Let Deepavali this year mark a new beginning for mankind after the ravages and destruction of the 22-month Covid-19 pandemic
More than five million lives in the world have been lost in the Covid-19 pandemic but health experts and the World Health Organisation (WHO) estimate that the true toll could be far higher – two to three times higher than the official records.
By the first week of November, the global cumulative total of Covid-19 cases would have reached 250 million cases. Read the rest of this entry »
Government should adopt the 5,000 children orphaned by the Covid-19 pandemic which had killed more than 29,000 people by setting up a special orphanage responsible for their education from primary to university level as well as all their welfare needs
The cumulative death toll of the 22-month Covid-19 pandemic has passed the 29,000-mark and some 5,000 children had been orphaned as a result of the loss of their parents who perished in the pandemic.
It took 13 months for Malaysia to record the first 1,000 death on February 17, 2021, but it has taken two weeks to record the last thousand deaths from 28,000 to 29,000 Covid-19 deaths. Read the rest of this entry »
The Confidence-Supply-Reform (CSR) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is about the minimalist position both sides could agree and not the maximalist position each side could demand

I received a note from a DAP supporter about the 2022 Budget presented by the Finance Minister, Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz presented to Parliament last Friday.
The note said:
“DAP should vote against the passing of Budget 2022.
“To protest against the Budget giving overwhelming allocations for the Malays and peanuts to the other races. They are virtually telling you that Chinese votes don’t matter. If PH votes for the Budget, I won’t bother voting in GE15.” Read the rest of this entry »
Ismail Sabri should stop making “motherhood statements” but act or explain why no action is being taken against two former Prime Ministers for violating the Health Ministry SOP for the Malacca general election
The Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri should stop making “motherhood statements” but act or explain why no action is being taken against the two former Prime Ministers, Najib Razak and Muhyiddin Yassin, for violating the Health Ministry SOP for the Malacca General Election banning physical election campaigns and “disguised” events.
Ismail Sabri has an alternative – admit that the Health Ministry SOP was not suitable and not well thought through and should be repealed and replaced by a more suitable one – the result of the consultation of the Health Ministry, Election Commission, the political parties and interested NGOs. Matters of concern that Malaysia’s daily Covid-19 death figures have yesterday risen to 65 deaths after two days of reduced numbers and the Brought-in-Dead (BID) Covid-19 deaths are again in double-digit figures
The 2022 Budget presented by the Finance Minster, Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz to Parliament on Friday was one major exercise of denial syndrome where the Ismail Sabri government refused to face up to the fact that until the confidence-supply-reform (CSR) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the Prime Minister and the four Pakatan Harapan leaders on Sept. 13, 2021, Malaysia had lost the war against the Covid-19 pandemic, especially from the declaration of Emergency on January 11, 2021.
When the 2021 Budget was presented by Tengku Zafrul in the Muhyiddin Government on Nov. 6, 2020, there were cumulative totals of 38,189 Covid-19 cases and 279 Covid-19 deaths.

PKR fined RM10,000 for crowdless ceramah is height of idiocy
Posted by Kit in Corruption, Elections on Monday, 1 November 2021
The RM 10,000 fine on PKR for the crowdless ceramah in Paya Rumput, Melaka last night is the height of idiocy in the Covid-19 pandemic for the forthcoming Malacca state general election.
I would have thought Malacca PKR should be commended for coming up with a very novel way of electioneering in the forthcoming general election in Malacca which takes into account the paramount consideration not to worsen the Covid-19 situation and yet further the objective of free, fair and clean election – but instead, there was a $10,000 fine.
