Khairy should convene a national conference on Covid-19 pandemic involving public and private health sectors and health NGOs and NGIs on how to bring daily new Covid-19 cases down to double-digit numbers and daily Covid-19 deaths to single-digit numbers
Yesterday, Malaysia recorded 10,915 daily new Covid-19 cases, lowest in 76 days since July 18.
Daily Covid-19 deaths were 109 deaths including 33 Brought-in-Dead (BID) cases – lowest daily Covid-19 death count in 69 days since July 25, while the BID numbers were the lowest in 41 days since August 9. Read the rest of this entry »
Painful to track Malaysia’s poor performance in ASEAN in Covid-19 pandemic particularly in losing out to Indonesia in both daily Covid-19 caseload and daily Covid-19 deaths in the past month
It is painful to track Malaysia’s poor performance in ASEAN in Covid-19 pandemic particularly in losing out to Indonesia, a nation with eight times the population of Malaysia, in both daily Covid-19 caseload and daily Covid-19 deaths in the past month.
For the last 18 days, Malaysia had been losing out to Indonesia in both categories. Read the rest of this entry »

September 2021 is Malaysia’s deadliest month in Covid-19 pandemic with nearly 10,000 deaths – Khairy should not delay any longer and should explain Malaysia’s horrible Covid-19 death situation and what is being done to slow it down
September 2021 has proved to be Malaysia’s deadliest month in the Covid-19 pandemic with close to 10,000 deaths.
The Health Minister for a month, Khairy Jamaluddin, should not delay any longer and should explain Malaysia’s horrible Covid-19 death situation.

Can Malaysia rise up like Ireland to the top of the Bloomberg Covid Resilience Ranking (September 2021) when Ireland was in January ranked No. 39 among the 53 biggest economies
In the September 2021 Bloomberg Covid Resilience Ranking released yesterday, Ireland tops the world and the rest of the Top Ten nations are Spain, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, UAE, France, Switzerland., Canada and Norway.
Ireland was in January 2021 ranked No. 39 with the world’s worst rate of infection, with its daily new Covid-19 caseload shooting up from three-digit numbers at end of December to four-digit numbers, reaching a daily peak of 8,227 cases on January 8, 2021. Read the rest of this entry »
With daily new Covid-19 cases down to 10,959 cases, the next targets are to descend to four-digit numbers and to go lower than the 4,000 cases Malaysia was supposed to be in three months ago
The daily new Covid-19 cases was down to 10,959 cases yesterday – the lowest for two-and-a-half months since 13th July 2021.

Again Congrats to Khairy for the 13,104 Covid-19 cases yesterday, hoping it will lead to less than 10,000 daily new Covid-19 cases from October 1 and four-digit daily new Covid-19 cases by 2022 Budget Day on Oct. 29
Again congrats to Khairy Jamaluddin for the 13,104 Covid-19 cases yesterday, hoping it will lead to less than 10,000 daily new Covid-19 cases from October 1 and four-digit daily new Covid-19 cases by 2022 Budget Day on Oct. 29, 2021.
As I congratulated Khairy last Friday when Malaysia for the first time in two months fell below the 14,000 daily new Covid-19 cases last Thursday, I said the Health Minster’s “next hurdle” was to bring down daily new Covid-19 cases to below 4,000 cases as it was announced by the former Prime Minister on 15th June as one of the three thresholds for transiting from Phase One of the National Recovery Plan. Khairy’s ten challenges in the Covid-19 pandemic on Budget 2022 Day in Parliament on Oct. 29
Yesterday, Malaysia sets two new dubious records in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Firstly, we “improved” our world ranking to No. 20 among nations with the most cumulative total of Covid-19 cases with 13,899 daily new Covid-19 cases and secondly, we passed the 25,000-mark for Covid-19 deaths, as we have a cumulative total of 25,159 deaths after yesterday’s daily 228 Covid-19 deaths.

Why has Malaysia’s daily new Covid-19 cases increased from 3.5 times to 5.7 times that of Indonesia in the 26 days Khairy Jamaluddin had been the new Health Minister?
Yesterday, Malaysia recorded 14,554 new daily Covid-19 cases and 250 daily Covid-19 deaths, while Indonesia recorded 2,227 new daily Covid-19 cases and 144 Covid-19 deaths.
This is the 37th consecutive day that Malaysia had more daily new Covid-19 cases than Indonesia since August 18, 2021, and except for two days since Sept. 6, 2021, Malaysia had more Covid-19 daily deaths than Indonesia for 16 days. For the last seven days, daily Covid-19 deaths in Indonesia have been below 200 cases. Read the rest of this entry »
Congrats Khairy, for bringing down daily new Covid-19 cases to below 14,000 cases yesterday – first time since two months ago – and now to surmount the next hurdle to bring down daily new Covid-19 cases to below 4,000 cases as four months ago and supposed to be one of the three thresholds for transiting from Phase One of National Recovery Plan
Congratulations to Khairy Jamaluddin, the Health Minister, for bringing down daily new Covid-19 cases to below 14,000 cases yesterday – the first time since two months ago – and now to surmount the next hurdle to bring down daily new Covid-19 cases to below 4,000 cases as four months ago and which was supposed to be one of the three thresholds for transiting from Phase One of the National Recovery Plan announced by the former Prime Minister on 15th June 2021.

DAP will go all out to co-operate to ensure that Malaysia wins the war against Covid-19 pandemic but we will be unsparing in our criticisms when things go wrong

The primary reason for the confidence-supply-reform (CSR) memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by the Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan leaders is the worsening Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the Worldometer website, we have beaten all the major nations in the world whether China, India, Russia, Japan, United States, United Kingdom, Indonesia or Australia in the category “Deaths in the last seven days per 1 million population” and the only states worse than Malaysia are some of the mini-states and small island nations having population of less than three million people. Khairy should explain why Malaysia has got the worst Covid-19 death figures as well as the worst BID Covid-19 death figures yesterday since he was sworn in as the new Health Minister 24 days ago on August 30?
Khairy Jamaluddin should explain why Malaysia has got the worst Covid-19 death figures as well as the worst Brought-in-Dead (BID) Covid-19 death figures yesterday since he was sworn in as the new Health Minister 24 days ago on August 30?
Yesterday, Malaysia reported 487 Covid-19 deaths including 161 Brought-in-Dead (BID) Covid-19 deaths, the highest-ever registered for both categories which Khairy was sworn in the new Health Minister – bringing the total death toll from Covid-19 to 24,565 deaths, including 4,809 BID Covid-19 deaths.

Great reservations that Muhyiddin, the person responsible for the losing war against the Covid-19 pandemic and millions of Covid-19 cases and tens of thousands of Covid-19 deaths is Chairman of National Recovery Council
Posted by Kit in COVID-19, Muhyiddin Yassin on Wednesday, 22 September 2021
I have grave reservations that Muhyiddin Yassin, the person responsible for the losing war against the Covid-19 pandemic and the millions of Covid-19 cases and tens of thousands of Coivid-19 deaths is Chairman of the National Recovery Council.
Muhyiddin said yesterday that he has been given the same amount of authority as when he was Prime Minster to make decisions for the National Recovery Plan (NRP) except when it involves money. Read the rest of this entry »
Why Indonesia can reduce its daily new Covid-19 cases by over 96% in two months from 56,757 cases on 15th July to 1,932 cases yesterday, but Malaysia cannot do the same?
This is one of the many questions which the new Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin, should answer- Why Indonesia can reduce its daily new Covid-19 cases by over 96% in two months, from 56,757 cases on 15th July to 1,932 cases yesterday, Malaysia cannot do the same?
On 15th July, Malaysia’s daily new Covid-19 cases was registered as 13,215 cases. For the last two months, far from reducing the daily new Covid-19 caseload by over 96% – which means Malaysia returning to triple-digit numbers of less than 528 daily new Covid-19 cases – daily new Covid-19 cases had never gone below 14,000 cases. The 14,954 daily new cases yesterday is the first Covid-19 good news under Ismail Sabri premiership but one swallow does not make a summer
The 14,954 daily new cases yesterday is the first Covid-19 good news under the Ismail Sabri premiership since his appointment as the ninth Prime Minister exactly a month ago by the Yang d Pertuan Agong.
It is the lowest in some two months since July 26, when Malaysia recorded 14,516 daily new Covid-19 cases. Read the rest of this entry »
Queries and doubts about new Covid-19 deaths including increasing BID cases which await clarification from Khairy Jamaluddin
I have this morning received an email from a scholar tracking Covid-19 data, reinforcing doubts and queries about the recent data about Covid-19 deaths which must be clarified by the new Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin.
In fact, I would suggest that Khairy should make a Ministerial statement on the issue in Parliament tomorrow.
When will Malaysia start losing instead of overtaking other nations in cumulative total of Covid-19 cases as Malaysia will overtake three nations in Khairy Jamaluddin’s first month as Health Minister and be ranked No. 20 among nations in the world by next Friday?

DAP and PH will do their utmost to make the CSR MOU signed between Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan work although there is no guarantee that it will successfully usher Malaysia into a new political landscape

There is no guarantee that the confidence-supply-reform (CSR) memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan (PH) parties will successfully usher Malaysia into a new political landscape.
The CSR MOU has evoked a whole spectrum of reactions, from a G25 spokesman and a former Treasury secretary-general in the early nineties who said there was now hope that the country will progress towards a smooth pandemic recovery as he was more confident about the country moving ahead compared to just a few days ago and saw light at the end of the tunnel to the other extreme that saw the CSR MOU as giving a life-line to those who wanted Malaysia to continue in the trajectory towards a kleptocracy, kakistocracy and a failed state. Memorandum of Understanding on confidence-supply-reform (CSR) between Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan the most important political document in the nation’s history since the drafting of Malaysian Constitution and Rukun Negara

The memorandum of understanding on confidence-supply-reform (CSR) between the ninth Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri and Pakatan Harapan is the most important political document in the nation’s history since the drafting of the Malaysian Constitution and Rukun Negara.
One pertinent question is why such a memorandum of understanding had not been drawn up earlier in the nation’s history. Read the rest of this entry »
