I said at the opening of the DAP parliamentary service centre in Gelang Patah yesterday that we are in a new phase in politics in Malaysia in post-14th General Election, as UMNO leaders and cybertroopers under former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak have abandoned all pretensions of moderation, balance and 1Malaysian attitude to sabotage the Pakatan Harapan government, hoping that the Pakatan Harapan government in Putrajaya and in the various states would not last the full term, crack and disintegrate to allow UMNO to return to power before 15GE.

Orang Aslis awaiting a by-election in Cameron Highlands to demonstrate their political awakening like the Malay, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans and Ibans in the 14GE to demand for a New Malaysia of justice, integrity, freedom and democracy
Pakatan Harapan candidate for Cameron Highlands, M. Manogaran, has filed an election petition to nullify the outcome of the election result for Cameron Highlands – alleging that eventual victor C Sivaraajh of MIC had bribed and threatened voters.
Manogaran lost Cameron Highlands by just 597 votes in the 14th General Election on May 9, 2018.
Cameron Highlands is the parliamentary constituency with the largest percentage of Orang Asli voters, constituting over 20 per cent of the electorate – even more than the number of Indian voters, although less than the Malay and Chinese voters.

Anthony Loke is the DAP Parliamentary Leader in 14th Parliament

Let me start by correcting the introduction just now. I was the DAP parliamentary leader when the DAP was in opposition in the 13th Parliament, but not the DAP Parliamentary Leader in the 14th Parliament.
By convention, the Prime Minister is the Leader of the House of Parliament, and in a governing coalition, the respective party parliamentary leaders will come from the senior party leaders.
The DAP Central Executive Committee has decided that the DAP Parliamentary Leader in the 14th Parliament will be the DAP National Organising Secretary Anthony Loke.

Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Perlis will be the DAP’s new and third “front-line states” to bring about unity, justice, freedom and democracy in Malaysia

When DAP announced Penang as the “front-line state” in the battle for unity, justice, freedom and democracy in Malaysia, it took us 20 years before we could accomplish the mission in the 2008 General Elections when DAP led and formed the Pakatan Rakyat state government in Penang.
UMNO/Barisan Nasional did their worst in the past decade resorting to the politics of race, religion, fear, hatred and lies in particular to create the impression that the so-called “Chinese DAP” Penang State Government were oppressing and persecuting the Malays and Islam in Penang.
While the UMNO/BN campaign of lies had some effect outside Penang in Malaysia, becaue of ignorance, the people of Penang in particular the Malays in Penang knew better.

DAP wants Pakatan Harapan Government to succeed not just 50 or 500 days, but for 5,000 days – which means winning the 15th and 16th General Elections

We have just passed the half-way mark of the first 100 days in office of the Pakatan Harapan Federal Government in Putrajaya.
There are teething problems in the first 50 days of the Pakatan Harapan government, whether at the federal level in Putrajaya or in the eight state governments involving Pakatan Harapan – namely Penang, Selangor, Kedah, Perak, Negri Sembilan, Malacca, Johore and Sabah – but we must always maintain a positive mindset that we want the Pakatan Harapan governments to suceed.
We not only want the Pakatan Harapan government to suceed in first 50 or 500 days but for 5,000 days – which would mean for more than two terms of five years each and the Pakatan Harapan winning the 15th and 16th General Elections!
This is a tall order as the reimagining and remaking of a New Malaysia is not meant for timorous souls but for courageous Malaysians who dare to dream big dreams for Malaysia to be a world top class nation in several fields of human endeavour by leveraging on our unique assets that come from the diversity of the races, religions, languages and cultures that constitute Malaysia. Has UMNO become an illegal political party?
How low and quick the mighty have fallen.
It was only six months ago that the 71st UMNO General Assembly was held in jubilation and hubris that UMNO was the only political party in the world that continued to rule and had never been defeated in elections since 1955, and was set to retain power not only in the imminent 14th General Election, but virtually to be the perpetual government of Malaysia!
But the nursery rhyme which my generation learnt in primary school in the fifties came to pass, viz:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.
The fall had been so decisive and categorical that no UMNO leader dare to contradict or countermand the pronouncements of a headless, faceless and soulless creature, the self-proclaimed UMNO strategic media unit.
Are current UMNO leaders so ashamed of UMNO that they have to depend on a faceless, headless and soulless UMNO Strategic Media Unit to speak for them?

Will UMNO General Assembly apologise to DAP for its six-year ordeal when UMNO leaders/operatives misused their powers to influence the Registrar of Societies to break or ban the DAP?
I am giving a serious warning to UMNO leaders, aspirants and propagandists that they will be exposed if they continue to spread lies, fake news and false information about the DAP as they have done in previous UMNO General Assemblies and during the 14th General Election which saw UMNO’s fall from grace as the invincible ruling party of Malaysia
It is none of my concern as to which one of the seven candidates win the UMNO Presidency in post-14GE, which one of the three candidates wins the UMNO Deputy Presidency and who among the nine candidates become the three UMNO Vice Presidents in the UMNO General Assembly at the end of this month.
But UMNO post-14GE will stand exposed if it continues with the previous UMNO’s divisive and toxic politics of race, religion, hate, fear and lies especially peddling lies, fake news and false information about the DAP as anti-Malay, anti-Islam and anti-Royalty.

Pakatan Harapan leaders, who made history on May 9, must ensure that history is made in Malaysia in the next five years to rebuild a New Malaysia with systemic and institutional reforms accompanied by mindset changes

I congratulate the DAP Ministers, Chief Minister, State Executive Councillors and State Ministers for they were all history makers in the political earthquake of May 9, 2018 to achieve a Malaysian Dream which generations of Malaysians had not thought possible to see come true in their lifetime.
Now the hard work has started, for the Pakatan Harapan leaders who made history on May 9 must ensure that history is made in Malaysia in the next five year to rebuild a New Malaysia with systemic and institution reforms accompanied by mindset changes. Otherwise, they will become history!
We must never lose sight that Pakatan Harapan at the Federal and State level, where we are also State Governments, must be always be a government for all Malaysians, regardless of whether they voted for Pakatan Harapan or otherwise – that we must truly serve all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion, region or politics.
We want to build a New Malaysia which is united, democratic, just and progressive.
For a thriving democracy, we must operate in a new political environment and culture where checks and balances are institutionalised in our system of governance. Read the rest of this entry »
The 33.9% of the popular vote for UMNO/BN and 16.6% of popular vote for PAS in the 14GE did not realise that their vote would be used to support or prop up a kleptocratic Malaysia
At the DAP breaking-of-fast in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, I was glad to meet for the first time after the 14th General Election some of the DAP Malay Members of Parliament and State Assembly representatives, including Member of Parliament for Raub, Tengku Zulpuri Shah bin Raja Puji; Selangor State Assemblyman for Dusun Tua, Edry Faizal Eddy Yusof and State Assemblywoman for Bandar Utama Jamaliah Jamaludin; Pahang State Assemblywoman for Ketari Young Syefura Othman (Rara) on an occasion which was attended by DAP Secretary-General and Minister for Finance, Lim Guan Eng, and the other DAP leaders like the DAP National Chairman and MP for Cheras, Tan Kok Wai, DAP Deputy Secretary-General and MP for Seputeh Teresa Kok, National Publicity Secretary and MP for Damansara Tony Pua, DAP National Political Education Bureau Chairman Liew Chin Tong, MP for Segambut Hannah Yeoh, MP for Kota Kinabalu Chan Foong Hin, MP for Ipoh Timor Ong Kah Woh, MP for Taiping Teh Kok Lim and many others.
I have yet to meet after the historic May 9 poltical earthquake the other DAP Malay State Exco/Assembly representatives, like Johore State Exco Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali (Paloh), Malacca State Exco Norhizam Hassan Baktee (Pengkalan Batu); Penang State Exco Zairil Khir Johari (Tanjong Bunga) and State Assemblywoman for Seri Delima Syerleena Abdul Rashid and Perak State Exco Dr. Abdul Aziz Bari (Tebing Tinggi).
But there is no doubt that the 14th General Election marked a major stride in the DAP’s struggle to fulfill the Malaysian Dream of all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion, region or politics, where Malaysia can purged themselves of the infamy and ignominy of being regarded worldwide as a global kleptocracy; and become a “beacon of light for a disturbed and distracted world” by being a showcase of how a nation of diverse races, religions, languages and cultures can succeed as an united, harmonious, democratic, progressive and prosperous Malaysia.

Although Pakatan Harapan has lost one seat on Nomination Day, efforts must be trebled nation-wide to reach the target of winning 119 parliamentary seats on Polling Day on May 9
Ten day ago, I said that Pakatan Harapan should set a target of winning 120 of the total of 222 parliamentary seats to earn the clear and unmistakable right to form the new Malaysian Government in Putrajaya which would show that a decisive majority of Malaysians no longer a kleptocratic and corrupt Barisan Nasional.
I said that this target is achievable especially if a Malaysian tsunami sweeps across the nation bringing together Malays, Chinese, Indians, Ibans, Kadazans and others to vote against the BN and to strongly support Pakatan Harapan to form the next federal government.
To achieve this target of winning 120 parliamentary seats, Pakatan Harapan must defend all 89 parliament seats won by the opposition in the 13th General Election in 2013 and win another 31 out of the 56 marginal BN parliament seats in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

Why is the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak playing up the spectre of the “Chinese peril” despite the community’s population having steadily declined over the years?
In 1957, Malaya’s population comprised 49.8% Malays, 37.2% Chinese, 11.1% Indians and 2% Others.
In 1970 Malaysia’s population comprised 44.32% Malays, 34.34% Chinese, 8.99% Indians, 11.89% non-Malay Bumiputeras, 0.67% others.
In 2010, the percentage of Malays in the Malaysian population increased to 55.07%, Chinese reduced to 24.34%, Indians dropped to 7.35%, non-Malay Bumiputeras maintained at 11.94% and 1.3% others. Read the rest of this entry »
Najib should set a good example of clean and honest politics instead of being the chief exponent of politics of fear, race and lies as Malays will continue to exercise political power in Malaysia whether UMNO is defeated in 14GE or not
The Prime Minister and UMNO President, Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s fall-back to the politics of race, fear and lies in Lipis yesterday is an indication of his growing desperation that UMNO will be ousted from Putrajaya by a Malay tsunami in the 14GE with the election of a new Pakatan Harapan Federal Government with Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as the seventh Prime Minister and Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the Deputy Prime Minister – with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia.
In Lipis yesterday, Najib claimed that under the Pakatan Harapan, “absolute power rests in the hands of DAP”, portraying the 14th General Election as a fight between UMNO-led Barisan Nasional and DAP-led Pakatan Harapan.
Najib knows in his heart of hearts that what he said that “absolute power rests in the hands of DAP” or that Pakatan Harapan is “DAP-led” are not true, and that Pakatan Harapan operates on the principle of genuine consensus of the four component parties unlike Barisan Nasional where, to borrow the language of Tan Sri Shahrir Samad, what UMNO wants UMNO gets and what UMNO wants UMNO takes. The view that Iskandar Puteri is a “sure win” is as mistaken as the view in 2013 that Gelang Patah was a “sure lose” contest
Seven parliamentary constituencies will be the first-line “star” constituencies in the battle of Save Malaysia to Set Malaysia Free from UMNO/BN misrule, corruption, abuses of power, injustices and exploitation.
They are Ayer Hitam, Teluk Intan, and Stampin (where Johore, Perak and Sarawak DAP State Chairman respectively, i.e. Liew Chin Tong, Nga Kor Ming and Chong Chieng Jen have left comparatively safe seats to contest in high-risk constituencies to spark a Malaysian Tsunami to oust UMNO/BN from Putrajaya for the first time in 61 years), Seremban (where DAP National Organising Secretary and Negri Sembilan State Chairman Anthony Loke has refused to relocate to safer seat but to stay put in Seremban although it has become a very risky seat as result of the gerrymandering in the constituency redelineation), Langkawai (where Tun Mahathir will contesting), Pagoh (Tan Sri Muhyiddin contesting) and Semporna (Shafie Apdal contesting).
The second-line “star” constituencies in the 14th General Election will include Iskandar Puteri, Jerlun (Mukhriz Mahathir), Kota Raja (Mat Sabu), Kota Baru (Husam Musa), Bentong, Labis and Kluang.

DAP fields first Orang Asli candidate in 52-year party history
The DAP has created a few histories with the DAP candidate line-up for parliamentary and state assembly elections for the 14th General Election on May 9, 2018.
The DAP is fielding candidates in 47 parliamentary and 105 state assembly seats totaling 152 seats, but involving 148 candidates as four DAP leaders, namely DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng, DAP Vice Chairman and Penang DAP State Chairman Chow Kon Yeow, DAP Deputy Secretary-General and Perak DAP Chairman, Nga Kor Ming and DAP National Organising Secretary and Negri Sembilan DAP State Chairman Anthony Loke, are contesting both parliamentary and state assembly seats.
For the first time in the 52-year history of DAP, an Orang Asli candidate, Nasir Dollah, will be fielded in the Galas state assembly seat in Kelantan.

I hope to see six tsunamis to effect the first change of Malaysian Government in Putrajaya in 61 years in the 14th General Election on May 9, 2018.
The six political tsunamis are:

·Women tsunami; and
·Youth tsunami.
The 13th General Election five years ago in 2013, as well as the 12GE in 2008, saw the phenomenon of the urban political tsunami in Malaysia. These were not Chinese tsunami, but the tsunami of the urban and semi-urban Malaysians, whether Chinese, Indian or Malays in urban and semi-urban Malaysia.
We must not take for granted that there will be an equal degree of urban tsunami in the 14GE on May 9, because the failures of the urban tsunamis in the 2008 and 2012 General Elections to bring about change of government have resulted in political fatigue, disappointment and even disenchantment with the electoral process. The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, yesterday cautioned the Malays and bumiputeras against triggering a Malay tsunami in the upcoming 14th General Election as this will jeopardize their rights and interests.
This is a far cry from what Najib said only ten days ago, that that he could not detect a Malay tsunami taking place in the 14GE.

Will there be a change of Federal Government in Putrajaya and a new Johore State Government in Nusajaya on May 9, 2018?
The is the enormity of the historic decision the 15 million Malaysian voters will make on May 9, 2018, whether Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad will be elected as the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia, with Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as Deputy Prime Minister, to be followed by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia.
I am glad to come to Kampong Gajah in Paloh for the first time. I understand that this is a MCA fortress.
MCA does not have many fortresses left in Malaysia or it would not have been reduced to a 7/11 political party, winning only seven MPs and 11 State Assembly representatives in the last general election.
Why did this happen? The reasons were very simple – over the decades, the MCA has failed the Malaysian Chinese and the Malaysian nation, with the country today being scorned and mocked worldwide as a global kleptocracy.
In my first visit to Kampong Gajah, I should have come with the Rocket logo – but we have instead the Pakatan Harapan common logo of the PKR blue-eye.
The DAP decision not to use the Rocket symbol is not an easy one. I had used the Rocket logo for 11 general elections and one by-election since 1968.
But we have to overcome the personal pain and agony not to use the Rocket symbol so as to use the Pakatan Harapan common logo of PKR’s blue-eyes – a supreme sacrifice and strategy, a game changer, to affirm that the time has come for all Malaysians regardless of race, religion, region or even political party, including the 3.6 million UMNO members, the one million MCA members and another million PAS members, to unite in the 14th General Election on May 9, 2018 to Save Malaysia from a failed, rogue and kleptocratic state to become an united, democratic, progressive, prosperous top-class world nation.

DAP decision not to use Rocket logo and instead to use Pakatan Harapan common logo of PKR’s blue eyes an affirmation that all Malaysians regardless of race, religion, region or political party must unite in 14GE to save Malaysia from a failed, rogue and kleptocratic state
It is a strange phenomenon indeed – the foes and critics of Rocket, and even DAP traitors, have become the greatest champions of the Rocket!
Suddenly, we have UMNO/BN leaders, propagandists and quinoa cybertroopers and their publications protesting against the decision of the DAP Central Executive Committee, backed by state and branch leaders at meetings convened in the past week, that the DAP had betrayed its political objectives and principles when deciding not to use the Rocket symbol in the 14th General Election but instead to use the Pakatan Harapan common logo, which is PKR’s blue-eyes symbol.
At one end of the spectrum, DAP is accused of having sold itself to Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, not forgetting another UMNO/BN cybertrooper allegation that I had been paid RM1 billion by Mahathir to allow PPBM to join Pakatan Harapan; while at the other end of spectrum, the DAP is being accused of using Mahathri to split the Malay votes.
MCA President, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai alleged at the launch of the MCA’s 14GE Manifesto that DAP has betrayed the Malaysian Chinese electorate, and that “When Mahathir appears, the Rocket disappears”!

This is a question which had been haunting and dividing the UMNO/BN leadership, and it is one reason why speeches and statements by UMNO/BN leaders lack credibility and authority, reduced to the level of garbage and fake news.
Last week, the UMNO propaganda apparatus tested the waters to revive a highly-funded and monstrous demonization campaign that Mahathir is only my stooge and that I would take over as Prime Minister if Pakatan Harapan wins the 14GE.
The role of firing the first salvo to revive such a dastardly demonization campaign was performed by the Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Minister, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, who advised PPBM members not to get “too excited” over the naming of Tun Mahathir as Pakatan Harapan’s Prime Minister-designate, on the ground that if Pakatan Harapan do win the 14GE, the pact’s main choice for the prime minister would be Lim Kit Siang and not Mahathir.
