The Health Director-General, Noor Hashim Abdullah has been proven right with his prognostication this morning that Covid-19 cases will climb in the coming weeks.
This has been confirmed by the Covid-19 figures announced later in the day which reported 6,276 new Covid-19 cases today, which gives a rolling daily average of 5,852 new Covid-19 cases for the past seven days – a long distance from the threshold of less than 4,000 cases for the transition from Phase One to Phase two of the National Recovery Plan, which was supposed to start on July 1. The Cabinet must find a formula to end the spiral of Covid-19 deaths and suicides or we are going to see fatalities from Covid-19 pandemic exceed 10,000 deaths and a record-year for suicides.
Malaysia will exceed 10,000 Covid-19 deaths soon if the present rate of Covid-19 fatalities – where 2,302 people died of Covid-19 in the 29 days of June – is not stopped.

#kerajaangagal147 – Takiyuddin is wrong both in law and in fact in saying that Parliament can only convene after Emergency has ended as Parliament had met under multiple emergencies for over four decades

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Parliament), Takiyuddin Hassan, is wrong both in law and in fact in saying that Parliament can only convene after Emergency has ended as the Malaysian Parliament had met under multiple emergencies for over four decades.
It was only on 24th November 2011 that Parliament revoked the multiple proclamations of emergency and Malaysia became a more normal country. Read the rest of this entry »
