The most important of Najib’s seven KPIs, 1Malaysia, a dismal failure in the larger laboratory of Malaysia in past seven months

Tomorrow, the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s seven-month-old Cabinet will gather for a third round to finalise programmes under the Key Performance Index (KPI) and National Key Results Areas (NKRAs) which are to be made public on Thursday and Friday.

In the past two months, seven laboratories had been set up to test out ideas and strategies in the six priority areas outlined in the NKRA – reducing crime, fighting corruption, widening access to affordable and quality education, raising the living standard of the poor, improving infrastructure in the rural areas and public transportation with the seventh the 1Malaysia lab focussed on ways to foster unity among the various races.

It is most tragic and the irony of ironies that in the seven months that Najib was proclaiming the 1Malaysia slogan and concept, national unity was the constant target of a most systematic and unscrupulous attacks, with one extremist, provocative and seditious statement and action followed by another, seriously aggravating racial and religious polarisation in plural Malaysia.

Such examples are aplenty, from the religiously insensitive cow-head protest in Shah Alam to the outpouring of statements of falsehood, hate and incitement given prominence in certain mainstream media.

The divisive, racist and seditious Biro Tata Negara (BTN) indoctrination course is among the latest controversies being used to whip up racial ill-will and animosity.

Former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has come out in defence of his predecessor Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, declaring that the BTN “is certainly not racist”.

I can accept that the BTN course was not “racist” in conception, but there can be no denial that over the years it had become a divisive, racist and seditious indoctrination programme serving as an Umno “civics course” instead of being a national civics course to promote Malaysian consciousness and foster national unity. Such testimony is overwhelming and they could be easily collated with the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry.

What confidence can Najib inspire among Malaysians regardless of race and religion in his “inclusive” 1Malaysia slogan and concept when a whole generation of civil servants are products of such divisive, racist and seditious BTN indoctrination and the Cabinet is not even prepared to admit and apologise for the BTN’s history of divisive, racist and seditious indoctrination programmes?

It is no exaggeration to say that the most important of Najib’s seven KPIs, 1Malaysia, has been a dismal failure in the larger laboratory of Malaysia in the past seven months.

How can Najib convince Malaysians that his KPI programme is not just hot air and propaganda, “full of sound and fury signifying nothing”?

Frankly, I can’t see how we can get out of this mess without the intervention of some benevolent dictator who can put all the extremists from both sides of the divide behind bars. The Malay ultras are being led by Moo-hee-din and Utusan, and they are hell-bent on imposing Ketuanan Melayu on all of us. With the pandora’s box having been opened by Sleepy Head, the non-Malays are not taking this lying down, and are getting more vociferous in their condemnation of the Malay ultras. Could this all end in tears for everyone ?

Fcuk the KPI ! , The new generation of malaysian won’t buy any of the BN propaganda act. So what is the big deal after all, is only figure are shown. Ask Gani, Musa and Kasim, are they clean ?

Read ‘ Malay Dilemma ‘, then you will tell how racist TDM is. BTN course is to marginalise other race. So many Chinese jump aeroplane for what?

And the latest slap to Najib “1 Malaysia” is that the judiciary has become the interpreter of the ketuanan Melayu mantra. Instead of dispensing justice, the courts has conveniently turned to the technicality of the supremacy of ketuanan Melayu to deny justice based on facts. While the judge has been pontificating about the use of Bahasa Melayu, the irony is that he has been using the English language to arrive at his twisted logic.

Justice does not depend on technicality of whether it must be in ketuanan Melayu perspective or otherwise. The job of the judge is to dispense justice and not to wiggle himself around questionable technicality to throw out a case.

About the malay language for court documents judgment made by the court of appeal. Its a joke. Thousands and thousands of judgments were written in english. Those judgments must be invalid. Anwar therefore is not guilty of sodomy 1 charge because paul augustine’s judgment at first instance being written in english is invalid!

    Wow.

Najib is playing two political game cards to garner support from both non-Malays and Malays. The 1Malaysia card is to appease the non-Malays whereas the BTN card is to proclaim Malay supremacy among the Malays. In the end Najib will be the winner but the country will be the loser!

  9. #9 by frankyapp on Saturday, 12 December 2009 - 7:26 pm

No, najib won’t be the winner. In between the crossed firing,he would be shot death. The country may suffer some degree of damage but the country would recover no matter what.

yhsiew, I think in the end jib will be torned in two. Still that would be a whole load better than in pieces like poor altan and her unborned child.

I suppose jib must dislike the idea of bodily disintegration. I mean who does. It would do him a lot of good if the possibility of anatomical dismemberment is stressed upon him. Then at least, one hopes, he would be pressed to elect between junking btn and making a nonsense of his 1malaysia.

There is still no guarantee that the election once made would secure his position. The point is either way, he would fall. And the difference is he would fall in one piece.

… he would fall in one piece and in one place.

    1malaysia?
When Perak is divided into two?
When the rakyat are divided into tuans and pendatangs?
When his NEP favours one group over others?
When his BTN seeks to polarize further the races?

He is just talking kok. He might as well claim that he is greater than Alexander the Great

  13. #13 by taiking on Saturday, 12 December 2009 - 7:56 pm

    1malaysia?

Ask cintanegara, kassim and gang wot it means.

They are quite clear about it.

The rest of us are as hazy as can be.

Can’t wait for the release of the kpi reports. It would not be too difficult to guess, though, judging from the performance of those clowns thus far. Are they too busy selecting the appropriate costumes right now? LOL…..

Do d KPIs include ‘thou shalt speak d truth‘?
Aiyah, we just want 2 hear d truth fr NR n his brother Mohamed Nazim Razak
R both of them going or not going 2 sue Bala over what he confessed on YouTube
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXX0l1V_Ms4
Might as well include Deepak Jaikishan n Dinesh, got sue or not?

  17. #17 by frankyapp on Sunday, 13 December 2009 - 2:45 am

When one is innocent,he/she naturally jumps up immediately to deny it,warns the accuser to retract, failing which a sue for damages is next. It’s indeed unnatural for powerful and rich people like NR,MNR ,deepak and dinesh just to remain silence dispite the accusation was so serious.Their continueous silence would make more people to believe they are indeed guilty as accused.Like I said especially NR death silence has not only jeopardised his function as malaysia PM but it aslo jeopardised the country relationship with the rest of the world. I hope NR is man enough to face his crime along with his brother and friends and not drag the whole country down the drain with him.

  18. #18 by katdog on Sunday, 13 December 2009 - 3:13 am

NR knows he needs to split the non-Malay votes to give him a comfortable victory. He doesn’t need a strong majority. BN can win the federal elections with just a little over 50% of votes due to gerrymandering.

Now it remains to be seen whether the Indians and Chinese will be taken for a ride again as they have been for the past 25 years by UMNO-BN

Najib desperately need to give some good news to Malaysians.
Being so unreliable….his words is not worth one sen.
There are things that he needs to improve…to also protect UMNO’s wealthy children and families..and that is crime must be reduced.
If robbers and thieves rob and steal..only anti UMNO voters..the higher the crime it is……the better it is..for UMNO…hahahahahahahaha
I am just waiting for 13th GE…to show UMNO…the People’s Power to UMNO.
We have been bullied …treated like animals..far far too long.
