Why Indonesia can reduce its daily new Covid-19 cases by over 96% in two months from 56,757 cases on 15th July to 1,932 cases yesterday, but Malaysia cannot do the same?
This is one of the many questions which the new Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin, should answer- Why Indonesia can reduce its daily new Covid-19 cases by over 96% in two months, from 56,757 cases on 15th July to 1,932 cases yesterday, Malaysia cannot do the same?
On 15th July, Malaysia’s daily new Covid-19 cases was registered as 13,215 cases. For the last two months, far from reducing the daily new Covid-19 caseload by over 96% – which means Malaysia returning to triple-digit numbers of less than 528 daily new Covid-19 cases – daily new Covid-19 cases had never gone below 14,000 cases. CSR MOU may fail as Ismail Sabri government is not Pakatan Harapan government but any such failure must not stem from Pakatan Harapan parties not honouring their commitments under MOU

One question that is frequently asked in DAP zoom meetings throughout the country is whether the confidence-supply-reform (CSR) memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan can fail.
Yes, the CSR MOU can fail as the Ismail Sabri government is not a Pakatan Harapan government, but any such failure must not stem from Pakatan Harapan parties not honouring their commitments under the MOU.

The 14,954 daily new cases yesterday is the first Covid-19 good news under Ismail Sabri premiership but one swallow does not make a summer
The 14,954 daily new cases yesterday is the first Covid-19 good news under the Ismail Sabri premiership since his appointment as the ninth Prime Minister exactly a month ago by the Yang d Pertuan Agong.
It is the lowest in some two months since July 26, when Malaysia recorded 14,516 daily new Covid-19 cases. Read the rest of this entry »
Queries and doubts about new Covid-19 deaths including increasing BID cases which await clarification from Khairy Jamaluddin
I have this morning received an email from a scholar tracking Covid-19 data, reinforcing doubts and queries about the recent data about Covid-19 deaths which must be clarified by the new Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin.
In fact, I would suggest that Khairy should make a Ministerial statement on the issue in Parliament tomorrow.
When will Malaysia start losing instead of overtaking other nations in cumulative total of Covid-19 cases as Malaysia will overtake three nations in Khairy Jamaluddin’s first month as Health Minister and be ranked No. 20 among nations in the world by next Friday?
When will Malaysia start losing instead of overtaking other nations in cumulative total of Covid-19 cases as Malaysia will overtake three nations in Khairy Jamaluddin’s first month as Health Minister and be ranked No. 20 among nations in the world by next Friday?
When Khairy was sworn in as the new Health Minister on August 30, Malaysia was ranked No. 23 among nations in the world with the most cumulative total of Covid-18 cases. Read the rest of this entry »
Why despite my mounting reservations about Ismail Sabri’s premiership in tackling the Covid-19 Pandemic and reset the country’s democratic directions, I still support the CSR MOU
Posted by Kit in CSRA, Ismail Sabri, nation building on Saturday, 18 September 2021
Despite my mounting reservations about Ismail Sabri’s premiership in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and reset the country’s democratic direction, Malaysians should give the ninth Prime Minister a chance to acquit himself and support the confidence-supply-reform (CSR) memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by Ismail and Pakatan Harapan leaders on Monday.
The support for the CSR MOU is not for Ismail Sabri’s sake but for the sake of the country and the future. Read the rest of this entry »
DAP and PH will do their utmost to make the CSR MOU signed between Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan work although there is no guarantee that it will successfully usher Malaysia into a new political landscape

There is no guarantee that the confidence-supply-reform (CSR) memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan (PH) parties will successfully usher Malaysia into a new political landscape.
The CSR MOU has evoked a whole spectrum of reactions, from a G25 spokesman and a former Treasury secretary-general in the early nineties who said there was now hope that the country will progress towards a smooth pandemic recovery as he was more confident about the country moving ahead compared to just a few days ago and saw light at the end of the tunnel to the other extreme that saw the CSR MOU as giving a life-line to those who wanted Malaysia to continue in the trajectory towards a kleptocracy, kakistocracy and a failed state. Three wishes for the 58th Malaysia Day on 16.9.2021

I have three wishes for the 58th Malaysia Day today on 16th September 2021.
Firstly, that when we celebrate our 59th Malaysia Day in 12 months’ time on 16th September 2022, there would be no doubt whatsoever that we have won the war against the Covid-19 pandemic. Read the rest of this entry »
Memorandum of Understanding on confidence-supply-reform (CSR) between Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan the most important political document in the nation’s history since the drafting of Malaysian Constitution and Rukun Negara

The memorandum of understanding on confidence-supply-reform (CSR) between the ninth Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan is the most important political document in the nation’s history since the drafting of the Malaysian Constitution and Rukun Negara.
One pertinent question is why such a memorandum of understanding had not been drawn up earlier in the nation’s history. Read the rest of this entry »
Khairy should explain why after two weeks, Malaysia is still world’s Top 7th in daily new Covid-19 cases and world’s Top Three in daily Covid-19 deaths, and when Malaysia will get out of the World’s Top 20 in both categories
The new Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin should explain why after two weeks in office, Malaysia is still world’s No. 7 in daily new Covid-19 cases and the world’s Top 3rd nation in daily Covid-19 deaths, and when Malaysia will get out of the world’s Top 20 nations in both categories.
Yesterday, Malaysia recorded 15,669 new Covid-19 cases, ranking as the world’s Top 7th in daily new Covid-19 cases, after United States (117,433 cases), Turkey (27,802 cases), India (27,4290), UK (26,628), Iran (22,329), Philippines (18,056). Read the rest of this entry »
Ismail Sabri would have been defeated in his first vote on the Deputy Speakership in Parliament yesterday and which may give him the shortest tenure of premiership than Muhyiddin if not for the confidence-supply-reform MOU signed a day earlier

The ninth Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri, would have been defeated in his first vote on the Deputy Speakership in Parliament yesterday and which may give him the shortest tenure of premiership than Muhyiddin Yassin if not for the confidence-supply-reform Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Prime Minister and Pakatan Harapan a day earlier on Monday, 13th September 2021.
But with the CSR MOU, a new political landscape had started, and the deputy speaker election was postponed to the next Parliament meeting when the Federal Constitution would be amended to create a third deputy speaker post for the opposition.

Call on Ministers who oppose government appeal against High Court decision that children born overseas to Malaysian mothers are entitled to Malaysian citizenship by operation of law to jointly raise the issue to withdraw the government appeal at this week’s Cabinet meeting

I call on Ministers who oppose the government appeal against the High Court decision that children born overseas to Malaysian mothers are entitled to Malaysian citizenship by operation of law to jointly raise the issue to withdraw the government appeal at this week’s Cabinet meeting.
So far, at least three federal Ministers had expressed their support for the High Court ruling, namely the de facto Law Minister, Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, the Women, Family and Community Development Minister, Rina Harun, and the Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister, Zuraida Kamaruddin. Lets co-operate to end the longest Covid-19 wave in the world causing two million Covid-19 cases and some 22,000 Covid-19 deaths in Malaysia instead of spending the next 10 to 18 month on political intrigues, plots and counterplots, though any new 10th Prime Minister in such circumstances will not be Anwar Ibrahim
Pakatan Harapan has signed a Memorandum of Undertstanding on Transformation and Political Stability with the ninth Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri.
Lets co-operate to end the longest Covid-19 wave in the world causing two million Covid-19 cases and some 22,000 Covid-19 deaths in Malaysia instead of spending the next 10 to 18 months on political intrigues, plots and counterplots though any new 10th Prime Minister in such circumstances will not be Anwar Ibrahim. The CSR memorandum of understanding between the opposition and the government a historic breakthrough and a critical test whether all Malaysians can unite to face an existential threat and reverse the tide of defeat to win the 21-month war against the Covid-19 pandemic
The confidence-supply-reform (CSR) memorandum of understanding reached between the opposition and the government is a historic breakthrough and a critical test whether all Malaysians can unite to face an existential threat and reverse the tide of defeat to win the 21-month war against the Covid-19 pandemic.
All differences will be set aside before the existential threat of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has claimed seven “911 tragedies” in Malaysia in terms of human lives lost, as some 21,000 people in Malaysia had died of Covid-19 in the past 21 months. Read the rest of this entry »
The 21-month Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia is equivalent to seven “911 tragedies” in the United States in human lives lost – when will the pandemic in Malaysia end?
America is marking the 20th anniversary of the terrible “911” Tragedy.
For Malaysia, the 21-month Covid-19 pandemic is equivalent to seven “911” tragedies in the United States in human lives lost – and Malaysians have a right to ask: When will the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia end? Read the rest of this entry »
Malaysia’s Sept. 11 tragedy – we have beaten USA not only in “daily Covid-19 cases per million population” but also in “daily Covid-19 deaths per million population”
Yesterday, America marked the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 tragedy – but unnoticed, Malaysia was having its own Sept. 11 tragedy yesterday.
This was Malaysia catastrophic handling of the 21-month war against the Covid-19 pandemic to the extent that yesterday, we beat the USA not only in “daily Covid-19 cases per million population”, we also beat USA in “daily Covid-19 deaths per million population”. Read the rest of this entry »
With a shocking 592 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, Malaysia is now in a worse stage than the United States in its worst period during the Covid-19 pandemic when it registered a peak of 4,489 Covid-19 daily deaths in the last week of the Trump presidency on January 12, 2021
Now I can understand the long delay in posting yesterday’s Covid-19 data on the Worldometer website, which would give among other things, the day’s latest Covid-19 death figures by about 7 pm daily but it was not available yesterday even after some three hours later.
I woke up this morning, like all Malaysians, to utter shock to find that the daily Covid-19 death figure for Malaysia yesterday was an unbelievable figure of 592 deaths, which placed Malaysia as the world’s Top No. 4th country in daily Covid-19 deaths yesterday – after Russia (796 Covid-19 deaths), Mexico (699 deaths) and Brazil (635), beating United States, India and United Kingdom, the world’s top three countries with the most cumulative total of Covid-19 cases. As an urgent anti-Covid-19 Pandemic measure, Parliament should decriminalise suicide in September/October meeting and Ismail Sabri should announce that no one will be prosecuted for attempted suicide until law is amended
As an urgent anti-Covid-19 pandemic measure, Parliament should decriminalise suicide in the September/October meeting starting on Monday and the Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri should announce that no one will be prosecuted for attempted suicide until the law is amended.
The 21-month long Covid-19 pandemic has caused an unusual rise in suicides – with the police recording 638 suicides in the first seven months of 2021, or three suicides a day, as compared to 631 in 2020 and 699 in 2019. Read the rest of this entry »
Premature for Khairy to talk about Covid-19 becoming endemic in October when Covid-19 death rates are still high
It is premature for the new Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin, to talk about Covid-19 becoming endemic in Malaysia at the end of October when Covid-19 death rates are still high despite a high vaccination rate.
While Malaysia should move away from the “Zero Covid” policy to ”Live with Covid” policy, we must strike a proper balancing act to ensure that while there is not a total end to Covid-19, there is also a resumption of normal, pre-pandemic economic and social life. Read the rest of this entry »

Former Prime Minister, Muhyiddin Yassin said that 2022 is the year of recovery for Malaysia.
This is like many of his statements and pronouncements when he was the eighth Prime Minister which had remained empty statements which had marked his disastrous premiership.
