=========================
DAP is holding an emergency Central Executive Committee meeting today on the extraordinary political developments in the country and we should wait for the outcome of the meeting.
However, let me comment on postings that went viral on the social media yesterday – one with the heading: “Kit Siang di kesan berada di airport, mau lari ka…?” with photograph of me at an airport and another by an UMNO leader with the heading: “Mohon standby di airport, tahan pemimpin DAP, PKR, PAN yang nak lari keluar negara – Azri”.
I was at the Penang Airport last night waiting for the flight to Kuala Lumpur to attend P. Gunasegaram court cases today, and the question of my running away from Malaysia was never in my mind.
In fact, the thought of running away from Malaysia never entered into the mind of any DAP leader, for we are not thieves, robbers or rogues, but dedicated and patriotic Malaysians who want to end Malaysia plunging along the trajectory of a failed, rogue and kleptocratic state.
DAP men and women want to do good for the country for all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or region. We are in politics because we believe that politics is an honest, honourable and even noble avenue to make Malaysia a better nation for our children and children’s children; that it is politicians and not politics which is dirty; and we hold to this belief.
The Save Malaysia mission of the 14th General Election is still very valid and relevant, as we do not want to revert to a global kleptocracy, and even worse, become a kakistocracy with the worst elements who practice dishonesty, perfidy and corruption in the government.
There are attempts to carry out a coup against the decision of Malaysian voters in the 14th General Election on May 9, 2018 by forming a back-door government which will betray and negate the promises of Pakatan Harapan for a New Malaysia.
Imagine those who had propped up a kleptocratic regime for a decade now claiming to be the vanguard of a clean Malaysia with zero tolerance for corruption?

Dear Kit, dear DAP, be strong. Stand together, continue the struggle. We are all with you. Yes, strong winds are blowing against us, but together we shall prevail. Through a travail, we learn those who are with us, and those who are against us. We learn who are the strong and who are the weak. We must not make the same mistakes twice.
Once the dust has settled on this present crisis, please take note and plan for the long term. Many mistakes were made from 9th May 2018 till now. Let us not repeat them.
All the best for the next 72 hours. God bless you all.

Stop calling Mahathir or Azmin smart. It’s poor leadership, it’s abuse of power, it’s incompetent they cannot manage their personal problems and let it dirty the need of the country and people. Malay leadership sucks. Period.

What I do not get is how Warisan, GPS and Mahathir could possibly do a deal with Hadi Awang in it? Seriously, Mahathir knows Hadi and PAS in power spells the beginning of the end, his criticism of Islamic practises coming true, and how GPS and Warisan justify it to their people???
#4 by Bigjoe on Monday, 24 February 2020 - 1:16 pm
Worst still, Hadi Awang is a hypocrite. He knows the video in Sabah of Azmin is real. Now suddenly homosexuality is OK for him to get into power. How can Warisan, GPS and Mahathir do a deal with Hadi’s PAS biggest hypocrite with weapinized Islam?

Frankly sheer incompetence, the entire lot of Malay leaders
#6 by Bigjoe on Monday, 24 February 2020 - 5:39 pm
So everyone want Mahathir to be PM for now but there is disagreement who would take over and probably when although there was an agreement before. Azmin & Co are the culprits but frankly Mahathir handling is incompetent. The entire Malay leadership on all sides are incompetent and a laughing stock. Its no way to run anything much less a country..

For the life of me, how can anyone support Azmin. He has only 11 of 50 PKR MPs, he wants Mahathir to join with UMNO who he just kick out and Najib nor anyone has gone to jail yet, and he wants Mahathir to join with Hadi & PAS who he think is unqualified to run anything much less be part of the govt?
Why do anyone think Azmin is smart? Frankly, he sounds dumb as a bat.

What I cannot figure out is how Muhiyiddin could have so badly read Mahathir knowing him so long and so intimately going against Najib’s UMNO? They really thought Mahathir could be pressured to just follow along with their plans?
#9 by Bigjoe on Tuesday, 25 February 2020 - 3:08 am
What is this nonsense that working with UMNO is not betrayal just because they support Mahathir??? How in god world has Malay leader politics becomed so toxic and dysfunctional?? “
#10 by Bigjoe on Tuesday, 25 February 2020 - 3:16 am
How is forming a govt with UMNO-PAS NOT working and joining with UMNO-PAS. These people are so used to BS, they have no clue they are doing it when everybody else see it as common sense?
#11 by Bigjoe on Tuesday, 25 February 2020 - 3:28 am
In all seriousness, how more gay can Azmin be with these kinds of thinking??
#12 by Bigjoe on Tuesday, 25 February 2020 - 3:41 am
Malay leaders politics is a freaking joke. These people claim racial, religo divinity for their cause that oppose homosexuality but they are following the reasoning and excuse of the gayest politics for national politics and they have no Clue????

If the purpose of this coup is to get unno on board so that the criminals will be freed, these traitors should be arrested and prosecuted. Should the police make an investigation? the cousin tried very hard to make the coup happening, so the motive is very clear. some one please lodge a police report.
bersatu is dreaming? it is a mosquito party and next will be swallowed by unno. next prime minister will be from unno. why the move by bersatu members. not understandable.

Looks like Old Horse came out of this smelling like roses.
Wasn’t he the one who allowed the frogs from his previous party to join PPBM?
Wasn’t he supposed to have the consensus of his partner parties in PH before doing such things?
Although Malaysians are the owners of this country, they were time and again treated as “no count” in such matters as well as in most other matters affecting their daily life as well as their quality of life!
It is extremely galling to see that while Singapore went on from strength to strength right from the get-go of their Independence, we have been lurching from crisis to crisis throughout ours!
Is our country, which has a population of more than five times that of our Southern neighbour, so lacking in patriots that we may even end up as a basket case?
We want quailty people to steer this country but time and again, we ended with amateurs and or bunglers!
This is no time for fools to be appointed to positions of power because the future of this country is in jeopardy!!!

I think that it is long past time for Malaysians to partake in vetting the quality of politicians prior to even letting them stand for general elections.
This, will at the minimum, be one layer of checks and balances.
Their personal profiles will be published in all the various media and enough time must be given to the public to voice their objections.
We often even have candidates who have dubious degrees from degree mills standing for elections!
And even when revealed, nothing is done to disqualify them!!!
They will be put “out in the sun to dry” before they even qualify for candidacy!
Those found guilty of any deceptions will be permanently barred from all future general elections!
Better still, we can also have them voice their views on matters which are currently affecting our country.
Like how to reduce the soaring prices of most things in this country etc and improving the overall quality of life of all Malaysians.
Malaysians can then make their views known in the same media.
As much vetting as possibe by the stakeholders in this country will definitely be beneficial versus the current “I do it my way” attitude of our politicians.
