Time to debunk the sea of lies, fake news and false information which had been polluting the political arena in the last few years

The time has come to debunk the sea of lies, fake news and false allegations which had been polluting the political arena in the last few years.
The Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri tried to justify the Sheraton Move conspiracy at the Selangor Barisan Nasional convention on Sunday when he justified the Sheraton Move which unconstitutionally and undemocratically toppled the elected Pakatan Harapan government after 22 months on the grounds of DAP dominance in the Pakatan Harapan government. I have never suggested to Mahathir who should be appointed to Cabinet or high office, and the posts he or she should hold, before or after Mahathir became Prime Minister of Pakatan Harapan Government

This is a very DAP occasion as DAP had always been in the forefront of change.

Agrees with Azalina that the Tobacco and Smoking Control Bill 2022 should be stood down so that Parliamentary Select Committees on Women, Children and Social Development and on Fundamental Liberty and Constitutional Right can give their views

I agree with Azalina Othman Said, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Special Select Committee on Women, Children and Social Development that the Tobacco and Smoking Control Bill 2022 should be stood down and referred to her Select Committee to determine whether the proposed Bill is in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The Parliamentary Special Select Committee (PSSC) on Health, Science and Technology has thrown its support behind the proposed Tobacco and Smoking Control Bill 2022 but its Chairman Dr. Kelvin Yii has called for a delay in its implementation. Read the rest of this entry »

How can Muhyiddin be an “overlooked reformer” when SOSMA, Sedition Act and Prevention of Crimes Act remain untouched on the statute books despite his being Home Minister for 22 months and Prime Minister for 17 months?

How can the Parliament Speaker Azhar Azizan Harun hail Muhyiddin Yassin as an “overlooked reformist” when SOSMA, Sedition Act and the Prevention of Crimes Act remain untouched on the statute books despite his being Minister for 22 months and Prime Minister for 17 months?
Azhar said on Friday at the launch of the book “Muhyiddin Yassin: Leading a Nation in Unprecedented Crisis” by Abdul Mutalib Razak that he could speak from personal experience as among Muhyiddin’s first initiatives as minister was to set up a committee to look into laws that were deemed “unsuitable” such as the Sedition Act, the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act, and the Prevention of Crimes Act. Can Zaid Ibrahim influence a single person to change his or her mind that Najib is not guilty of corruption in the monstrous mega multi-billion dollar 1MDB scandal?

I am surprised by Zaid Ibrahim’s new line of thinking but could he influence a single person to change his or her mind that Najib Razak is not guilty of corruption in the monstrous mega multi-billion dollar 1MDB scandal?
I am surprised by Zaid’s change of stand especially as it came after the widely-reported 100-page Azimah judgement in former Attorney-General Mohamad Apandi’s defamation suit against me was made public last week. Read the rest of this entry »

On Monday, I asked whether former Attorney-General Mohamed Apandi was capable of defending himself against the charge of being the worst Attorney-General in Malaysian history.
On Tuesday, I asked whether he would return the millions of ringgit he had extracted from the government in settlement of his lawsuit which he had instituted against the government for sacking him as Attorney-General, and asked him to explain the “legal, ethical and monetary basis” for acting as lawyer for Jho Loh, one of the key culprits responsible for the monstrous mega multi-billion dollar 1MDB financial scandal. Does Azam’s criticism of TI CPI meant that MACC now does not support the National Integrity Plan target for Malaysia to be among the top 30 countries in public integrity with the least corruption?

Under the fifth Malaysian premiership of Tun Abdullah Badawi, the National Integrity Plan 2013-2018 was formulated which targeted that Malaysia’s score of 5.2 in the year 2003 will be improved to at least 6.5 by 2008 (10 being the best and 1.0 being worst), as well as improving the ranking of Malaysia from 37th in 2013 to at least 30th position in 2018.
