Imagine the protest and demos all over the country if a DAP MP had proposed a Bill which is alleged to show contempt for the Malay Rulers!

Mohamed Tawfik Ismail, the son of the second Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Ismail Abdul Rahman, yesterday filed a lawsuit asking the courts to declare that PAS President, Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act (Act 355) is unconstitutional, and seeking an order from the High Court in Kuala Lumpur to prohibit the Dewan Rakyat from allowing Hadi’s motion to be tabled and debated in Parliament.

The grounds advanced by Mohamed Tawfik was that Hadi’s private member’s bill was unconstitutional, flouts Parliamentary procedures and in contempt of the Rulers’ Conference as prior consent was not obtained.

Imagine what would have happened if there is a court application against the DAP on the ground that a DAP MP had submitted a private member’s bill which was in contempt of the Rulers’ Conference as prior consent was not obtained.

The Office of the UMNO Directorate of Strategic Communications/Lies would have swung into action and hordes of protestors and demonstrators would have demonstrated outside DAP offices in the country for being anti-Malay Rulers, making all sorts of demands, while on the cyberspace, the UMNO cybertroopers would be working overtime to demonise DAP leaders as having committed treason in showing disrespect and contempt for the Malay Rulers. My third lesson for Abdul Rahman Dahlan – 邪不胜正 (Evil cannot triumph over good)

Today is April 1 or April Fools’ Day. As part of April Fools pranks, some newspapers report fake stories to fool the readers.

This was what I thought when I saw the New Straits Times Page 10 headline and report: “KIT SIANG ‘PRETENDING TO BE ELECTED LEADER’” with a second headline “Only those who are blind and naïve cannot see that the DAP adviser is a dictator, says Hamzah”.

I realized that this was not a April Fools’ Day prank, however, when the other UMNO/BN owned and controlled mainstream media also carried the same story, making the top of Utusan Malayia Page 13 with the headline: “Kit Siang seorang dictator?” and the Berita Harian which devoted the whole of Page 9 to “Kit Siang pemimpin dictator: Hamzah”.

Clearly, this was deadly serious business – part of a massive propaganda psy-war against me! Read the rest of this entry »

Any passage of Hadi’s private member’s bill motion in Parliament next Thursday will make a total mockery of BN Supreme Council decision that BN government will not take over Hadi’s private member’s bill to amend Act 355

After the announcement of the Barisan Nasional Supreme Council decision on Wednesday night by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak that the federal government will not takeover PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill to amend Act 355, attention has shifted to whether Hadi will be able to move his private member’s bill motion next Thursday (last day of the present Parliamentary meeting) and whether there would be a debate and a vote, and if so, what the voting outcome would be like.

Two important outcomes of BN Supreme Council meeting – averting final funeral rites for a consensus-based BN and clear affirmation that to criticize or even oppose Hadi’s private member’s bill is not being anti-Islam

Two days ago, I asked in very blunt language whether the Barisan Nasional founded by Tun Razak in 1973 will be finally buried with the consensus-based political coalition of 13 political parties replaced by a political coalition which does not operate on consensus principle but solely on the political hegemony of UMNO.

The Barisan Nasional Supreme Council meeting last night prevented the necessity to perform the final funeral rites for a consensus-based Barisan Nasional founded by Tun Razak 44 years ago, although there are adequate examples and developments that consensus-based Barisan Nasional coalition is quite sick and in quite a terminal stage.

Such examples and developments occurred in the last two Parliamentary meetings in May and October/November last year where UMNO Ministers unilaterally gave priority to PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill motion without consultation, consent and consensus from the other 12 Barisan Nasional parties and the unilateral announcements by both the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi that the Barisan Nasional government will take over Hadi’s bill and will table Hadi’s bill in the present meeting of Parliament.

Rahman Dahlan reminds me of the Chinese saying 朽木不可雕 as he continues to score his own goal despite my earlier attempt to educate him – but he is unteachable as he is unlearnable!

Abdul Rahman Dahlan reminds me of the Chinese saying 朽木不可雕 as he continues to score his own goal despite my attempt to educate him.

For the past three days, I had tried to educate him what a BN Director of Strategic Communications should do and should not do.

For instance, I told him that he should not be sabotaging any efforts by DAP grassroots members and leaders who allegedly want a change of DAP party leadership and want me to retire from politics, as this is what he did when he publicly championed their cause – but all these allegations are of course a figment of his imagination!

Furthermore, I told Rahman that if he is right that I am such a failure in DAP, he should just quietly pray that I do not retire and continue to be active in DAP affairs to bring ruin and disaster to DAP which best serve the interests of UMNO/BN coalition.

But Rahman does not undertstand such simple logic and reasoning, which any intelligent student would be able to grasp immediately.

Why is Rahman scoring his own goal, in wanting me to retire from DAP when it should be to the UMNO/BN interests that I continue – as according to Rahman , I would be causing the DAP’s downfall as I am such a DAP failure!

In fact, he should be singing praises of me to entice me to continue to be active in DAP and banish all thought of retirement since I am such a failure in DAP and is of such great service to UMNO/BN!

Why is so Rahman so dim and blur about what is strategic for UMNO/BN, and what is not? Read the rest of this entry »

Rahman Dahlan should prove he is a patriot by asking Najib to resign as Prime Minister if Najib is not prepared to clear Malaysia of the curse, infamy and ignominy of being ridiculed world-wide as a global kleptocracy because of 1MDB money-laundering scandal

I am quite bemused by the latest antics of the Barisan Nasional Strategic Communications Director Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, although I must thank him for finally resolving the question in my mind as to what are the job specifications of a BN Strategic Communications Director – which is clearly to create and amass “strategic lies” about the Opposition and to use them to attack the Opposition parties in the BN-UMNO owned or controlled mainstream mass media and the social media.

This is the reason for the outpouring, close to an avalanche, of demonization of myself in the last three months in the UMNO/Barisan owned or controlled mass media, like the New Straits Times, Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, Star, or TV3, when for the past half a century of my political activities, I was blacked out in these media, with clear directive given in one mainstream media that my photograph was never to be used.

Now I appear almost daily, if not in New Straits Times, then in Utusan, Berita Harian, Star or TV3, even with pictures – but there were no news, facts or truth, but downright lies, falsehood and fake news.

A recent egregious example of such lies, falsehoods and fake news is the allegation that Tun Mahathir and I had a secret meeting on Dec. 3 last year where a secret deal was struck that Mukhriz Mahathir would be the Prime Minister and I be the Deputy Prime Minister, when there was never such a meeting between Mahathir and myself on Dec. 3, and we had never discussed the subjects of Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister in our discussions so far.

The latest example of such BN “strategic lies” is that I had masterminded electoral fraud in the DAP party elections in 2012, which is a new twist to a tissue of lies which had been concocted and disseminated in BN/UMNO misinformation campaign in the past few years.

Abdul Rahman wants me to retire from politics for failing to topple Barisan Nasional in previous general elections and he said that I should “feel ashamed” towards DAP party members and should make way for other capable leaders.

It is Abdul Rahman who is a man of no shame, who does not realise that he is making a fool of himself, trying to shed “crocodile tears”.
If I am such a political failure in DAP, then Abdul Rahman should be praying fervently that I will remain instead of wanting to see me retire. What hypocrisy, cant and utter bunkum from the BN Strategic Communications Director! Read the rest of this entry »

Are we in the last ten days or fortnight of the 44-year-old Barisan Nasional founded by Tun Razak in 1973 as a consensus-based political coalition if UMNO imposes hegemony by unilaterally taking over Hadi’s private member’s bill on RUU 355, whether on April 6 to 10?

Are we in the last ten days or fortnight of the 44-year-old Barisan Nasional founded by Tun Razak in 1973 as a consensus-based political coalition if UMNO imposes hegemony by unilaterally taking over PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill on RUU 355, whether on April 6 (the last day of the present Parliamentary meeting) or on April 10 (extension of present Parliament)?

Will Barisan Nasional totally change its character in the next 10 to 14 days from a political coalition where there must be the 3Cs, consultation, consensus and consent from and with everyone of the 13 Barisan Nasional component parties before a policy, measure or decision can become Barisan Nasional government policy, measure or decision into one where the Barisan Nasional is only a coalition in name but accepts UMNO hegemony, where what UMNO leaders want and desire become the law in Barisan Nasional? Lim Kit Siang and UMNO

Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman
27.3. 2017

Husnuzon, bersangkabaiklah.
(Tetapi Bab Lim Kit Siang, Husnozon tak boleh tau)
.
Lim Kit Siang kan “anti-Islam”
Lim Kit Siang “anti-Melayu”
Lim Kit Siang “anti-Raja Melayu”
.
Let’s start with the first allegation, Lim Kit Siang “Anti-islam”
Lim Kit Siang Anti Islam. Read the rest of this entry »

Pieces falling into place – there is a high-powered and well-orchestrated campaign to break Pakatan Harapan by demonizing DAP and me, hoping at least to break my spirit and force my retirement from politics

Pieces are falling into place – there is a high-powered and well-orchestrated campaign to break Pakatan Harapan by demonizing DAP and me, hoping at least to break my spirit and force my retirement from politics.

The two pieces which finally convince me of such a high-powered and well-orchestrated campaign were the latest attack from the MCA Deputy President and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Wee Ka Siong replete with lies and falsehoods and the uncharacteristic salvo from UMNO MP for Balik Pulau and Deputy Health Minister accusing me of being untrustworthy and a person not to be believed.

Before this, there were blasts from the UMNO Information chief, Annuar Musa culminating in taking hate politics to new height in Malaysia, offering RM10,000, which was upped to RM50,000 within 24 hours, for the “best” essay or social media posting that I am anti-Malay and anti-Islam and the “missing person” banners and posters which were put up in the Gelang Patah parliamentary constituency.

I have never seen such an outpouring, close to an avalanche, of demonization of myself as in the last three months in the UMNO/Barisan owned or controlled mass media, like the New Straits Times, Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, Star, or TV3, when for the past half a century of my political activities, I was blacked out in these media, with clear directive given in one mainstream media that my photograph was never to be used.

Now I appear almost daily, if not in New Straits Times, then in Utusan, Berita Harian, Star or TV3, even with pictures – but there were no news, facts or truth, but downright lies, falsehood and fake news to demonise me, describing me as a devil, an hantu, puaka or even jembalang, as if I breathe fire or eat babies for breakfast; that I am anti-Malay, anti-Islam, that I was the cause of the May 13 racial riots in 1969 (exactly 48 years ago) although I was never in Kuala Lumpur during that period and was in fact in Kota Kinabalu on that tragic day of May 13, 1969; that I am a communist; a stooge of Singapore PAP.

An example of such fake news and false information, is the weekend claim by the BN Strategic Communication Director and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Abdul Rahman Dahlan that there are DAP grassroots members and even leaders who want a change of DAP party leadership and that I should retire from politics. Rahman Dahlan must be the “mastermind” responsible for Annuar Musa’s cheapskate, low-class and moronic proposal of RM10,000, upped to RM50,000 within 24 hours, for “best” essay or social media posting on whether I am anti-Malay and anti-Islam

I have been wondering why a seasoned politician like UMNO Information Chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa could make such a cheapskate, low-class and moronic proposal of RM10,000, upped to RM50,000 within 24 hours, for the “best” essay or social media posting on whether I am anti-Malay and anti-Islam.

Now I understand. Annuar was not a free agent, but was directed to make this stupid gambit by a political “superior”.

I believe that Rahman Dahlan must be the “mastermind” responsible for Annuar’s cheapskate, low-class and moronic proposal, which exposes Annuar to nation-wide ridicule and mockery, even inside UMNO, not only for the stupid gambit, but public contempt in first making an allegation and then going around looking for evidence to substantiate the allegation.

Who else would come to Annuar’s defence for such a cheapskate, low-class and moronic proposal except for those responsible for subjecting Annuar to such public contempt and ridicule for such a proposal?

In order to “salvage” the situation, Rahman Dahlan will be thinking of other “dirty tricks” to justify his “ingenuity” in thinking of the cheapskate essay or social media posting offer. Read the rest of this entry »

Thanks to Kedah DAP leaders for suggesting that I contest in Kedah in 14GE – but wait for my response in Gelang Patah tomorrow

I want to thank the Kedah DAP Chairman and DAP State Assembyman for Derga, Sdr. Tan Kok Yew and DAP State Assemblyman for Kota Darul Aman, Sdr. Teoh Boon Bok for suggesting in the ceramahs this morning that I contest in Kedah in the 14th General Election.

In my parliamentary constituency in Gelang Patah in Johor, MCA and Gerakan have launched an attack on me by putting up “Missing Person” posters.

I said yesterday that I would address these “Missing Person” posters when I return to Gelang Patah this evening, but I want through the media this morning to announce a slight change of plan.

Although I will be back in Gelang Patah this evening, it would be quite late, I will instead hold a media conference tomorrow morning to address these “Missing Person” posters.

While I thank the Kedah DAP leaders for their offer to me to contest in Kedah in the next general election, let us wait until my media conference in Gelang Patah tomorrow. Read the rest of this entry »

I will officially write to Najib to propose that the government sponsor an essay or social media posting competition on “Is Malaysia a global kleptocracy and what we should do about it?”

The UMNO Information Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa has proved that he is a cheapskate, low-class and irresponsible politician when he offered RM10,000 for the best essay or social media posting entitled “LKS is a racist, anti-Islam and a dictator of 51 years, is it true?”.

Responsible and respectable politicians only make serious allegations against others when they have proofs and evidence, but Annuar Musa does the opposite and belongs to the dishonourable category who hurl allegations at others and then look for evidence to substantiate the allegations.

Annuar’s proposal of a RM10,000 essay contest is the strongest proof that Annuar had no evidence whatsoever when he alleged that I am “anti-Malay and anti-Islam” and he is now trying to look for evidence to substantiate his allegations.

Annuar must be condemned by all right thinking Malaysians, whether in government or in Opposition, for it is such people who bring disgrace and dishonour to politics and strengthen the popular belief that politics is dirty, when it is dirty politicians like Annuar who are prepared to go to any lengths to achieve political mileage, regardless of how irresponsible, unscrupulous or immoral the means they employ.

However, I want to thank Annuar for the idea of an essay or social media posting, which should not be misused or abused as in Annuar’s case, but should be used to promote a good national cause. Read the rest of this entry »

Has UMNO called the bluff of MCA, Gerakan and MIC and virtually challenged them to leave Barisan Nasional over UMNO’s support for Hadi’s private member’s bill?

Has UMNO called the bluff of MCA, Gerakan and MIC and virtually challenged them to leave Barisan Nasional over UMNO’s support for Hadi’s private member’s bill?

The latest report is that UMNO is calling the bluff of MCA, Gerakan and MIC and virtually challenged them to leave Barisan Nasional over UMNO’s support for PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 or Act 355, and UMNO’s stand that the Barisan Nasional government takeover Hadi’s private member’s bill.

But are MCA, Gerakan and MIC prepared to leave Barisan Nasional over UMNO’s support of Hadi’s private member’s bill and insistence that the Barisan Nasional Federal Government takeover Hadi’s private member’s bill?

The latest report about UMNO’s support for Hadi’s private member’s bill is that UMNO has agreed that Hadi’s private member’s bill would not apply as far as Sabah and Sarawak are concerned, and in the process, secured the non-opposition of the Sabah and Sarawak BN Ministers and MPs.

However, the real issue is not the merits or demerits of Hadi’s private member’s bill but the crucial and critical one as to whether Barisan Nasional has changed its character from a consensus-based coalition of 13 component parties into a political coalition operating solely under the dictates of UMNO hegemony – at least as far as the Peninsular parties like MCA, Gerakan and MIC are concerned. Cabinet tomorrow should sponsor a RM100,000 essay or social media posting contest on “Is Najib a kleptocrat?” or “Is Malaysia a global kleptocracy?”?

Today, the UMNO Information Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa offererd RM10,000 for the best essay or social media posting which can prove that I am a “racist”.

He said that the social media posting or essay should be titled “LKS is a racist, anti-Islam and a dictator of 51 years, is it true?”.

He said that the reason for the UMNO Information Office essay or social media posting competititon was “to encourage people to carry out a research into allegations of Kit Siang being a racist, anti-Islam and a dictator”.

This is disgraceful, cheapskate and gutter politics.

Responsible and respectable politicians only make serious allegations against others when they have proofs and evidence, but Annuar Musa does the opposite and belongs to the dishonourable category who hurl allegations at others and then look for evidence to substantiate the allegations. Malaysians will know by tomorrow whether Najib has changed the character of consensus-based Barisan Nasional founded by his father Tun Razak 14 years ago into a coalition operating solely under the dictates of UMNO hegemony

Tomorrow, Friday, 24th March 2017, will be an important day in the political history of Malaysia for Malaysians will know whether the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, has changed the character of consensus-based Barisan Nasional founded by his father Tun Razak 14 years ago in 1973 into a coalition operating solely under the dictates of UMNO hegemony.

Last Friday, Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi announced that the government will take over PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill in Parliament to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 or Act 355, but the MCA, Gerakan, MIC and other Sabah/Sarawak Barisan Nasional Ministers and leaders claim that they knew nothing about it and never agreed to it.

There is no need at this stage to go into the merits or demerits of the bill, although there are attempts by irresponsible, divisive and destructive quarters to brand those who criticize or even oppose Hadi’s private member’s bill as anti-Islam, forgetting that the Sarawak Chief Minister, Datuk Abang Johari Tun Openg (a Muslim) had upheld the stand of the previous Sarawak Chief Minister, Adenan Satem (another Muslim) and directed all the 25 Sarawak Barisan Nasional MPs (which included four Muslim Federal Ministers) to reject Hadi’s private member’s bill motion.

Has Najib changed the consensus character of Barisan Nasional, where everyone of the 13 Barisan Nasional component parties must give consent and agreement before a policy, measure or decision can be regarded as Barisan Nasional policy, measure or decision into one where the Barisan Nasional is only a coalition in name but accepts UMNO hegemony, where what UMNO leaders want and desire become the law in Barisan Nasional?

Has Barisan Nasional changed its character to an extent where the Deputy Transport Minister can publicly reprimand the political stand of the Transport Minister, just because the Deputy Transport Minister comes from UMNO while the Transport Minister is from MCA, although MCA President? Will Liow, Wee, Ong, Mah and Subramaniam succeed at the Cabinet meeting on Friday to get Zahid to withdraw his statement that the government will adopt and move Hadi’s private member’s bill in Parliament and clarify it is UMNO but not BN stand?

Last Friday, Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi announced that the government will take over PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill in Parliament to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 or Act 355, but the MCA, Gerakan, MIC and other Sabah/Sarawak Barisan Nasional Ministers and leaders claim that they knew nothing about it and never agreed to it.

At this stage, we need not go into the merits or demerits of such a bill, although there are attempts by irresponsible, divisive and destructive quarters to brand those who criticize or even oppose Hadi’s private member’s bill as anti-Islam, forgetting that the Sarawak Chief Minister, Datuk Abang Johari Tun Openg (a Muslim himself) had upheld the stand of the previous Sarawak Chief Minister, Adenan Satem (another Muslim) and directed all the 25 Sarawak Barisan Nasional MPs (which included four Muslim Federal Ministers) to reject Hadi’s private member’s bill motion .

Before we discuss the merits or demerits of Hadi’s private member’s bill, the first question to be dealt with is whether Barisan Nasional has changed its character from a coalition based on consensus, where everyone of the 13 Barisan Nasional component parties must give consent and agreement before a policy, measure or decision can be regarded as Barisan Nasional policy, measure or decision into one where the Barisan Nasional is only a coalition in name but accepts UMNO hegemony, where what UMNO leaders want and desire become the law in Barisan Nasional!

Conspiracy by MCA, Gerakan, MIC and other 12 BN parties to hide the “elephant in the room” – that National Front has changed its character from a 13-party coalition of equals based on consensus to a coalition based on UMNO hegemony and UMNO wishes where no consensus from the other 12 parties are needed?

Is there a political conspiracy by MCA, Gerakan, MIC and the other 12 Barisan Nasional parties to hide the “elephant in the room” – that the National Front has changed its character from a 13-party coalition of equals based on consensus to one based on UMNO hegemony and UMNO wishes where no consensus from the other 12 parties are needed?

Is this why MCA, Gerakan, MIC and other non-UMNO Ministers from Sabah/Sarawak BN parties are at a loss, for they have no idea when PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s private member’s bill motion would be given priority in Parliament to be debated and voted, although there is no consensus whether in the Cabinet or BN Supreme Council for the Barisan Nasional Federal Government to give priority to Hadi’s private member’s bill motion in Parliament or for the Federal Government to takeover Hadi’s private member’s bill after Hadi’s motion is adopted by Parliament.

I had asked MCA, Gerakan, MIC and all the other 15 non-UMNO Ministers to force an issue at the Cabinet as there is no consensus for the government to give priority to Hadi’s private member’s bill or for government takeover of Hadi’s private member’s bill, but there is so far, only thunderous silence from the Cabinet. Umno accuses Mahathir of being my stooge while MCA/Gerakan accuse me of becoming Mahathir’s puppet – can they make up their mind as to who is whose stooge and puppet?

UMNO accuses Tun Dr. Mahathir of being my stooge while MCA/Gerakan accuses me of being Mahathir’s puppet.

Can UMNO/Barisan Nasional make up their mind as to who is whose stooge and puppet?

Tun Dr. Mahathir is over 91 years ago and had been Prime Minister of Malaysia for over 22 years. Why should be he become my stooge, and how have I suddenly become so powerful as to become the “king-maker” in Malaysian politics, directing the actions and thoughts of former Prime Minister Mahathir, former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and other political leaders including Opposition Leader and PKR President Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and Amanah President, Mat Sabu?

I am 76 years old, dedicated myself to 51 years of full and active involvement in Malaysian politics because of my love for Malaysia to ensure that the country can become a model prosperous and democratic plural nation for the world. I have been twice detained under the Internal Security, hauled to court countless times on trumped-up charges, my son Lim Guan Eng had been detained under the ISA and gone to jail and lost his position as Member of Parliament to defend an underaged Malay girl. Why should I become a puppet of Mahathir?

Both Mahathir and I have strong views and opinions. Mahathir is not my stooge and I am not his puppet. We co-operate as patriotic Malaysians who feel that we have to work together to Save Malaysia from becoming a global kleptocracy and hurtling towards a failed and rogue state.

The present batch of UMNO/BN leaders just do not understand that in politics, there are roles apart from being a stooge or a puppet. Read the rest of this entry »

Why must every Minister in Najib’s Cabinet end up making dumb and asinine statement like the one by second Finance Minister Johari on Mahathir-Nazri debate on 1MDB scandal?

One question which has been bugging today is why every Minister in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s Cabinet must end up making dumb and asinine statements like the one by the second Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani on the Mahathir-Nazri debate on the 1MDB scandal.

Firstly, how can Johari claim that the Mahathir-Nazri debate on the 1MDB scandal has “nothing to do” with the government?

It is precisely because of the 1MDB scandal which has caused Malaysia to be ridiculed world-wide as a global kleptocracy, making Malaysians ashamed when abroad to declare that they are Malaysians as other questions like, who is MO1 and why the Malaysian government is doing nothing about the international 1MDB money-laundering scandal, will follow suit.

Secondly, how can Johari say that that the 1MDB scandal had been “debated extensively in Parliament” when MPs are not even allowed to ask questions about the 1MDB scandal, when almost every other day, the 1MDB scandal is continuing to make headlines in other countries almost every other day?

For the record, Parliament has never conducted any debate on the 1MDB scandal. Read the rest of this entry »

If UMNO is toppled in 14GE, Malays will not suffer – on the contrary, a new Federal Government comprising Pakatan Harapan parties including DAP, PKR and Amanah plus Pribumi Bersatu will compete with UMNO’s 60-year record to demonstrate we can better serve Malays and all Malaysians

Yesterday, I covered three states in one day – in Teluk Datuk in Selangor in the morning, Senawang in Negri Sembilan in the evening, and Johor at night.

This the fifth parliamentary constituency I am visiting today in my lightning tour of Northern Johor in my “Voters’ Registration Within Two Weeks” as the next two weeks may be the last chance for eligible but unregistered voters to register on the electoral roll if they are to be able to cast their vote if the 14th General Election is held in September this year.

I started in Segamat parliamentary constituency this morning, then visited Labis, Ledang, Bakri and am now the Muar parliamentary constituency.

Everybody is talking about the next 14th General Election.

When will it be held?

It is very near, as the Information Department has confirmed that it has issued a circular freezing applications for personal or unofficial trips overseas from May 1, because of the impending 14th general election. In fact, I will not be surprised if similar circulars are being sent out by the police and all government departments who will be involved in the 14GE.

However, I don’t think even the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak knows when Parliament will be dissolved for the holding of the 14GE, for he must be toying with various dates and possibilities.

Will it be September, or even earlier in May or July or much later than September? Read the rest of this entry »
