Hew was a “angry young man”, unorthodox and irreverent, to the extent of being extremely crude and vulgar, to fight for justice and a better Malaysia and the last thing he would do is to be a communist or to promote communism

=================================

I have known Hew Kuan Yau for over three decades, since the early years as an “angry young man” who was unorthodox and irreverent, to the extent of being extremely crude and vulgar causing great embarrassment all round, to fight for justice and a better Malaysia, and the last thing he would do is to be a communist or to promote communism.

It has therefore come as a shock to me that his comic book titled Belt and Road Initiative for Win-Winism was banned yesterday by the Home Ministry under Section 7(1) of the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 for among other reasons promoting communism and sympathy for the communist struggle.

I do not agree with all of Hew’s thoughts and ideas, and I have not read his comic book when the controversy blew up but Hew is neither a communist nor a communist sympathiser.

I do not believe that the Home Ministry had acted rightly in leveling the charges that Hew’s comic book was promoting communism and sympathy for the communist struggle.

I call on the Home Ministry officials to review the ban as the Pakatan Harapan Government had come into power on the promise to usher in an era of greater openness without undermining national security.

In fact, in Promise No. 27, the Pakatan Harapan had specifically made the pledge in the 14th General Election to repeal oppressive laws like the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984.

The Communists are dead, except in a certain cigar manufacturing country. So are the LTTE. Malaysians should not use dead horses to flog living people.

Pakatan is very good at bringing to book greedy UMNO politicians, including my boss. UMNOPAS/PASUMNO is waiting for a change in government so that they can dip their hands into the till again. I hope Pakatan would avoid corruption and cronyism of their own. Otherwise, the opposition when they become the government again would kill two birds with one stone!

Meanwhile the real Bossku should stop being so sensitive to being depicted in comic books. Just lay back and enjoy the comic book, for God knows what silly and funny things he has been doing of late!

Hew is not guilty of what the attackers says but he was wrong for promoting China’s idea. Ronnie Liu is merely stating the truth no matter how unpleasant and damaging. Yet DAP defend Hew but is hauling Ronnie Liu for indiscipline..

PH is unworkable and its overdue the original founders get on with plan to make it work. If PH falls, DAP also has no future because Malaysia has no future.

You are correct. There is nothing communist about that comic. That Bersatu Duo of oldman and Moo-Din, is just using the opportunity to discredit DAP and destabilise DAP. Please be very careful. They may even try to plant some flags and T shirts with some old grenades in one of your small district office, that raid it to make their case stronger. These racist Bersatu will stop at nothing. This is a good time to get out of Harapan and be Harapan friendly like Warisan, even if it risk collapsing this government. Speak to DSAI. Join back when oldman resign. Please DO NOT trust that oldman and Bersatu in general. Their racist philosophy is incompartible with yours. Time to say goodbye to them, until Bersatu and oldman leave.
