RoS decision for fresh DAP CEC election as DAP CEC election in 2012 and re-election in 2013 not lawful and valid most ridiculous
The Registrar of Societies (ROS) decision for fresh DAP Central Executive Council (CEC) election as the 2012 CEC election and the 2013 CEC re-election were not lawful and valid is most ridiculous.
The DAP emergency CEC meeting tomorrow will decide on the party’s next course of action.
The four to five years taken by Registrar of Societies over the issue and the long campaign of demonization with lies, fake news and false information about the DAP, the DAP CEC election in 2012 and the re-election of 2013 have allowed fake news and false information to take on the appearance of actual truth and facts. May be this is what is now popularly referred to as “post-truth” by the propagandists and purveyors of fake news and false information.
In fact, it has led even independent observers to swallow hook, line and sinker to believe in these fake news and false information.
For instance, one independent commentator described the whole Registrar of Societies (ROS) fiasco as “a ticking time bomb of DAP’s own design” which should have been addressed a long time ago in a transparent manner.
How is the RoS fiasco “DAP’s own design”? Read the rest of this entry »
I will quit DAP if it is a Christian party

History shows the evil that can be done in the name of religion for political gain, including oppression of other religions and other schools of thought.
COMMENT
I joined DAP as a member before the 12th general election in 2008. I believe in DAP’s vision to make Malaysia a better place for everyone, regardless of race and religion.
I am convinced that DAP’s political framework based on “ideals of accountability, equality, justice and human dignity” (as stated in the party’s constitution) can serve as the best form of governance for the Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Kadazan, Bidayuh, and everyone else in this shared country.
I believe that DAP has accurately described the Federal Constitution as a “secular document”. And so, the party aims to follow the constitution to “preserve the special position of the Malays and Bumiputeras while protecting the rights of other races” and “safeguarding the position of Islam as the religion of the federation while simultaneously championing the freedom of other religions” (as stated in the party’s Shah Alam Declaration).
Nine years have passed since I became a DAP member. And the party has not changed its vision and political framework.
Therefore, it is extremely strange that there are people who allege that DAP is a Christian political party and has a “Christian agenda”. Read the rest of this entry »
MCA and Gerakan should not celebrate too early, as MCA and Gerakan candidates may get more serious whacking from the voters if DAP and Rocket logo are banned in 14GE
The statement by the Gerakan vice president Datuk Dr. Dominic Lau that the DAP should not blame its problems on UMNO, referring specifically to the revival of talk to ban the DAP and disallow the use of the Rocket logo in the 14th General Election, is the type of spineless statements which was the cause of the Gerakan and MCA retreating from their glorious past to their ignominious present.
The black ops UMNO/BN propaganda campaign in the social and mainstream media to demonise DAP have had some success, so much so that a few so-called impartial political observers could believe the tall tales that 865 DAP branches had been discriminated against and that 753 “delegates” victimized and not allowed to take part in the 2012 party elections and 2013 party re-elections, when these were “fake news and false information” with no ounce of truth whatsoever.
Dominic Lau said DAP should save itself from being deregistered by the Registrar of Societies before talking about the saving the country, questioning why the DAP was unable to resolve the issue concerning the validity of the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) line-up after five years.
This is the trouble with Gerakan leaders – they dare not ask why the Registrar of Societies why he could not resolve the DAP’s CEC line-up problem for five years, as it is safer for the political future of the “spineless” Gerakan leaders to blame the DAP instead. Read the rest of this entry »
Najib should not beat around the bush – if my political retirement is the condition for the end of the conspiracy to deregister DAP, say so, and I will give it consideration

The Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Home Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is going after the wrong target when he called on DAP leaders to cease speculating that DAP may be outlawed by the Registrar of Societies, as the speculation started from the inner sanctum of the Prime Minister’s Office when the press secretary to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Sarifuddin raised this possibility in his political exchange with the DAP Director of Political Education and MP for Kluang, Liew Chin Tong on Thursday night.
If Tengku Sariffuddin had trespassed into Zahid’s territory and jurisdiction as the Registrar of Societies is under the Home Ministry and not the Prime Minister’s Department, he should have been censured for his statement.
But the power balance in the Najib administration has gone as askew that Zahid’s removal as DPM is more likely than the censure of the press secretary to the Prime Minister, so long as Najib is the Prime Minister.
This was confirmed within hours of Zahid’s call as Tengku Sariffuddin issued another statement which clearly showed that there are two power centres in the Najib adminstration on the issue of DAP’s deregistration – the power centre in the Prime Minister’s inner kitchen circle which includes non-Ministers and may even exclude Zahid although he is Deputy Prime Minister and the power centre proper in the Registry of Societies and Home Ministry which should be the rightful authorities to deal with the subject. A major failure by UMNO “demonizers” as their black propaganda that DAP is anti-Malay and anti-Islam getting no traction among ordinary Malays and Muslims in East Coast simply because they are lies, fake news and false information
I have returned from a three-day 1,200-km “Jelajah Raya di Pantai Timur” in Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri in the East Coast states.
I had at least three objectives.
Firstly, I was on a mission of moderation. There is no point in Malaysia preaching the wasatiyyah principles of moderation, justice, compassion, balance and excellence to other countries in international conferences when Malaysians are allowed to disregard these very wasatiyyah principles at home. DAP leaders, members, branches and supporters should be prepared for UMNO/BN’s ultimate dirty tactics before the 14GE – ban the DAP and disallow the use of Rocket logo on the flimsiest of grounds
DAP leaders, members, branches and supporters should be prepared for UMNO/BN’s ultimate dirty tactics before the 14th General Election – ban the DAP and disallow the use of the Rocket logo on the flimsiest of grounds.
The possibility that the UMNO/BN government would use this ultimate dirty tactics against the DAP was revealed by none other than the press secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Sarifuddin in a late-night political exchange with the DAP Director of Political Bureau and MP for Kluang, Liew Chin Tong on Thursday.
Sariffuddin is clearly privy to Najib’s most secret plans for the 14GE, but the very fact that as a mere press secretary to the Prime Minister, he could openly show contempt for the Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Home Minister, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi, by intruding into Zahid’s territory and jurisdiction – as the portfolio of Registry of Societies is directly under the Home Minister and have not been shifted to the Prime Minister’s Department – shows the contempt of Najib’s staff for the Deputy Prime Minister in having no qualms about publicly humiliating the No. 2 man in government.
If a lowly creature like the press secretary to the Prime Minister has such public contempt for the Deputy Prime Minister, one can imagine the confusion and chaos in the Najib administration.
Is the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister privy to the conspiracy by the Najib kitchen cabinet – which includes non-Cabinet Ministers – to ban the DAP and the use of the Rocket logo just before the 14th General Election?
Sarifuddin’s statement is a clear indication that it will not be the Registrar of of Societies or the Home Minister who will finally decide on whether the DAP is to be deregistered by the Registrar of Societies, but by “little warlords” like Sariffuddin who will advise the Prime Minister on the matter. Three instances where Hadi and his hardline mainstream leaders in PAS were caught red-handed as foremost apologists for UMNO kleptocracy and emulating UMNO propaganda campaign of demonization against DAP and Pakatan Harapan

Nobody would have thought that PAS would one day become the foremost apologist for UMNO kleptocracy and emulated UMNO propaganda campaign of demonization against the DAP and Pakatan Harapan.
But the PAS President, Datuk Seri Hadi Awang and his hardline mainstream leaders in PAS were caught red-handed in three such acts in the past one week.
It started with Hadi’s Open Letter to All Political Parties on the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfriti, joining forces with UMNO propagandists to divert the agenda for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri “balek kampong” discussions from 1MDB mastermind Jho Low’s gift of US$27.3 million pink diamond necklace and other multi-million US dollar gifts to the “wife of MO1”, the handing over of multimillion US dollar gifts by Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr and American actor Leonardo DiCaprio to US Department of Justice (DOJ) investigators to alleged “foreign interference” in Malaysian domestic affairs by US DOJ’s kleptocratic suits to forfeit US$1.7 billion 1MDB-linked assets from US$4.5 billion 1MDB international money-laundering scandal. Pakatan Harapan should aim to achieve a “double whammy” in five states in the 14 GE – winning five new state governments as well as the federal government in one go
Posted by Kit in DAP, Elections, Parti Amanah, PAS on Friday, 30 June 2017
The 2008 General Election saw a “political tsunami” which saw UMNO/BN coalition losing power in five states – retaining power in Kelantan as well as capturing Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor.
The 2013 General Election was meant to be a political watershed event, bringing about for the first time in the nation’s history a change of Federal government in Putrajaya.
But there was national disappointment all round, as Datuk Seri Najib Razak was able to clinch on to power as the first minority Prime Minister in the country through gerrymandering and a most unfair and undemocratic electoral system.
With 47% of the electoral vote, Najib secured 60% of the parliamentary seats although the majority of the voters voted against Najib and the UMNO/BN coalition with the Pakatan Rakyat at the time winning 53% of the popular vote.
Following the break-up of Pakatan Rakyat in June 2015 because of the refusal of the Hadi leadership of PAS to honour the Pakatan Rakyat Common Policy Framework and the Pakatan Rakyat’s consensus operational principle, Malaysians experienced the worst political disappointment in the nation’s history.

Perutusan Aidilfitri pada hari Sabtu, 24 Jun 2017 di Gelang Patah
Syeikh Abdullah Bin Bayyah, presiden Forum Memupuk Keamanan dalam Masyarakat Muslim (Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies) dilaporkan berkata dalam World Economic Forum 2017 di Davos Januari lalu, seperti berikut:
Why are there people who insist on creating the scare that DAP is anti-Malay or anti-Islam when they know these outrageous charges are fake news and false information?
DAP is a Malaysian political party, promoting the rights and interests of all races and religions in the country, and we have within our ranks Malaysians from all races and religions, whether Malays, Chinese, Indians, Ibans, Kadazans and Orang Asli; whether Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs or Taoists.
DAP is not anti-Malay and anti-Islam as demonstrated by the record of the nine-year DAP-led Penang State Government, serving interests of all Malaysians in Penang, regardless of race, religion or socio-economic background.
We cannot be anti-Malay or anti-Islam for this will be anti-Malaysian, which comprise the diverse races and religions in the country.
Why then are there people who insist on creating the scare that DAP is anti-Malay and anti-Islam when they know that these outrageous charges are fake news and false information? Read the rest of this entry »
Alas – Kamarul Zaman is only a “downline” UMNO propagandist, and his admission that it is ridiculous for anyone to claim that “Lim Kit Siang is the DAP and DAP is Lim Kit Siang” will not stop the “upline” UMNO propagandists, cybertroopers and leaders from continuing such attacks
Kamrul Zaman Yusoff has done irreparable harm to the academic reputation of University Utara Malaysia (UUM) and I mourn for Malaysia’s university academic standards when people like him could become the director an university institute of political analysis.
Kamarul Zaman has only exhibited his academic mediocrity and sloppiness in his gem of lies and falsehoods in his latest FaceBook posting, repeating the garbage about a “DAP Christian agenda”, and claiming as proof two major “strategists” of such agenda, the DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke and DAP national publicity chief Tony Pua.
But Kamarul Zaman did UUM and Malaysian universities’s academic reputation no favours when he committed the most rudimentary academic sin of being misled by Loke and Pua’s western names and not verifying that Loke and Pua are Christians in the first place. For Kamarul’s information, both Loke and Pua are not Christians. Where come the DAP’s “Christian agenda”? Read the rest of this entry »
The most meaningful way to celebrate Malaysia’s 60th National Day celebrations is to launch a national movement to save the country from the politics of lies, hate and fear to ensure that what happened in Manchester, Jakarta and Egypt in the past week never happen in Malaysia
Posted by Kit in DAP, nation building, Politics, Religion on Monday, 29 May 2017
The past week had been a sober reminder that we are living in dangerous times, with the senseless bombings and killings in Manchester, Jakarta and Egypt, causing the death of over 50 innocent lives and the injury of scores of others as a result of bigotry, intolerance and extremism.
In Malaysia, there has recently been an intensification of the politics of lies, hate and fear coupled with irresponsible politics of race and religion which must be condemned by all right-thinking Malaysians who want the country to be an oasis of peace, tolerance, harmony and goodwill in the midst of diverse races, religions and cultures.
Malaysia can and must be a showcase to the world that diverse races, religions and cultures can live in peace, tolerance, harmony and understanding and not in bigotry, intolerance or strife. Read the rest of this entry »
Malaysia can only succeed as a top-class nation competing with rest of the world if Malaysians adhere to the Constitution and Rukunegara principles to be good Malaysians by being good Muslims, good Buddhists, good Christians, good Hindus, good Sikhs and good Taoists
I want to start by apologizing to Hannah Yeoh, Selangor State Assembly Speaker and DAP State Assemblywoman for Subang Jaya, that although she gave me a copy of her book, “Becoming Hannah – A Personal Journey” more than two years ago, I did not get to reading it until she and her book became a controversy because an university academician in Universiti Utara Malaysia accused her of trying to “proselytize” Muslims.
It was then that I read her book.
I am not a Christian and reading her book, I do not feel that Hannah was trying to proselytize or Christianise any person from another faith. I do not feel “proselytized”! I am indeed surprised and shocked that an university academician can come to such a conclusion. Read the rest of this entry »
Will Annuar Musa bear full legal responsibility for the “Lim Kit Siang is racist” writing contest and all the articles which won awards?
I have one question for the UMNO Information chief Datuk Annuar Musa whether he would bear full legal responsibility for the “Lim Kit Siang is racist” writing contest and all the articles which won awards.
I have not yet seen a copy of the book inspired and launched by Annuar Musa titled “DAP Bahaya Kepada Melayu-Islam Di Malaysia) (DAP a danger to Malays and Islam in Malaysia”) in Shah Alam yesterday but according to the DAPSY Youth Wong Kah Woh, the book violated the law as it does not display the names of the publisher and printers as required by the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 (PPPA).
This is the second question for Annuar to answer – how could the UMNO Information chief launch such a book and whether UMNO leaders are above the law? Read the rest of this entry »
‘Contest to label someone a racist is stupid’

Depravity is a dangerous indulgence to fall into. It may cause us to lose our minds. We become stupid, not knowing we are.
There is another way of saying the same thing: “Those whom God wishes to destroy, He first drives them mad.”
How can they ever rationalise a contest to label someone is a racist? Is this not what the ‘Lim Kit Siang is racist’ writing contest is all about? Read the rest of this entry »
While Malaysians condemn the bombings and killings in Manchester, Mindanao and Jakarta, we must not allow the country to slide towards greater intolerance and extremism because of racial and religious politics of lies, hate and fear
Malaysians condemn the bombings and killings in Manchester, Mindanao and Jakarta but we must learn the lessons of these tragedies and horrors – we must not allow Malaysia to slide towards greater intolerance and extremism because of the racial and religious politics of lies, hate and fear.
Yesterday, Selangor DAP central committee member Edry Faizal Eddy Yusof lodged a police report over the death threats made against him on a hate-and-damn-DAP Facebook page.
As Edry said yesterday, differences in opinion are part of a healthy democracy, but not when it leads to extremists conjuring falsehoods and threatening a person’s safety. Read the rest of this entry »
Irony of ironies – Wasatiyyah for the world but no wasatiyyah at home
Irony of Ironies – Wasatiyyah for the world but no wasatiyyah at home. Instead, there is growing tataruf.
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been promoting the Wasatiyyah (moderation) principles of justice, balance and excellence in the past few years in his international campaign for the Global Movement of Moderates (GMM) embracing all nations, religions and communities, but at home, there is the growing phenomenon of tataruf, which has been described by the former CEO of GMM as the opposite of wasatiyyah and denotes inclination towards the peripheries, extremism (including violent extremism), radicalism and excess.
The assault of film director David Teoh in front of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Najib during a Transformation Nasional 50 (TN50) dialogue session at the Prime Minister’s residence on Wednesday night is a slap on the Prime Minister’s Wasatiyyah campaign of the past few years – an incident which would not have happened in the past 60 years under six Prime Ministers of Malaysia!
Another instance of the absence of wasatiyyah is the false and malicious police report lodged by University Utara Malaysia (UUM) lecturer Kamarul Zaman Yusof against Selangor Speaker and DAP Selangor State Assemblywoman for Subang Jaya, Hannah Yeoh, accusing her of proselytization of Muslims with the publication of her autobiography “Being Hannah” three years ago. Kamarul Zaman’s police report against Hannah Yeoh raises the question whether he is fit and proper to be a lecturer of plural Malaysia’s public university

Kamarul Zaman Yusof’s false and malicious police report against Selangor Speaker and DAP Selangor State Assemblywoman for Subang Jaya, Hannah Yeoh, accusing her of proselytization of Muslims with the publication of her autobiography “Being Hannah”, raises the question whether he is fit and proper to be a lecturer of plural Malaysia’s public universities.
It is a further sign that the Malaysian nation-building process, after six decades, have gone terribly wrong and must be corrected.
It is unimaginable that Hannah Yeoh’s autobiography on her personal journey to be a good Christian so as to be a good Malaysian would have caused objections, let alone be the subject of a false and malicious police report of proselytization to Muslims, in the first five decades of our nationhood. In playing the race and religious cards at 71st UMNO anniversary, Najib has wiped out the credibility of his Vesak Day speech that extremism should be “very few on the fringe”

In playing the race and religious cards at the 71st UMNO anniversary last night, the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razaak has wiped out the credibility of his Vesak Day speech that extremism should be “very few on the fringe”.
This is because Najib had given extremism the centre stage when he said last night: “For PAS, DAP is the enemy of Islam, while for Umno, DAP is the enemy of the Malays.”
This is part of the UMNO/BN demonization campaign of lies, hate and fear which Najib had directed UMNO cybertroopers to launch against the DAP in the middle of last month.
Over the decades, DAP had worked for a Malaysian cause with Malay and Muslim leaders, whether from PAS, UMNO or other parties, including Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Hussein Onn, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Tan Sri Rais Yatim, Datuk Fadzil Noor, Datuk Seri Nik Aziz Nik Mat, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Mohamad Sabu, among many others.
Is it seriously suggested that the three former Prime Ministers, Tengku Abdul Rahman, Tun Hussein and Tun Mahathir, one-time UMNO stalwarts like Tengku Razaleigh Hamzan, Tan Sri Rais Yatim, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, former PAS President Fadzil Nor and former PAS Mursyidul Am Nik Aziz had been puppets and stooges of DAP to serve DAP’s anti-Malay and anti-Islam objectives? How many Malaysians will believe that I want to be Prime Minister of Malaysia so as to appoint Guan Eng as Deputy Prime Minister?
Posted by Kit in Corruption, DAP, UMNO on Monday, 8 May 2017
In the last 24 hours, I came across three items on the social media in the vicious demonization campaign launched by UMNO/BN propagandists and cyberbroopers in the run-up to the 14th General Election to paint me as a devil, a puaka, even jembalang; that I am anti-Malay, anti-Islam; cause of May 13, 1969 riots; a communist; a stooge of foreign powers; that I dominate Pakatan Harapan and made other leaders like Tun Mahathir, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Mohamad Sabu into my stooges and puppets, etc.
The first one was a WhatsApp visual, with the words: “The crystal ball shows that Lim Kit Siang will be Prime Minister after GE14”.
The second was a two-and-a-quarter minute youtube visual “Apa Untong Rakyat Dengan DAP” which demonised me garbed in a communist uniform, accused me of causing the May 13 riots in 1969 and the “power” behind the “DAP-led” Pakatan Harapan.
The third is the accusation that I want to be Prime Minister after the 14th General Election so that I can name Guan Eng as the Deputy Prime Minister.
How many Malaysians will believe that my political ambition is to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia so as to appoint Guan Eng as Deputy Prime Minister? Read the rest of this entry »
