Although the idea of a national unity government is attractive and should be considered by all rational Malaysians, one thing is clear: No national unity government can be established on treachery, deceit, corruption, betrayal of the people’s mandate or by promoting national disunity.
It is foolish and short-sighted to purportedly establish a national unity government by destroying the Pakatan Harapan Government.
The ideal way to establish a national unity government is to build on the Pakatan Harapan coalition and convince other political parties and entities to come together in the larger interest of the nation to build a New Malaysia – based on the Pakatan Harapan mandate in the 14th General Election for a New Malaysia.
Or to use the words of the Chairman of Pakatan Harapan in the foreword to Buku Harapan dated 8th March 2018, policies and actions “to rebuild the nation and to fulfil the hope of the people”.
Two days ago, I had asked:
“Are Malaysians now suddenly to believe, for instance, that the 42 Barisan Nasional MPs (39 UMNO, 2 MCA and 1 MIC) and 18 PAS MPs now support Pakatan Harapan 14GE Manifesto and the arrest and trial of Najib and former top BN leaders – and if so, will they make such a declaration?”
The silence and failure to provide answer to this question is an eloquent statement by itself.
Nobody rejects the idea of a national unity government. The first task is to restore the Pakatan Harapan Government.
This is the immediate challenge for Malaysia.

Actually, I put it to Mahathir that PH govt IS Unity govt. PH want to unify all races, religion, rich and poor based on merit and needs. It’s UMNO-PAS that retain colonial idea of divide and rule, hegemony, Ketuanan, being special, legal discrimination.
PH is just right, they have lost all legitimacy.

Well, well, well.
From the looks of things, Old Horse could have lost his marbles which is not uncommon with someone his age.
I suggest that any future PMs should have his mental faculties checked on an annual basis once over a certain age because we don’t want a PM in the throes of senility.

Mahathir refused to attend PH Presidential Council, PPBM join with UMNO in Johor but Mahathir who resigned because he will not join with UMNO is now back as PPBM chairman? The unity govt is, as predicted by PH, nonsense. Mahathir is with UMNO or PH or he is out completely of everything. Which is it? PH is unity govt, anything else is old corrupt UMNO even if Mahathir quits everything

Judging from the non stop political meetings held in hotels, they are the ones doing a roaring trade!
Nobody would have imagined that they would get a windfall!

LKS, stupid fools including LGE. You all thought you had the numbers and should have played your cards close. Why announce AI as your PM candidate, and why LGE and Khalid couldn’t cork their mouths.
PAS promised the eastern states full autonomy and MA63 for their support in dewan. Do yourselves a good turn, work similarly with Warisan and GPS on full autonomy and MA63 to get them on your side. Sabah and Sarawak are leary of GE15, so persuade them , Do you think they will throw in their lot with PAS/UMNO who will bring extremism into their states if they can get same advantages from Pakatan? Grow up. Your aim: UMNO and PAS must not form the next govt.

Malaysians gave their mandate to the PH government with Anwar as the PM in GE14.
This mandate must be treated as sacrosanct.

Firstly, I need to mention that AI when has been asked by reporters commented now Tun isn’t in and he will resume himself as agreed the PH President as well as support from existing PH’s fellows MP to be the ideal future PM to Agong. I think it should be that way as before Tun the interim PM or rather PM of PH Govt formed know well AI is the successor. The promise is the promise and has to fulfilled.
Also, worth to note w/o DAP and PKR and the hardworks of them those MP from PH coalition where else can turn back to today after PRU14 only with Tun Mahathir alone? He has not been fair but owing everyone who had the hearts include people to reform the past to have a better Malaysia.
And then we have beginning or even before PRU14 the laughing teasing also the racism of egoistic of previous political parties on Tun and others. Forgetful many moved to street even with the particiapation of Tun & co. to reform then.
Todate, LKS is right as well as AI to hold on with principle of few in PH Baru after Tun has resigned. Next, whatever Tun or Bersatu want to be even to bring back UMNO or PAS could just last for next 3 years suppose. Even PH with AI can’t form next ruling cabinet not really a bit deal. They can still remain or continue to be good opposition like before and all rakyat will judge for their return in PRU15.
Rakyat getting wiser and know from the past which is which and why or who had spoilt the democracy of the Nation to bring back those nasty bad governing politicians again. Times are not the factors for able and responsible few like AI & LKS also those former few new ministers who had proved themselves. Tun better you remember their contribution! You better confess that no man can do a better things with himself for a better country. Also, it seems you have not learnt from a failure lesson before PRU14.
Kit Siang is right you have your times before now is not suitable to be PM again. Keep your promise to hand down to a very responsible next successor will you?
Rakyat is watching and waiting for next PRU15 if you fail this time. I am sad but feel sorry for these too!

What it really is, the bet is PH, without Mahathir and Bersatu will not be able to hold on Federal power. BUT UMNO is no longer what it was, the corruption and lying exposed has changed what the party is to Malays. No one noticed Bossku is no longer spoken of.
Its now unavoidable the issue of Malaysia identity politics, Malays have to make a pivotal choice of moving forward or hold on to a debilitating old fantasy order.

I mean it’s interesting that overwhelmingly Malaysian want Anwar to be next PM but many of their elected rep do not. So going into the snap election, it will be Anwar Vs the parties. Hope he has the energy and a good plan for it as they all come after him..
