Who is the biggest “shark” in the RM9 billion LCS scandal – Najib, Zahid, Hishammuddin or Mat Sabu?

(Versi BM)

Who is the biggest “shark” in the RM9 billion littoral combatant ships (LCS) scandal – Najib Razak who was Prime Minister and Finance Minister from April 2009 to May 2018, Zahid Hamidi who was Defence Minister from April 2009 to May 2013, Hishammuddin Hussein who was Defence Minister from May 2013 to May 2018, or Mohamad Sabu, Defence Minister from May 2018 to February 2020?

I had asked Najib whether he was prepared to take an oath that he had nothing to do with the RM9 billion LCS scandal, but there was no response from him. Read the rest of this entry »

UMNO has today changed its character that the first four UMNO Presidents, Onn Jaafar, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Razak Hussein and Hussein Onn will not be able to recognise or endorse

(Versi BM)

UMNO has today changed its character that the first four UMNO Presidents, Onn Jaafar, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Razak Hussein and Hussein Onn, will not be able to recognise or endorse.

None of them will countenance Malaysia becoming a kleptocracy with it infamy world-wide, let alone “kleptocracy at its worst”. Read the rest of this entry »

Zahid should explain why he has not told the full story to UMNO leaders and members the main role played by him and Najib in the RM9 billion LCS scandal?

(Versi BM)

The UMNO President, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi should explain why he has not told the full story to UMNO leaders and members the main role played by him and Najib Razak in the RM9 billion littoral combatant ships (LCS) scandal – the new 1MDB scandal of Malaysia?

I agree with the DAP National Publicity Secretary and MP for Kulai, Teo Nie Ching, that former Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Najib Razak and Zahid, as the Defence Minister at the time, cannot deny responsibility for the LCS scandal. Read the rest of this entry »

Azam Baki shaping up to be the worst head of anti-corruption agency in Malaysian history for half a century – with RM9 billion LCS scandal as his greatest failure although he had access to the Ambrin Report and the forensic audit report on the LCS scandal for over two years

(Versi BM)

Azam Baki is shaping up to be the worst head of anti-corruption agency in Malaysian history for half a century with the RM9 billion littoral combatant ships (LCS) scandal his greatest failure although he had access to the Ambrin Report and the forensic report on the LCS scandal for over two years.

Malaysians are entitled to know what Azam did to these two reports – the Special Investigation Committee on Public Governance, Procurement and Finance the LCS (JKUSTUPKK) headed by then auditor-general Ambrin Buang and the report of the forensic audit of the LCS procurement (2011-2014) carried out by Alliance IFA (M) Sdn. Bhd. at the behest of Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC) and which contained a myriad of possible corruption charges – when instances of corruption, abuse of power, breach of trust, malpractices and cheating en masse were virtually served on a silver platter to the MACC by these two reports. Is Hishamuudin ready to submit a progress report on the RM9 billion LCS scandal to Parliament on Oct. 3

(Versi BM)

I agree with the Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri Yaacob that it was not unusual to have the budget day in Parliament fixed in early October, as during the time of the fifth Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the budget day in Parliament was always in in September.

Ismail is right as the budget day in Parliament during Abdullah’s premiership were all in September, viz: Read the rest of this entry »

Azam Baki should resign as MACC Chief Commissioner if he is unable to explain why the MACC had not acted against anyone in the RM9 billion LSC scandal although MACC was in possession of over two years the forensic audit report on the LCS scandal which contained a myriad of possible corruption charges

(Versi BM)

Azam Baki should resign as MACC Chief Commissioner if he is unable to explain why the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) had not acted against anyone in the RM9 billion littoral combat ships (LSC) scandal although MACC was in possession of over two years the forensic audit report on the LCS scandal which contained a myriad of possible corruption charges.

Azam Baki cannot deny that the MACC had been in possession for over two years the forensic audit report into the LCS scandal carried out by Alliance IFA (M) Sdn. Boustead LCS forensic audit report raises the question why MACC had not acted against anyone for RM9 billion LCS scandal although it was provided with all the evidence in the past two years

(Versi BM)

The Boustead littoral combat ships (LCS) forensic audit report is indeed a horror story of abuse of power, breach of trust, deception, mismanagement and sheer corruption of billions of ringgit of defence procurements, justifying Malaysia’s low “D” category of the high-risk of corruption of countries in Transparency International’s Government Defence Integrity (GDI) Index as well as the plunging score and rank for Malaysia in TI’s annual Corruption Perception Index.

It raises directly questions about the abysmal failure of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to fight corruption Malaysia.

Disappointed that Cabinet had not set up a RCI into RM9 billion LSC scandal yesterday but calls on Ismail Sabri to declassify the report of Council of Eminent Persons and to convene a Special Parliamentary Session on Corruption

(Versi BM)

Malaysians are disappointed that the Cabinet has not set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the RM9 billion littoral combat ships (LCS) scandal yesterday.

Former Prime Minister and Bersatu President, Muhyiddin Yassin, said the fight against corruption doesn’t end with former Prime Minister Najib Razak being sent to jail, but it is regrettable that the nine Bersatu Ministers in the Cabinet were not prepared to live up to the Bersatu President’s words by pressing for the establishment of a RCI into the LCS scandal. After three horror stories in its 88-year history, RMN deserves a 65th National Day relief with the establishment of a RCI into the RM9 billion LCS scandal

(Versi BM)

I congratulate the Defence Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, for going through with the declassification of two documents on the RM9 billion littoral combatant ship (LCS) scandal – the report of the Special Committee on the Procurement, Governance and Finance (JKSTUPKK) and the report from a forensic audit on the LCS project 2010- 2014 carried out by Alliance IFA (M) Sdn. Bhd., although there were redactions in these two reports which were not only unnecessary but clearly against the principles of accountability and transparency.

The JKSTUPKK report, the forensic audit report 2010-2014 in the LSC scandal and the earlier Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on the LCS scandal were three horror stories for the RMN – the most serious blow the RMN had suffered in its 88-year history. Read the rest of this entry »

Is Najib prepared to take an oath that he has nothing to do with the RM9 billion littoral combatant ship (LCS) scandal?

(Versi BM)

Former Prime Minister Najib Razak has lapsed into silence on the RM9 billion littoral combatant ship (LCS) scandal after he realised that he had made a strategic mistake by being in the forefront in the first week the Public Accounts Committee report on the LCS scandal was tabled in Parliament on August 4, 2022.

He was even more outspoken than the current Defence Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein and the Defence Minister when the disastrous RM9 billion LCS procurement was decided upon in 2011 – Ahmad Zahid Hamidi the current UMNO President. Read the rest of this entry »

Why is UMNO now hostile to the PAC report on RM9 billion LCS scandal when earlier the Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein had promised to act based on the PAC’s recommendations on the LCS scandal?

(Versi BM)

The Malaysian public are now very confused: why is UMNO now hostile to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on the RM9 billion littoral combatant ship (LCS) scandal when earlier that Defence Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, had promised to act based on the PAC’s recommendations on the LSE scandal?

The latest development of the LCS scandal saw the current and former PAC chairmen trading barbs, with Johore UMNO deputy chief and former PAC Chairman Nur Jazlan Mohamd accusing his successor Wong Kah Woh of abusing his position to benefit Pakatan Harapan with Wong responding that the PAC was a bipartisan body and all of its reports were produced based on consensus. Why are UMNO and BN leaders completely unconcerned about the RM9 billion LCS scandal, which turned a “dream project” into a national nightmare?

(Versi BM)

UMNO has urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AG) to respond to a document purported to be the leaked MACC investigation paper on the judge who had convicted former Prime Minister Najib Razak.

According to the UMNO Secretary-General Ahmad Maslan, the document had been circulating online and is an offence under Section 220 of the Penal Code.

Hishammuddin should explain why the Defence Ministry has reduced from two LCS to one LCS which must be completed and delivered with no additional government funds

(Versi BM)

Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said yesterday that ongoing construction of the first littoral combatant ship (LCS 1) will not involve new allocations from the government.

Hishammuddin said additional allocations for Boustead Naval Shipyard (BNS) to complete the remaining five LCS will only be considered after completion of LCS 1 in reportedly another two years, despite an initial targeted date in 2019. Read the rest of this entry »

Hishammuddin should resign as Minister of Defence if he cannot convince the Cabinet to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the RM9 billion Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) scandal

(Versi BM)

I congratulate the Defence Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, for his undertaking in the Dewan Negara yesterday during the debate on Senator Lim Hui Ying’s motion of urgent, definite public importance on the RM9 billion littoral combat ship (LCS) scandal to propose the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the LCS scandal at the next meeting of the Cabinet, which is in a few hours ttime.

Hishammuddin should resign as Minister of Defence if he cannot convince the Cabinet to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the RM9 billion LCS scandal, as it would show that his views and proposals as Defence Minister on defence matters are utterly irrelevant and not taken seriously by other Ministers in the Cabinet. Open Letter to the Minister of Defence, Hishammuddin Hussein on Ten Reasons why there is an urgent need for a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the RM9 billion Littoral Combatant Ship (LCS) scandal

(Versi BM)

I am writing this Open Letter to the Defence Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, on ten reasons why it is necessary to have a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the RM9 billion littoral combatant ship (LCS) scandal and why he should present the RCI proposal to the Cabinet tomorrow, although views had been expressed that an RCI is not needed now but only action by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

The ten reasons are:

(1) Although the all-party Public Accounts Committee (PAC) had done a great job in opening up on the subject of the RM9 billion LCS scandal, not all the facts of the scandal had been unearthed. For instance, the origin of the RM9 billion procurement, its development and the rationale for the various important decisions taken in the scandal resulting in the massive scale and prolongation of the scandal are not known. Najib’s most extraordinary statement in not denying that he was the “hidden hand” behind the RM9 billion LCS scandal but asking for proof that he was the “hidden hand”

Former Prime Minister Najib Razak has made a most extraordinary statement – not denying that he was the “hidden hand” behind the RM9 billion littoral combatant ship (LCS) scandal but asking for proof that he was the “hidden hand”.

Najib said those blaming him for the failed procurement of the six LCS should show proof he interfered with the ships’ design or took money from the project.
