectively are constitutional does not add anything new to the arguments in the controversy as Apandi only repeated run-of-the-mill arguments defending the reappointment of Raus and Zulkefli in the two top judicial posts in the land as constitutional.
Apandi can go to the rooftops and shout a thousand times that the re-appointments of Raus and Zulkefli as Chief Justice and Court of Appeal President respectively are constitutional – but this does not necessarily make them constitutional. Read the rest of this entry »

Haris Ibrahim, a political activist, told Free Malaysia Today news portal today his concern that the reform agenda of the opposition may be set back if PPBM chairman Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is chosen as prime minister in the event that Pakatan Harapan wins the coming general election.
Haris Ibrahim, a longtime advocate of political reform, said it was becoming more and more likely that Mahathir would be prime minister again should Barisan Nasional be toppled.
He was commenting on a recent assessment of Malaysia’s political situation by Global Risk Insights, a publication for political risk news and analysis founded at the London School of Economics.

Parti Pribumi Youth chief, Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman gave a very passionate speech just now calling on Malaysians, particularly the youths, to be in the forefront of the political battle for change in the country.
I am reminded that I also started my political journey when I was 24 years old, like Syed Saddiq, but that was some 52 years ago.
This year, the nation will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of our attainment of Merdeka on August 31, 1957 when I was in Form Three in Batu Pahat High School.
I remember that the students in the school were assembled at the school padang, where the Merdeka Proclamation was read out.
We have failed in our Merdeka Dream and Vision to be a world-class nation as a parliamentary democracy; a successful and developed economy; a centre of educational excellence and a united, harmonious and progressive nation despite the diverse races, religions, cultures, languages in the country.
Malaysia has become a joke of a parliamentary democracy, where Members of Parliament are virtually prohibited from posing questions or debating the biggest financial scandal in the nation’s history – the 1MDB scandal. Read the rest of this entry »
Najib would have been found guilty in any consumer court for making false representations when he claimed that UMNO does not practise the politics of fear but spread the politics of hope
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak said in Perak today that UMNO does not practise the politics of fear as it spreads the politics of hope.
If the Prime Minister can be dragged to the Consumers Courts, Najib would be found guilty of making false representations claiming that it is practising the politics of hope when it is most guilty of practising the politics of fear!
For instance, Najib said in Perak today that DAP dominates Pakatan Harapan, and what is even shocking, that former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, and two former Deputy Prime Ministers, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin have become my stooges and puppets, answering my every “beck and call”.

One of the hottest topics in the country is speculation on the timing for the 14th General Elections and the possible outcomes.
Only a month ago, there was considerable unanimity among the psephologists and political soothsayers – that the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak would win hands-down in the next general election as the Opposition is too weak and divided, especially after the break-up of Pakatan Rakyat as PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang embarked on his new political journey to prop up and champion Najib despite his 1MDB kleptocratic scandal.
One journal even published an article entitled “The Unsinkable Najib Razak”.
Even Najib believe all these hypes.
But a fortnight night ago, there had been a start of a political hurricane in the country.

I want to give the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his propagandists a piece of free advice, that they should be consistent and credible or their propaganda campaign of lies, fake news and false information will come to nought like MCA complaining about losing the support of 85 per cent of Chinese voters in the 13th General Election.
The highly-oiled-and-financed UMNO/BN propaganda machinery suffered a paroxysm of doubt, uncertainty, contradiction and loss of direction when the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council on 14th July announced the new Pakatan Harapan structure, logo and leadership line-up, achieving what Najib’s kitchen Cabinet had thought impossible – the Mahathir-Anwar reconciliation after almost two decades of bitter political enmity.
The path-breaking Pakatan Harapan announcement, which reignited hopes among Malaysians that it is possible to dream and slog for political change in Putrajaya in the forthcoming 14th General Election, was a major blow to the UMNO/BN propaganda offensive of lies, fake news and false information built around the fairy tale DAP leaders and I myself in particular are the puppet-masters in Pakatan Harapan, and somehow, strong characters and personalities like Mohamad Sabu, Rafizi Ramli, Azmin Ali, Nurul Izzah, Wan Azizah, Anwar Ibrahim, Muhyiddin Yassin and Mahathir Mohamad have suddenly all become my stooges and puppets, at my beck and call!
This was why the Communications and Multimedia Minister, Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak thought he had found a chink in the Pakatan Harapan armour and was the first to jump out to champion the DAP, demanding to know the reason for the absence of the DAP leaders among the top three Pakatan Harapan leaders, whether the DAP had been sidelined and marginalized.
Various variations of this theme for a propaganda counter-attack by the UMNO/BN leaders and propagandists were tried out in the ensuing days, but they were trapped by the contradiction between claiming DAP leaders were the puppet-masters in Pakatan Harapan and alleging that DAP leaders had been sidelined and marginalized in Pakatan Harapan.
After a week of propaganda contortions and gymnastics, UMNO leaders and propagandists decided that it was more prudent and safer to return to the original propaganda theme that the DAP leaders had always been the dominant leaders in Pakatan Harapan.
This was why the Wanita UMNO Chief, Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil came to Gelang Patah with the pronouncement that Tun Dr. Mahathir’s appointment as chairman of Pakatan Harapan was a mere “drama” staged by DAP “to obscure the Malay voters’ eyes from seeing truth”. Read the rest of this entry »

After 52 years in politics, I thought no propaganda offensive and lies, however bizarre or outlandish, would have surprised me but I was wrong.
I refer to the scurrilous attack by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s aide, Tengku Sarifuddin Tengku Ahmad on former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, playing on Mahathir’s description of himself as “top dog” of Pakatan Harapan and claiming that in reality the “top dog’s leash in Kit Siang’s hand”.
In my 52 years in Malaysian politics, I had faced six Prime Ministers – Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak, Tun Hussein Onn, Tun Mahathir Mohamad, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib himself, but I had never descended to the gutter level of making personal attacks on anyone or them, always respecting the highest offices in the land and the personalities involved.
The term “top dog” may not be the most apt and correct term, but it must be regarded as an absolute “No No” in Malaysian politics to have to raid the animal kingdom to lower the bar in personal attacks on political opponents, especially a former Prime Minister who had been the longest-serving premier in the nation’s history!

UMNO/BN at sixes and sevens over Pakatan Harapan’s structure and leadership line-up last Thursday

It is quite hilarious to see the UMNO/Barisan Nasional leaders, propagandists and cybertroopers at sixes and sevens in the past two days over Pakatan Harapan’s structure and leadership line-up announced on Thursday midnight after a meeting of the Pakatan Harapan Presidential council.
The first to react was the Minister for Communications and Multimedia, Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak who seemed to be in a state of shock, complaining about the absence of the DAP leaders in the top three positions in the Pakatan Harapan line-up, for two reasons:
*Firstly, this is completely inconsistent and contrary to the UMNO/BN “black ops” media campaign of lies, fake news and false information with one overpowering theme – that DAP leaders dominate Pakatan Harapan and that the Malay leaders in PKR, Amanah and Pribumi Bersatu, whether Mohamad Sabu, Azmin Ali, Rafizi Ramli, Nurul Izzah, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and even Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad were just my stooges and puppets, completely at my “beck and call” and obedient to my directives and wishes.
*Secondly, which is the fate of most propagandists, Salleh and many UMNO/BN leaders, propagandists and cybertroopers have come to believe in these lies, fake news and false information, and they must be genuinely shocked at the Pakatan Harapan structure and leadership line-up which is out of line with their propaganda.
I was quite flattered, as for the first time in many months and years, the UMNO/BN propagandists forgot their script that I am the “dictator of dictators” not only in DAP but also in Pakatan Harapan, and we have the rare spectacle of UMNO/BN leaders championing me for being conspicuously absent from the Pakatan Harapan leadership line-up.
I thank Salleh and the other UMNO/BN leaders for their solicitious concern for my political future and the crocodile’s tears in asking whether DAP had been sidelined in Pakatan Harapan structure. Read the rest of this entry »

MALAYSIA’S former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Friday said opposition alliance Pakatan Harapan (Hope’s Pact) is committing to the process of releasing imprisoned de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim within one week if it assumes power in the next general elections.
The former premier, who was recently appointed Pakatan Harapan chairman, said the opposition pact would seek a royal pardon for Anwar who is currently serving a five-year prison sentence for his second sodomy conviction.
“We will wait for the law to take its course, not immediately because the prime minister who takes over will have a lot to do,” the statesman, who ruled the country for 22 years, told reporters after attending the pact’s presidential council meeting early Friday morning. The Minister for Communications and Multimedia, Datuk Salleh Said Keruak was mystified by the Pakatan Harapan leadership council decision yesterday on the structure of Pakatan Harapan and asked about the absence of the DAP leaders in the top three positions in the Pakatan Harapan line-up.
He asked: “Was DAP sidelined or the line-up was deliberately done to make as if the coalition is dominated by the Malays?”
It is neither.
DAP is neither sidelined nor do we dominate Pakatan Harapan, which is coalition of political equals based on the operational principle of consensus, unlike Barisan Nasional which is founded on UMNO hegemony.
For quite some time, the main thrust of UMNO/BN propaganda of UMNO leaders, propagandists and cybertroopers was to purvey the lies, fake news and false information that DAP dominated Pakatan Harapan and that I am a “dictator of dictators”, exercising dictatorship not only in DAP but also in Pakatan Harapan; and that Malay leaders like Mohamad Sabu, Azmin Ali, Rafizi Ramli, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Tan Sri Muhyiddin and Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad have sold their soul and were just my stooges and puppets.
This serves the UMNO grand strategy of a propaganda campaign of lies, fake news and false information to poison the Malay ground with the fear that if UMNO is defeated in the next general election, the Malays will suffer as the Chinese will grab the political power from the Malays.
These are all lies – for Malaysia can only start anew and find greatness if UMNO is defeated; and if UMNO is defeated, the Chinese will not grab the political power of the Malays as Malay political power in Malaysia is assured, with the Prime Minister from Pakatan Harapan a Malay and not a Chinese or non-Malay. Newly-appointed Pakatan Harapan Chairman and former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, in his blog yesterday, wrote:
“On the other hand, no RCI is being set up to investigate the proven losses of tons of money by 1MDB and Najib despite the enormous evidence of wrongdoings which are available to the world and the Malaysian public.
“The RCI on currency trading by Bank Negara more than thirty years ago is not about seeking justice but is clearly a desperate effort by Najib to silence his detractors. It will not work.”
I fully agree with Mahathir.
In fact, I want to ask if there was not a single one from the 36 Ministers who did not realize that establishing a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into Bank Negara forex earnings losses a quarter of a century ago without a RCI into 1MDB is the dumbest thing the Cabinet can do and that the Malaysian Cabinet has become the laughing stock in the world in the past three weeks?

Nobody would have thought that PAS would one day become the foremost apologist for UMNO kleptocracy and emulated UMNO propaganda campaign of demonization against the DAP and Pakatan Harapan.
But the PAS President, Datuk Seri Hadi Awang and his hardline mainstream leaders in PAS were caught red-handed in three such acts in the past one week.
It started with Hadi’s Open Letter to All Political Parties on the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfriti, joining forces with UMNO propagandists to divert the agenda for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri “balek kampong” discussions from 1MDB mastermind Jho Low’s gift of US$27.3 million pink diamond necklace and other multi-million US dollar gifts to the “wife of MO1”, the handing over of multimillion US dollar gifts by Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr and American actor Leonardo DiCaprio to US Department of Justice (DOJ) investigators to alleged “foreign interference” in Malaysian domestic affairs by US DOJ’s kleptocratic suits to forfeit US$1.7 billion 1MDB-linked assets from US$4.5 billion 1MDB international money-laundering scandal. Call on Kelantan voters to “kill two birds with one stone” by voting to change two governments – state and federal – in the 14th General Election

The 2008 General Election saw a “political tsunami” which saw UMNO/BN coalition losing power in five states – retaining power in Kelantan as well as capturing Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor.
The 2013 General Election was meant to be a political watershed event, bringing about for the first time in the nation’s history a change of Federal government in Putrajaya.
But there was national disappointment all round, as Datuk Seri Najib Razak was able to cling on to power as the first minority Prime Minister in the country through gerrymandering and a most unfair and undemocratic electoral system.
With 47% of the electoral vote, Najib secured 60% of the parliamentary seats although the majority of the voters voted against Najib and the UMNO/BN coalition with the Pakatan Rakyat at the time winning 53% of the popular vote.
Following the break-up of Pakatan Rakyat in June 2015 because of the refusal of the Hadi leadership of PAS to honour the Pakatan Rakyat Common Policy Framework and the Pakatan Rakyat’s consensus operational principle, Malaysians experienced the worst political disappointment in the nation’s history.
As a result many Malaysians lost hope in the possibility of bringing about political change through the electoral process.

Hope Husam Musa will become the new Kelantan Mentri Besar after the 14th General Election who will become a new role model not only for Kelantanese but Malaysians in other states as well

This is my fifth programme in my three-day “Jelajah Raya di Pantai Timur” to Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.
As I said in my fourth programme during Parti AMANAH’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri National Open House at the Kelantan Chinese Chamber of Commerce Hall in Kota Bharu this morning, the wind of political change is blowing strongly in the country, including Kelantan.
By the time of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri next year, political change would have created a new political landscape in the country as the 14th General Election would have been held by then.
I hope that by the time of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri next year there would not only be a new Federal Government and new Prime Minister in Putrajaya, but also a new Kelantan State Government and a new Kelantan Mentri Besar.
I hope that Datuk Husam Musa will be the new Kelantan Mentri Besar in the Hari Raya Aidilfitri next year, and I will return to Kota Bharu next year to attend the new Pakatan Harapan Kelantan state government Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House! Read the rest of this entry »
