Release the 30 PSM members, DAP demands

KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 — The DAP has demanded for the immediate release of the 30 Parti Sosialis Malaya (PSM) members, including Sungai Siput MP Michael Jayakumar, who were arrested in Penang, and has dispelled claims that they were trying to revive communism.

“I call on the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to ensure that good sense prevails in his government despite facing the mortal challenge of a peaceful Bersih 2.0 rally on July 9 calling for free, fair and clean elections — as such a proposed peaceful rally cannot, under any stretch of the imagination, be equated to a ‘war against the King’,” said the DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang at the DAP Ubah Dialogue organised by the DAP Socialist Youth of Johor (Dapsy) at Hotel Li Gardens in Masai, Johor Baru, tonight.

The police said yesterday they were probing an alleged attempt by some Bersih activists to revive communism, and are investigating 30 PSM members for “waging war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.”

Deputy Penang police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Jaafar was quoted by Astro Awani as saying that remand orders would be exercised to detain the 30 activists under Section 122 of the Penal Code.

Section 122 of the Penal Code states: “Whoever collects or attempts to collect men, arms or ammunition, or otherwise prepares to wage war with the intention of either waging or being prepared to wage war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong or any of the Rulers or the Yang di-Pertua Negeri or abets the waging or the preparation of such war, shall be punished with imprisonment for life or imprisonment for a term not exceeding twenty years, and shall also be liable to fine.”

“In fighting for his political survival, the Najib government and ministers should not undermine public confidence in the independence, impartiality, integrity and professionalism of the key national institutions that these pillars of the national system of governance destroys all public and international confidence in them, resulting in loss of foreign investment and a precipitate economic decline,” Lim said.

The first rally in 2007 saw up to 50,000 people take to the capital’s streets before they were dispersed by police with tear gas and water cannons.

Malay rights group Perkasa has threatened a counter rally if Bersih continues with its plans while Umno Youth said it would hold a rally in support of the Election Commission, which is the subject of Bersih’s demands.

PAS has asked for one million members to take to the streets on July 9 to support Bersih, which has also organised rallies in several cities around the world.

“The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the prime minister and the government-of-the-day can count on my loyalty and patriotism and that of the DAP in any treasonous war against the king, but we will not lend ourselves to any fictitious claims to justify gross abuse of power and blatant human rights violations against patriotic Malaysians to prevent them from a peaceful and democratic exercise of free speech and free assembly.

“I read with consternation The Malaysian Insider report and I believe this is also the shocked outrage of Malaysians — with the question bulking large as to how the country has swiftly descended into such a macabre farce,” the Ipoh Timor MP said.

It is understood that the 30 activists were detained at the Sungai Dua toll plaza near Kepala Batas in Penang while on their way to a gathering in support of the Bersih rally planned for July 9.

The government has said it will not issue permits for Bersih’s planned rally on July 9, which calls for free and fair elections.

Fact sheet on GE 2004 and GE 2008 Malaysia
General Election 13 can be meaningless and totally wasteful towards bankruptcy.
We have illegal Governments as general elections 2004 and 2008 had been rigged by Election Commission
as proven by data of discrepancies of ballot papers issued for the Parliament seats and the respective state seats. (see below & over)
We can only hold General Elections after a Royal Commission of Inquiry on Election Commission.
Other Royal Commission of Inquiry needed :- 1. Status checks on past and present prime ministers, chief ministers, governors, and menteri besar for their birth certificates and places of birth. 2. Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission. 3. Malaysia Agreement and Malaysia Formation 4. Petroleum Development Act 1974 Act 144 and Petronas 5. Project IC or Project M for Sabah and Malaysia. 6. Double Six tragedy on 6 June, 1976. 7. Bank Negara. As it is unlikely to have these RCIs in the present illegal Governments, an Interim Good Governance Government IGGG is desirable with Joshua YC Kong as the Prime Minister.
IMPORTANT: Be anti ILLEGAL Governments and I am NOT anti Governments.
ILLEGAL governments of the illegal people, by illegal people and for illegal people. We are towards bankruptcy and nihilism because of illegal governments in illegal activities and profligacy – very bad for the economy and business development.
Summary of Seats discrepancies on Ballot Paper Issued details see over)
GE 2004 ( Discrepancies No. of Parliament seats Above 500 – 15; >200 and 200 and < 500 17 (NB: any discrepancies must be verified)
In conclusion, why waste trillions Ringgit (yes Trillions lost) for each General Election to be cheated by the Election Commission in the guise of democracy when the illegal, corrupted and desperate leaders don't believe in democracy. Don't believe the thieves can work for you morally. I have written a lot more (google my name) but a change of the illegal governments would be preferred.

Police action is expected. The question is what are Bersih 2.0 and its supporters going to do next in spite of it.

Why only DAP and yourself protesting and demanding and not a squeak (so far) from Anwar/PKR or PAS in relation to the crackdown? The ones detained – Khairul Anuar Ahmad Zainuddin (earlier) is a PKR Youth deputy chief and Dr Michael Jayakumar a PKR Sungai Siput MP, isn’t it?

They gave some thoughts to the arrest charging them with waging war against the rulers, clearly so they can remand them for 14 days instead of the max 10 days under sedition. Could this be what they mean by ‘strategies to thwart’ july 9..

If this is what they have, then its going to be a mess come July 9 – for UMNO/BN..Ibrahim Ali was first blood, now that the hillbillies have given a glimpse of what their arsenal look like, Bersih can put their weapons in place strategically.

Were the 30 Parti Sosialis Malaya (PSM) members, including Sungai Siput MP Michael Jayakumar, who were arrested in Penang shouting “Long Live Chairman Mao”? Or carrying portraits of Chin Peng? Or singing “The East is Red”?

None of the above k1980. The detainees had their chests and foreheads crossed out by the police. The home min was then in the midst of cummmming. He was attending an intense course by OWC, under the personal direction of dr rod, when he was told of the crosses by subordinates in his ministry.

Of course it was quite clear to all that those of his subordinates who were ever keen to prove their worth immediately issued the detention order. The trouble was discovering the basis for the detention. An approximate one must therefore be found. A basis that is somehow approximate to “cum” “cummi” “cummmin”, or something similar.

Not being able to make sense of that expression one of them rather helpfully recalled two other words (sounds?) expressed by keris’s partner at the time. “Manis” “manis”. So yes “cummanis” it is or “communist” in english.

The Police calling these PSM activists communists?…hahaha, what a bloody joke!
The communists were reputated for their bravery and patriotism. They almost fought on their own against the Japanese invading forces.
Where were the Royal Police and the sef-claimed bumis, UMNO melayu…bloody hell!…hiding in their stinking sarongs.
Without the MCP, UMNO melayu will be having Japanese names and behaving like them…(obviously, not intellectually)
Thank you Chin Peng, you made us proud for your fighting spirit and saving the nation…although, never appreciated by “Bumi pretenders”.

Remand orders would be applied to detain the 30 activists under section 122 of the Penal Code. The law was used to prosecute militant terrorist group Al Ma’unah which was involved in an audacious arms heist at an army camp and a tense stand-off in the jungles of Perak in 2000.
    .
    .

But…but…but those 30 activists were not going to steal any weapons from any army camp. The only weapons they have are the water pistols concealed in their underpants, and any male in the world also possesses such a terrifying weapon, unless he happens to be a transvestite like Abraham Ali.
