DAP condemns arson attack on MACC vehicle and advises Nazri against making baseless insinuations of DAP involvement

DAP condemns the arson attack on a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) vehicle today.

As reported by Malaysiakini, four Molotov cocktails were thrown at the Klang MACC office at around midnight, destroying a four-wheel drive vehicle belonging to Selangor MACC.

MACC officers only realized the damage to the vehicle, a Nissan X-Trail, when they reported to work this morning.

There must be a full and thorough investigation to bring to book the culprits from whatever quarter responsible for the arson as no rational Malaysian regardless of race, religion or political affiliation wants to see any degeneration of Malaysia into growing lawlessness.

I must advise the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz against making baseless insinuations of DAP involvement, as is evident from the following Malaysiakini report:

Attending a press conference in Putrajaya later, Nazri did not rule out “underworld connection” to the arson attack.

He said that it was well known that the Selangor MACC was investigating claims that some state exco members had links with the underworld, as alleged by Wangsa Maju PKR MP Wee Choo Keong.

“If there was no investigation on the underworld links, this would never have happened. This goes to show what Wee had suggested exists,” said Nazri.

“Such attacks are usually done by cowards…and samseng (gangsters) only,” he added.

I agree with Nazri in condemnation of the arson attacks as the work of “cowards and gangsters” but he should not set the bad example of going overboard to make wild insinuations as to the perpetrators or it would encourage Malaysians to do likewise, bringing back memories of the Reichstag (German Parliament) fire in 1933 which had been blamed on the Gestapo as it was the event which precipitated the Nazi takeover of Germany.

Nazri’s further statement that MACC officers should not hesitate to use their weapons if the need arose cannot but be alarming – in the wake of recent controversies concerning the proper conduct and behaviour of MACC officers resulting in the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock at MACC headquarters.

In regarding the Pakatan Rakyat as the “enemy” and the Barisan Nasional as their “ally”, the MACC has fully veered from and betrayed its statutory objectives as

(i) its sole enemy should be corruption, whether Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat; and

(ii) the greater the corruption the bigger the enemy to MACC, and not as publicly stated by the MACC Chief Commissioner, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan, that MACC makes no difference between corruption of tens of ringgit from those of hundreds of millions of ringgit!

MACC should step out of the Barisan Nasional’s masterplan to destroy the Pakatan Rakyat, particularly to topple the Pakatan Rakyat Selangor state government, as its one and only objective is to declare war against corruption and not to be catspaw of Umno/Barisan Nasional to declare war against Pakatan Rakyat.

Nazri has again shown that his mouth is bigger than his brain!

I mean, who doesn’t know that Nazri is indulging in a bit of ‘political prostitution’ here to serve his ego and ‘political constituents’, whoever that may be.

Perhaps, Nazri should just stuff an unwanted pair of old shoe in his own mouth to stop himself from committing such faux pas time and again. And tape it with a good measure of …what’s that again….ductape?

Remeber people the lies of May 13, 1969.. Who the hell want to attack MACC now they are backed against the wall?

BTW, Muhiyiddin just shot himself in the mouth accusing Lee Kuan Yew of threatening to go to war if don’t get water…

Its all the same idea to make an enemy as an excuse.. Freaking lame…

Maybe its PKFZ contractors or sub contractors who are unhappy? Maybe its actually, TBH’s unborn child whose spirit actually did it? Perhaps its those from government who were charged by MACC and were acquitted? Maybe its MACC trying to buy new cars? Hahahahaahahaaa …

Eh Wee is now a hero is it?

Also LKS should refrain from saying there are insinuations that DAP is involved. LKS is getting too cranky. The remark was because of investigations related to under world allegations this has happened. It does not say its because of investigations against DAP members. Let’s learn to be fair Mr LKS.

Another allegation for you to deal with – taken from Bernama news.

“He added that the attack was the first of its kind at the office and believed the was incident linked to the high profile case in recent weeks after a witness, DAP’s political aide Teoh Beng Hock, was found dead after being summoned to give a statement at the state headquarters in Shah Alam.”

Is Nazri trying to issue an administrative order to the MACC from his Ministry of Prime Minister’s Department in charge of the MACC? Did Nazri understand what he was talking about? His words were not much different from giving approval or giving order to the MACC for extra-judicial killing!!!

    Two points:
1 IF we can come up with all kinds of theories on how TBH died, may be this Molotov was self inflicted – to create sympathy, diversion and also to look for someone to blame.

2 DAP must make sure that people like Wee Choo Keong will never get to stand as a PR candidate again. If DAP can’t get this done, it is better for the party to leave PR. I mean it. Scumbags must be put into the trash can forever.

fine, Naz, blame all you want.

to be fair, a lot of Joe Public already form their opinion on who is guilty in Teoh Beng Hock’s case.

on both counts, the guilty verdict was arrived at without a satisfactory proof of guilt. Both rely on persuasive but not conclusive evidence.

the only difference is, one verdict is more popular and believable than the other one.

Did any of you make any noise when mere parang wielding robbers are gunned down? Or when someone runs a road block and is shot?

In Malaysia’s history many private citizens have used their firearm against robbers when there was no need. No one cared and no charges were pressed.

Nazri is a low class minister…..with a big mouth and a monkey brain.
He knows LKS will deny…and he has to prove it.
What happen? All talks…with no proofs.
    Who do we believe?
Concerning MACC….no need DAP to instigate or convince Malaysians.
We can see …read and judge and MACC certainly got vast majority Malaysians hating them.
With such a scenario…no need DAP members.
Any Malaysian may automatically react…..out of love for Teoh Beng Hock.
    Killing not enough.
Must condemn the victim….with false information…claiming suicide? How do you think Teoh’s parents…brothers and sisters..and friends feel?
Can anyone tell me…why should Teoh commit suicide? MACC need to prove Teoh’s so call suicidal act was possible. Where is the 100% proof? Yet…under questioning…by Gobinda…the forensic doctor was forced to admit…contradicting suicidal act..but perhaps tortured to death..is also possible.
And now…one came out to reveal…a high ranking officer like to hold belt .while questioning Teoh.
He must have put Teoh over the wall and the life depends on the belt. The belt snapped.
    Can that be possible?
On the eve of his marriage day…he commit suicide? Are you nuts!!
For what?. For small sum of money…and die for that?
How hard working MACC is….yet so many cases concerning UMNO frauds…MACC cannot be bothered…do not act at all.
Always the opposition….and Kugan also died in police station. Did he commit suicide too?
The signs are there. People are very angry with MACC obvious double standards…insincere and highly rated as liars by the people.
Must all angry Malaysians be DAP members?
Why not blame Teoh’s family members and friends?
They have much better reasons to do that.
    Why blame DAP?

I’ll go along with Greenbug about smokescreen and red herring. An attempt was made on Teresa’s parents’ house last time. Now this one on the MACC Klang office. Quite a contrast but it’s possible both are from the same source.

Could it be from the same “underworld gang”? Financed by somebody. The first one was to threaten. The second one was to create a diversion because there’s now too much heat.

If they don’t like MACC they could have firebombed the vehicle soon after the TBH incident. Why now after knowing that a letter that holds the secret to all the goings-on inside the MACC is now in the court?

Attacks on MACC using molotov cocktails is an act of terror. Regretably Nasi Lee, instead of asking PDRM to spare no efforts in hunting down the person/persons responsible, chose to turn it into a political issue thereby, revealing himself as a low class politician and incompetent minister.

Strangely though, PDRM is not saying much about this case……..maybe because they know the identity of the culprits. They are the same people who threatened opposition politicians using the same things. Stranger still is the fact that those who used molotov cocktails on politicians from Pakatan Rakyat, not even one was ever caught by PDRM!

    So, who are the suspects?

“….did not rule out “underworld connection” to the arson attack..” – this is a speculative observation. Anything is possible. One cannot equally rule out disgruntled MACC officers from throwing Molotov cocktails at MACC’s 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Even if “Selangor MACC was investigating claims that some state exco members had links with the underworld, as alleged by Wangsa Maju PKR MP Wee Choo Keong”, MACC is also investigating countless others (including those implicated in PKFZ scandal ) that may equally harbour grievances against MACC. There is no logical reason to single out underworld – since when has their modus operandi involve Mat Rempits’ Molotov cocktails?? – is much less connect the underworld to state exco members as if Wee Choo Keong’s claims have been proven.

There is no end to spurious allegation : for example one also “cannot rule out” the possibility that the allegations of the complicity between between a top MACC officer and an influential politician working together to start investigations into alleged corrupt practises by Selangor’s Pakatan Rakyat leaders contained in the mystery letter which emerged at the Teoh Beng Hock inquest are true and that the orchestrators of these political investigations planned the throwing of Molotov cocktails to distract public from that letter and to provide excuse for authorities to crack down on the Selangor Opposition!

Which is interestingly replied to and matched by another indirect/oblique counter-speculation on LKS part when he alludes to “the Reichstag (German Parliament) fire in 1933 which had been blamed on the Gestapo as it was the event which precipitated the Nazi takeover of Germany.” Now where’s the end to speculation?

YB – I think you meant Hitler blaming “Communists” rather than “Gestapo” for the Reichstag (German Parliament) fire to accelerate NAZI takeover of Germany.

There were differing accounts who really started fire. Friotz Tobias published an authoritative study on it. He concluded Nazis did not start fire, Communists & their parties denied vehemently any involvement. It was started by a half naked Dutch loony, Marinus van der Lubbe. The specifics of who really started arson wasn’t important. Event was used by Hitler tactically and propagandistically when he said “Now I have them” (meaning the Communists). Hiltler mobilised through Goring the whole police force & Gestapo to arrest 4000, most of whom were members of Communist Party, with Hitler’s main Reichstag’s rival, communist leader Ernst Torgler, arrested. Next morning Hitler called on ailing President Hindenburg, dramatized events of the fire as Communist uprising, placed a prepared emergency decree for him to sign and vesting ultimately in himself and Nazi party the powers of the state. (reference – Joachim C. Fest book on “Hitler” 1975 edition pg 395 to 398).

So the sleepy head thought that he had to do some good for the nation before he left the office of PM. He spoke of going against corruption during his time. And towards the end he created a tool which the umno gobermen now conveniently use to protect its corrupt ways and to entrench its corrupt position. Mahathir started everthing, badawi gave umno the tool to continue and najib now is a happy user of the tool and therefore a great beneficiary of mahathir’s corrupt ways.

Nazri’s statements, as always, were conceived in his bowels and discharged through his rear orifice. My sympathy goes to those journalists who were tasked to receive them. Having said so, perhaps I may add – with certainty of course – that some of them took the discharge quite willingly and gladly. But I shant go into that. Instead I shall look to see if a plausible basis could be found for his emphasis on the investigation by the macc on underworld activities. Didnt the macc announce some days ago that they do not target pakatan and its members for they also do investigate umno members etc as well? This announcement does not go well with nazri’s stated observation on the arson incident. As many in this blog have mentioned, that could well the work of others who are now under investigation. So the issue is what on earth drove nazri to make that comment? To my mind, the answer is simple. Macc may be investigating many people but they are only seemingly doing so as a camouflage for their real target which is umno’s opponents. Nazri knew this well for nothing seems to swim in his head at the moment except thoughts of bringing pakatan down. Investigations mounted by macc against people other than pakatan members are mere wayang.

In short nazri farts too much and releases a lot what he was not suppose to.

The gulf of tonkin incident was a good example of what is now known as “false flag” operation. Hitler used it to blame the jews and communist to incite hatred.

The americans wanted to invade vietnam but had no justification for doing so. The public relation nightmare that followed would be difficult to handle. So what they did was to find a boat , an old condemned boat, and blast it to smithereens and then blamed it on the vietnamese. They then went to town with it to incite outrage amongst the citizens of us. That became the perfect excuse and justification for the americans to escalate the conflict in vietnam. This is now revealed due to the freedom of information act in the US.

911 bombing was also another false flag operation.

Jeffrey, speculation is part and parcel of healthy scepticism but when a speculation is deliberately designed to mislead and create harm to another it is then mischievous. Look at the interview nasri gave. His body language suggested that he lied. He himself “knew” that his speculation was dangerous and mischievous but he had to put it in.

So now macc officers can carry weapon. The scotland yard officers never had a need to carry firearm. It had become a proud tradition.

Question ! If the molotov cocktail was within the macc compound why weren’t there any security ? Conveniently no security camera ?

All the signs of false flag operation are present.

Why didn’t TDM say that this episode is self inflicted, just like what he said about Anwar;s black eye and the crashing of the twin towers in New York.

Hi guys, another funny thing about Umno/Bn is that they have forgotten they live in glass houses and when they threw stones at others and missed but hit its onw houses, they simply blamed others,Wow what a strange thing to relate !

If there is suspect, it should be Khir Toyo. Given the revelation of MACC letter and failures to tarnish and topple the Selangor Govt over the past year, he is essentially done and in fact a liability for UMNO. So long as he is around PR will win back Selangor anytime..

Its quite clear the goons under him and elsewhere in UMNO think the last resort if BN get toppled is to engineer a reason for Emergency Rule and suspension of Parliament. Such a tactic is no different than terrorism and calls for BN govt to resign..

PR need to point out should chaos occur in this country, UN peacekeepers should be brought in and UN conduct the next general election which should be as soon as possible..There is no way the terror tactic is an option – its the thinking of stupid selfish people.

    moo hee din,

the more you talk, the more you look like a fool, beter act like TS Kah Lid,talk less and do more!

another thng, why so called ‘independent’ SPRM/MACC top guns are always sitting together with UMNO elites for press conferencing???and if MACC top guns dont even know what their staff are doing (related to TBH’s murder),how the hell they are going to know Ronnie’s assistant committed in scandals?

MACC directors,if you ppl hide something related to TBH’s murder, that’s tantamount to misconduct, you all should be prosecuted for corruption too!

MACC,mind your own business,if you have caught some UMNOputras for corruption and charged them behind bars, ppl would have positive perception on you,but let go all of them, but instead go full swing against PR leaders, and these are the things that ppl cant tolerate!

Looks like arson, sounds like arson, smells like arson
Is it a real arson or a self-staged arson on fire?
To devert attention from the exposure (mysterious letter presented at the TBH inquest on Wed)

This is the problem with someone who claims to be smarter than everybody when in actual he knows next to nothing.
