Singapore’s return to Malaysia of RM46 million stolen from 1MDB powerful reminder that unless MCA and UMNO leaders apologise and repent for aiding and abetting Najib in 1MDB corruption scandal, there is no future for MCA and UMNO

Singapore’s return to Malaysia of RM46 million unlawfully misappropriated from 1MDB and its former subsidiaries should be powerful reminder that the 1MDB global kleptocracy is not going to go away and unless MCA and UMNO leaders apologise and repent for aiding and abetting former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in the 1MDB corruption scandal, there is no future for MCA and UMNO.

Efforts to recover other unlawfully misappropriated assets in the 1MDB scandal are ongoing not only in Singapore, but in many countries, including the United States and Switzerland and will continue to periodically catch international headlines and remind Malaysians of the criminality and moral turpitude of the 1MDB global kleptocracy.

The monies recovered from the misappropriated assets in the 1MDB scandal will be transferred to the special 1Malaysia Development Bhd recovery bank account in Kuala Lumpur.

It is open secret that cybertrooopers had been employed and deployed by UMNO and MCA to criticise DAP and Pakatan Harapan leaders for continuing to talk about the 1MDB global kleptocracy, for their secret agenda is to get the DAP and Pakatan Harapan leaders to stop talking about the 1MDB scandal, whether during by-elections or otherwise.

But their strategies to stop Malaysians focussing on the 1MDB global kleptocracy are destined to fail, for as in the past few years, the 1MDB scandal will continue to periodically make international headlines because of the unprecedented international scale and global magnitude of the 1MDB corruption and crime that the United States Attorney-General had described it as “kleptocracy at its worst”.

Malaysian must purge the 1MDB ghost and scandal, and this cannot be done by forgetting about it.

Furthermore, the failure of UMNO and MCA leaders to apologise and repent for aiding and abetting former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in the 1MDB global kleptocracy will only prove that neither UMNO nor MCA is capable of reform to become a honest and constructive opposition party, and will continue to be rejected by the people as in the three recent by-elections in Sungai Kandi, Balakong and Seri Setia.

If UMNO and MCA want to be accepted as reformed political parties who can play a role in the necessary check-and-balance mechanism in any democratic society, then all UMNO and MCA leaders (including Ministers) who had aided and abetted in Najib’s 1MDB global kleptocracy should publicly apologise and retire from front-line political office.

If UMNO and MCA leaders think they can find salvation through an MCA/UMNO/PAS unholy alliance, which saw initial efforts in the Balakong and Seri Setia by-elections, they cannot be more mistaken and history will show them to be very wrong!

Zahid Hamidi’s UMNO already committed and excited to attend PAS muktamar, in the hope getting PAS supporters. UMNO simply can never get PAS base to support it equally even if PAS leaders come out in full force for them which PAS will never do because PAS leaders want to lead the coalition. Then there are those in UMNO who disagree with subservience to PAS

UMNO is on its way to being sub party of PAS unless KJ can take over the party soon. Eventually UMNO will be to PAS, what MCA, MIC is to UMNO.
