Thanks to Zahid for latest proof of the toxic politics of lies, falsehoods, race and religion to incite fear, suspicion, distrust and hatred among Malaysians in the script of klepto-theocracy, even resorting to the most stupidest of lies and falsehoods

I thank the UMNO President, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi for providing the latest proof of the toxic politics of lies, falsehoods, race and religion to incite fear, suspicion, distrust and hatred among Malaysians in the script of klepto-theocracy, even resorting to the most stupidest of lies and falsehoods.

I must confess that I was taken aback by Zahid’s rejoinder to Bersatu Chairman Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s claim that UMNO practised a culture of becoming “dumb and dumber”, with Zahid’s assertion that Mahathir was being “fooled”: by the DAP.

Was Zahid suggesting that Mahathir was obeying a DAP directive when addressing 1,215 delegates of Bersatu’s Extraordinary Gneeral Meeting on Saturday, when Mahathir advised Bersatu to avoid being caught in a cycle of self-serving leaders who will prevent others with more capability to rise and succeed them as happened to UMNOI?

Was Zahid saying that Mahathir’s reason for UMNO’s eventual downfall when the people moved to reject self-serving leaders was the invention and creation of DAP, and that Mahathir did not have the IQ to think and analyse things on his own?

Mahathir had said: “In order to preserve his position, an Umno branch chief is not keen to allow others who are more capable to be members. The only ones who can join are those dumber than him. Read the rest of this entry »

Why Annuar Musa has not apologised for UMNO’s complicity in monstrous global 1MDB scandal before 2014 although he has admitted it?

The current UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Annuar Musa should explain why he has not apologised for UMNO’s complicity in the monstrous global 1MDB scandal before 2014 although he has admitted to it?

Annuar made this admission when he claimed that UMNO’s current frozen accounts had nothing to do with 1MDB as the funds from the former UYMNO President, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, were “used up by 2014″.

Is Annuar’s admission of UMNO complicity in the 1MDB scandal an official admission?

Has Annuar received the consent of the UMNO President, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi, the UMNO Deputy President, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan and the UMNO Supreme Council to make this admission of UMNO’s complicity in the monstrous global 1MDB scandal?

Is Zahid also back as Parliamentary Opposition Leader?

In a most dramatic fashion, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced yesterday his return from garden leave to resume the mantle of UMNO president.

But will he resume the role of Parliamentary Opposition Leader or will he concede that the UMNO President need not be the UMNO leader in Parliament?

Three things are noteworthy about Zahid’s return from his garden leave, viz

· firstly, it was a few days after Zahid was slapped with new corruption charges making him create history in the Malaysian courthouse with a total of 87 criminal charges related to corruption;

· secondly, opposition of UMNO leaders to Zahid’s unilateral ending of his garden leave, like former UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin who said Zahid should first seek the opinion of the UMNO supreme council; and

· thirdly, intervention by the former UMNO president Datuk Seri Najib Razak overriding such opposition and paving the way for Zahid’s return by insisting that Zahid does not require consent from the party’s supreme council to make his return as UMNO President as it was a decision up to Zahid alone to decide. UMNO Supreme Council should take responsibility to clear up the financial mess in Utusan Malaysia and not make the Utusan journalists scapegoats of UMNO kleptocracy and incompetence

The UMNO Supreme Council must take responsibility and clear up the financial mess in Utusan Malaysia and not make the Utusan Malaysia journalists as scapegoats of Umno kleptocracy and incompetence.

The Utusan Melayu Bhd staff have urged Abdul Aziz Sheikh Fadzir to return as executive chairman so that he can complete the task of turning the company – which is in a financial mess – around, as Aziz was fully aware of the company’s situation, having put in place a rescue plan for Utusan last June.

Nobody knows whether Aziz’s return to Utusan Malaysia would turn the newspaper around, but I fully agree with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretary Basir Abu Bakar, who is also an Utusan reporter, that whoever helms the company must be committed to saving Utusan.

I will go one step further and state that the UMNO Supreme Council must not be allowed to run away from its responsibility to the Utusan Malaysia journalists, including those who have recently left, as UMNO’s fall from power in Putrajaya in the 14th General Election on May 9, 2018 cannot and must not be used as an excuse to dismiss the Utusan Malaysia journalists – unless UMNO is going to dissolve itself!

In this connection, I fully endorse the call of Gerakan Media Merdeka (Geramm) to the Utusan Malaysia management to take swift actions to resolve its outstanding issues with Utusan as it is unfair for Utusan Malaysia’s management to sideline the rights of their former workers who for many years had contributed to the company and made a sacrifice in order to keep the country’s oldest Malay newspaper afloat.

Supreme PAS insult to UMNO – If not by UMNO national leaders but definitely to the overwhelming majority of UMNO State, Division and Branch leaders and its over 3 million members

It’s the supreme insult – if not felt by UMNO national leaders, whether former UMNO Ministers, former or present UMNO MPs, but definitely by the overwhelming majority of the UMNO State, Division and Branch leaders and its over three million UMNO members.

Never before had any PAS leader been able to deliver such a supreme insult to UMNO in the past 67 years since the formation of PAS in 1951, when all PAS could do was to play a very marginal role as compared to UMNO.

To whom would Zahid hand over his duties as Parliamentary Opposition Leader? Would Bung Moktar be the acting Parliamentary Opposition Leader?

Bagan Datuk MP Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has caved in to pressure and announced that he would step aside as Umno president, handing his duties as UMNO President to his deputy Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

To whom would Zahid hand over his duties as Parliamentary Opposition Leader? Would Bung Moktar Radin be the acting Parliamentary Opposition Leader? Read the rest of this entry »

Would Najib regard it as “betrayal of principle” if UMNO MPs condemn him and 1MDB scandal as among the greatest catastrophes in the nation’s history

The statement by the former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak that UMNO MPs must not abandon UMNO because they must hold on to their principle raise an interesting question whether Najib would regard it as a “betrayal of principle” if UMNO MPs condemn him and 1MDB scandal as among the greatest catastrophes in the nation’s history!

This question becomes pertinent and relevant with the latest 1MDB salvo from investment bank Goldman Sachs who accused the former Najib government of having lied about its 1MDB dealings. Read the rest of this entry »

Will UMNO have to build a mega-stadium with the capacity to accommodate 146,000 UMNO delegates before Zahid could be removed as UMNO President?

The past four days marked the lowest ebb in the 69-year-old history of UMNO, as with 38 MPs in Parliament with the exodus of 16 MPs, UMNO has created history in having the least number of UMNO MPs in Parliament for six decades since 1959.

The number of UMNO MPs elected in the previous thirteen general elections were: Read the rest of this entry »

Why no one in UMNO, whether individuals, branches or divisions, dare to raise the subject of Najib and his kleptocractic government in the current debate on the future of UMNO?

Some press have reported that I have made two contradictory statements on the exodus of UMNO MPs from UMNO yesterday – one when attending the AMANAH national conference in Ipoh in the morning and the other when launching the Malay Mail book “100 Days, 100 Pictures” in Kuala Lumpur in the evening.

These press were wrong, for I did not contradict myself in these two statements. Read the rest of this entry »

Expulsion of Najib from UMNO may be the only step to save UMNO from total extinction although even this step may be too late

If the Larut MP Hamzah Zainuddin was telling the truth, that 36 BN MPs including 33 from UMNO had only a month ago signed letters of support for the Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, and that UMNO President Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi was kept completely in the dark, it portends two possibilities:

· Firstly, that as many as another 20 UMNO MPs are set on leaving UMNO, resulting in UMNO, which at one time claimed the divine right to rule the country, to the regional status of PAS in having less than 20 MPs; and

· Secondly, that Zahid Hamidi’s tenure as UMNO President is likely to be the shortest in UMNO history.

Is Rahman Dahlan prepared to show direction for UMNO by condemning Najib for the 1MDB catastrophe which brought Malaysia the infamy, ignominy and iniquity of a global kleptocracy

Former Najib stalwart who was Minister and Barisan Nasional Strategic Communications Director Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan was spot-on when he said that the lack of direction in Umno following the party’s colossal defeat in the May 9 polls is one of the reasons for the exodus of its Sabah lawmakers.

Is Rahman prepared to show direction for UMNO by condemning Datuk Seri Najib Razak for the 1MDB catastrophe which brought Malaysia the infamy, ignominy and iniquity as a global kleptocracy?

UMNO was rudderless because it had lost the moral compass, and no one even after the colossal defeat suffered by UMNO in the 14th General Election dared to speak up to identify Najib and his 1MDB kleptocracy as the leading causes of UMNO’s undoing. Read the rest of this entry »

All the UMNO and PAS MPs who disregarded and defied the Speaker’s directives and shouted and yelled incessantly to stop Waytha Moorthy from continuing his reply in Parliament on Monday should be referred to the Committee of Privileges to prevent another recurrence

What happened in Parliament on Monday morning, when UMNO and PAS Members of Parliament defied and disregarded the Speaker’s directives and shouted and yelled incessantly to stop the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, P. Waytha Moorthy from replying and delivering his speech during the Ministerial winding-up in the debate on the 2019 Budget is the greatest disgrace in the half-a-century history of Malaysian Parliament, as such a dishonourable incident had never happened before in the Malaysian Parliament since 1959.

Has parliamentary standards in Malaysia degraded so much in the past half-a-century? Is the Malaysian Parliament next to graduate to fist-fights and physical attacks on the Speaker as happened in other Parliaments?

What made Monday’s disgraceful incident in Parliament even more shocking is that some of the miscreant Members of Parliament were former Cabinet Ministers – which highlighted the glaring fact that the former Cabinet that was unceremoniously chucked out of Putrajaya by the Malaysian voters on May 9, 2018 was one the worst in Malaysian history – made up of the most “deadwood” and “half-past six” Ministers. Will UMNO and PAS hold joint protest rally to condemn Najib, 1MDB scandal and Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy

Will UMNO and PAS hold a joint protest rally against Najib Razak, 1MDB scandal and Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy?

There are no signs that UMNO and PAS are prepared to do so, as their leaders and Members of Parliament do not regard the international 1MDB corruption, criminal breach of trust and money-laundering scandal or the infamy and ignominy to Malaysia to be regarded worldwide as a global kleptocracy to be of any concern at all.

This is why in the 2019 Budget debate in Parliament, while the 1MDB scandal continues to make daily waves internationally, not a single UMNO or PAS MP dare to take a stand that the monstrous 1MDB “kleptocracy at its worst” scandal is a national catastrophe and that the former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak must be held responsible for the infamy of Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy. Fie to all Opposition MPs as not a single UMNO, MCA, MIC, PAS or Opposition MP dared to take a stand during the Budget debate that 1MDB scandal is a national catastrophe and Najib must be held responsible for the infamy of Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy

The 2019 Budget debate in Parliament has ended, with the Ministers beginning their replies today.

One of the most astounding features of the 2019 Budget debate is that not a single UMNO, MCA, MIC, PAS or Opposition MP dare to take a stand that the monstrous 1MDB “kleptocracy at its worst” scandal is a national catastrophe and that the former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak must be held responsible for the infamy of Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy.

This despite my public reminder before the budget debate that every Opposition MP should declare his or her stand whether 1MDB scandal was a national catastrophe and whether Najib should be held responsible for Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy.

This shows that not a single Opposition MP could be depended upon to perform the national duty to redeem Malaysia’s international reputation and standing by transforming Malaysia from a global kleptocracy into a leading nation in integrity in the world. Read the rest of this entry »

Did Zahid get a mandate from various UMNO levels – UMNO Supreme Council, UMNO MPs and State Assembly representatives, UMNO Divisions, UMNO Youth, UMNO Wanita and UMNO Puteri and the UMNO General Assembly – as well as from other Barisan Nasional parties for the proposal of a merger between UMNO and PAS?

UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi must be credited with making the most astounding announcement in the six months after Malaysians created history toppling the sixth Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak and the six-decade rule of UMNO/BN Government in a peaceful and democratic transition of power.

This is his proposal at the joint UMNO-PAS rally in Pasir Salak last night openly calling for a PAS-UMNO merger “in the name of Islam, Malays, Malaysia and bumiputera”.

Two months ago, Zahid assured Malaysians that the co-operation between UMNO and PAS was not leading towards the formation of a new coalition but was a co-operation between two parties to strengthen their roles in the opposition camp.

There is now a quantum jump in Zahid’s political thinking where an informal co-operation for Opposition’s sake had been skyrocketed into a merger between the two parties.

But two questions need to be clarified first: Read the rest of this entry »

Let Najib reply to Utusan Malaysia and every Opposition MP take a stand on the latest Utusan position on Najib when Parliament reconvenes next week

Last Monday, I called on every Opposition Member of Parliament to declare his or her stand during the 2019 Budget debate in Parliament next week whether the 1MDB scandal was a national catastrophe and whether Datuk Seri Najib Razak should be held responsible for Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy or whether all the things said by the Pakatan Harapan government on the 1MDB scandal were lies and slanders.

I suggested that there was no point of UMNO President, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi, in speaking although as Parliamentary Opposition Leader he would by convention open up the parliamentary debate on the 2019 Budget on Monday, if he is not prepared to declare his stand whether the 1MDB scandal was a national catastrophe and whether Najib should be held responsible for Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy.

Yesterday, Zahid announced that the Barisan Nasional MPs have decided that instead of the traditional practice of the Parliamentary Opposition Leader opening up the 2019 Budget debate on Monday, the former Umno Youth leader, Khairy Jamaluddin will be the first speaker in the 2019 Budget debate.

Let every Opposition MP declare his or her stand during the budget debate whether 1MDB scandal was a national catastrophe and whether Najib should be held responsible for Malaysia becoming a global kleptocracy

Forme Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak made a big bang in his political debut on Saturday after his electoral debacle six months ago telling his loyal supporters the fable that UMNO/BN’s defeat in the 14th General Election was due to an uneven playing field marred by lies, slanders and empty promises by Pakatan Harapan and not the 1MDB scandal, which he continued to maintain does not exist.

Most naïve for UMNO leaders to believe they can wash UMNO’s hand of 1MDB scandal when UMNO has not renounced the 1MDB scandal and over RM400 million 1MDB monies ended up in UMNO hands

It is quite naïve for UMNO leaders to believe that they can wash UMNO’s hand of 1MDB scandal when UMNO has not renounced the 1MDB scandal and over RM400 million 1MDB monies ended up in UMNO hands.

Deputy UMNO President, Mohamad Hasan said it is unfair, inappropriate and illogical to blame and punish Umno over the 1MDB scandal.

Is Mohamad Hassan saying it is fair, appropriate and logical for 32 million Malaysians and future generations should pay for the RM50 billion 1MDB scandal, when it was the sole creation of the UMNO/BN kleptocrats?

Mohamad said UMNO was not involved in the operation and transactions involving the wealth fund.

The UMNO Deputy President was being dishonest. How else to square with over RM400 million of 1MDB funds disbursed to various UMNO organisations and personalities! Read the rest of this entry »

When mind games go wrong…

There were three mind games, which had been defined as psychological tactics used to manipulate or intimidate, which went horribly wrong yesterday.

The first was when the UMNO President and former Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi turned up at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to provide moral support for former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak , who was slapped with an additional six charges to total 38 charges, just seven short of Zahid’s total of 45 charges on corruption, money-laundering and abuse of power.

He later tweeted a photograph of the two of them seated together and stated that the “relentless attack” against the pair would not break their spirit.

“We will remain steadfast in the struggle.

“This overkill leads to a trust deficit in the government. It greatly benefits the accused. Thank-you for dragging us (to court).” Read the rest of this entry »

Hadi will be a disgrace to political Islam if he cannot substantiate his allegation that DAP discriminates against the East Coast by opposing equal development for Terengganu and Kelantan

I am astonished by the allegation by the PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang that DAP is guilty of “sikap diskriminasi…yang tidak menyokong hasrat kerajaan untuk membawa pembagunan saksama kepada lima negeriu termasuk Terengganu dan Kelantan”.

In a Berita Harian online report which appeared at 4.07 pm yesterday, under the heading “PAS dakwa DAP diskriminasi pembangunan Pantai Timur”, Hadi was quoted as saying that “diskriminasi DAP terhadap hasrat Kerajaan Persekutuan untuk memajukan negeri Pantai Timur begitu ketara”.

The Berita Harian report said:

Read the rest of this entry »
