The acid test of the Ismail Sabri government is whether it could win the war against the Covid-19 pandemic and bring it under control as the pandemic is still on the relentless march towards the 64th National Day on August 31 and 58th Malaysia Day on September 16 settling dubious new records.
Yesterday, we broke the 1.6 million-mark for cumulative total of Covid-19 cases. Read the rest of this entry »

The War Cabinet should reflect this parliamentary unity to turn the tides of defeat in the 20-month war against the Covid-19 pandemic with a new policy and strategy to gain control of the Covid-19 pandemic and restore pubic hope, trust and confidence in a “whole-of-society” approach.

Malaysia needs Anwar Ibrahim as new Prime Minister to bring in new team and new policies to end the carnage of Covid-19 pandemic and ignite anew the Malaysian Dream

Malaysia needs Anwar Ibrahim as new Prime Minister of Malaysia to bring in a new team and new policies to end the carnage of Covid-19 pandemic and ignite anew the Malaysian Dream as Deputy Prime Minister Ismail Sabri had been public face of the government mishandling of the Covid-19 pandemic which had caused over 12,500 deaths and 1.4 million Covid-19 cases.
Unless there is new leadership and new policies, Malaysia is heading towards over 15,000 deaths and over 1.7 million Covid-19 cases when we grimly mark our 64th National Day on August 31. Read the rest of this entry »
Can Malaysia reset to achieve the Malaysian Dream for the country to be a world-class great nation by ending the carnage of the Covid-19 pandemic and starting anew to build on our strength and capabilities?
Posted by Kit in COVID-19, nation building on Sunday, 15 August 2021
The Malaysian political crisis is moving at a rapid pace while Covid-19 pandemic is worsening with ever grim reports about new Covid-19 cases and deaths.
On Friday evening, the Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin in a live telecast presented a seven-point framework for bipartisan co-operation but within 24 hours there were rife rumours that he will resign when he meets the Yang di Pertuan Agong on Monday as Cabinet members were unaware of the contents of the proposals. #kerajaangagal166 –Call for a “Malaysia Reset” Roundtable of political and civil society on the occasion of the anniversaries of 64th National Day/58th Malaysia Day on August 31/Sept. 15 to save Malaysia from the fate of a failed state

An international media two days ago carried an article entitled: “Malaysia is staggering down the road to failed statehood”.
I agree. Malaysia is not yet a failed state but it is on the trajectory of a failed state, and Malaysians, regardless of race, religion, region or politics, must unite to save Malaysia from the fate of a failed state.

Malaysia ended June 2021 with quite a disastrous bang – we overtook Jordan and now ranked No. 35 among nations with the most cumulative total of Covid-19 cases with 751,979 cases and 5,170 deaths from Covid-19.
We will next overtake Japan, ranked No. 34, presently with 798,159 Covid-19 cases and 14,740 Covid-19 deaths well before the Tokyo Olympics scheduled for July 23 – August 8, 2021. Read the rest of this entry »
#kerajaangagal133 – Support for two parliamentarians who want allegations about the police and judiciary not to be swept under the carpet

I support the call by two Parliamentarians, DAP MP for Segambut Hannah Yeoh and Warisan MP for Penampang, Darell Leking, that allegations implicating the independence of the Malaysian judiciary, the legal profession and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) must not be swept under the carpet.
Hannah and Darell were referring to news reports on alleged interference with the judiciary involving two senior lawyers and that police reports have been lodged by the parties involved.
Malaysiakini recently reported on how what began as an issue over the bumiputera equity requirement for a Petronas licence involving a Malaysian unit of Aker Solutions ASA, Norway’s largest oil services firm, has escalated into claims of judicial fixing that have rocked the legal fraternity. Challenge for DAP is to reaffirm the four principles of Malaysian nation-building adopted at the First DAP Congress in Setapak in 1967 and expand their support among Malaysians to win the 15th General Election to begin to fulfil the Malaysian Dream for Malaysia to be a united world-class great nation

I have called on DAP cadres and members at all levels and throughout the country to unite and rally behind the party for Pakatan Harapan to achieve a new high point in the 15th General Election as well as to safeguard the party against external forces which are trying to split and destroy it.
Our challenge is to reaffirm the four principles of Malaysian nation-building adopted at the First DAP Congress in Setapak in 1967 and expand their support among Malaysians to win the 15th General Election to begin to fulfil the Malaysian Dream for Malaysia to an united world-class great nation. What will the exchange rate between the Malaysian Ringgit and the Singapore Dollar in 50 years’ time in 2070?
Posted by Kit in DAP, Malaysian Dream, nation building on Monday, 26 April 2021
(Tatal ke bawah untuk kenyataan versi BM)
I was coming up from Pekan Nenas and on the way I was thinking about this book-launch when a thought struck me.
Fifty years ago, one Malaysian ringgit was equivalent to one Singapore dollar. Now, it is S$1 to RM3. What will it be like in 2050 or 2070? Will be it 1:4, 1:5 or even 1:6? Why no one is thinking it could be the other way round, to be 1:3, 1:2 or even 1:1?
That in essence is the substance of the Malaysian Dream – how we can be a united world-class great nation or whether our fate is to just to plunge on to become a failed state!
Do we lack resources, talent, brain-power or whatever and destined to lose out to Singapore? Read the rest of this entry »
There is a movement questioning why Gobind, Kula, Tengku Zulpuri, Ramasamy, Jagdeep, Aziz Bari, Zairil and others are DAP MPs or SAs when their constituencies should be contested by Chinese candidates

This movement sounds the call of “Chinese unite” to respond to the “Malays unite” political call, advocating that in the 15th General Election, the Chinese voters should vote for good Chinese candidates regardless of political party. Read the rest of this entry »
The issue is not Mahathir but how to unite our diverse peoples as Malaysians to fulfil the Malaysian Dream as a world-class great nation

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad yesterday explained his “DAP sometimes extreme” remark which became fodder for those who are out to tar the DAP leadership and me has having sold out Chinese rights and interests.
For the past 55 years, I have been demonised as anti-Malay, anti-Islam, anti-Royalty, a communist, cause of May 13, 1969 riots in Kuala Lumpur, a non-Malaysian who came from China when I was 17 years old, when all these were lies and falsehoods as all DAP leaders are fully committed to uphold the cardinal features of the Malaysian Constitution and the Rukunegara nation-building principles, viz; Read the rest of this entry »
Malaysian Dream movement must dare to face daunting tests and obstacles but we must be fortified by the conviction that truth and justice will eventually prevail
Posted by Kit in DAP, Malaysian Dream, nation building on Saturday, 17 April 2021
I said a few days ago that Pakatan Harapan must learn the lessons from the 22-month Pakatan Harapan Government whose five-year mandate was cut short by the Sheraton Move conspiracy which brought in a backdoor, undemocratic and illegitimate government and one lesson is to be more aware of power of lies, falsehood, fake news and disinformation.
I have denied that DAP has any de-Chinese, de-Malay, de-Indian, de-Kadazan or de-Iban policy, as it is very opposite of what the DAP is trying to do – that Malaysians will have multiple identities, ethnic, religious, linguistic, cultural, regional, but their common overriding identity must be that of a Malaysian. I will contest the DAP Central Executive Committee election in June this year and am prepared to be defeated in a party election where I have given over 55 years of my life in pursuit of the Malaysian Dream.
I am not aiming for any front-line leadership position.
I want to reiterate that DAP does not advocate any de-Chinese, de-Malay, de-Indian, de-Kadazan or de-Iban policy. We stand for the very opposite, as we want Malaysians to accept that Malaysians will have multiple identities – ethnic, religious, linguistic, cultural, regional – but first and foremost that they are all Malaysians. In the DAP’s 55-year history, it had the victim of many lies, falsehoods and baseless allegations.
The DAP had been falsely accused of being anti-Malay, anti-Islam and anti-Royalty when throughout our history, DAP had remained committed to the Malaysian Dream for the country to become a world-class great nation which is only possible if all Malaysians regardless of race, religion or region are united under the Malaysian Constitution and Rukunegara to build a harmonious, just, democratic, progressive and prosperous plural nation. DAP had never been extremist unless the Malaysian Dream where every citizen is Malaysian first before his or her ethnic, religious or other identities is “extremist”

DAP had never been extremist unless the Malaysian Dream where every citizen is Malaysian first before his or her ethnic, religious or other identities is “extremist”.
The Malaysian Constitution and the Rukun Negara are the basis of the Malaysian plural society, based on constitutional monarchy, federalism, parliamentary democracy, the separation of powers, the rule of law, good governance, public integrity, respect for human right, religious freedom and tolerance.
How far we have veered from these moderate and middle-of-the-road practices is illustrated by the sad fact that we have now Cabinet Ministers who do not subscribe to the nation-building principles spelt out in the Constitution and the Rukun Negara. Read the rest of this entry »
