DAP facing life-and-death struggle with the widening of the battleground and opening of a third phase of the UMNO/BN “DDD” campaign to demonise and destroy DAP

DAP is facing a life-and-death struggle with the widening of the battleground and opening of the third phase of the UMNO/BN “DDD” campaign to demonise and destroy the DAP.

In the past several months, the Umno/BN “DDD” – “Demonise/Destroy DAP” – battalions of propagandists and cybertroopers had launched two phases of assault on the DAP, viz:

Firstly, the outrageous and preposterous allegation of the non-existent DAP-financed “Red Bean Army” of 3,000 cybertroopers with a budget from RM100 million to RM1 billion in past six years to demonise and character-assassinate Umno/BN leaders; and

Secondly, the baseless and malicious campaign about electoral fraud in DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) elections last December, culminating in the booklet of lies by the fictitious “Father Augustus Chen” making two major allegations, namely “753 delegates (mostly Indians)” not notified of the DAP Congress and “543 phantom delegates (mostly from Penang)”, when both are complete lies and falsehoods.

In the two phases of the “DDD” campaign, the battalions of Umno/BN propagandists and cybertroopers had concocted and recycled hundreds of lies and falsehoods against the DAP especially in the Umno/BN media Utusan Malaysia and New Straits Times.

The “DDD” campaign has not ended or abated after the DAP decision for CEC re-election to pre-empt continued abuse of power by the Registrar of Societies (RoS) at the behest of the Umno/BN political “masters”, particularly the deregistration of the DAP.

The Umno/BN’s “DDD” campaign has now entered a third and even more deadly phase to demonise/destroy the DAP, with

*continued concoction and regurgitation of lies and falsehoods against the DAP, with scores of lies and falsehoods concocted and regurgitated in the past three days just in Utusan Malaysia and New Straits Times;

*widening of the DDD battlefield from hitherto Bahasa Malaysia and English media to Chinese and Tamil media; and

*official blessing given to the DDD campaign by none other than the Prime Minister and UMNO President, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who jumped into the chorus of baseless attacks on the DAP within 48 hours of the the DAP decision on CEC re-election, regurgitating the DDD lies and falsehoods against the DAP.

Najib alleged that the DAP is not a “credible political party” by trotting out the lie that DAP had failed to notify 753 delegates of the DAP Congress of the CEC elections last December, when he should know that this lie of “753 delegates (mostly Indians)” not notified of the CEC Congress last December, together with the equally meretricious lie of “547 phantom delegates (mostly from Penang)” were total concoctions without any proof whatsoever.

DAP is therefore facing a “life-and-death” test as the Umno/BN “Demolish/Destroy DAP” battalions are finalising devilish plans and marshalling their forces to try to destroy the DAP once and for all.

I don’t know if DAP is facing “life-and-death” struggle BUT the chance of REFORM is under very real life-and-death struggle.. DAP is the bed-rock of struggle of reform, its support base the bedrock of it. You EVEN shake that bed-rock and the rest of reform movement cannot go forward and if it cracks, if it just even backtrack, the probability of reform is almost zero…

These vicious attacks on DAP is because the foundation on the other side, race, religion, corruption, has been hit hard and even if it still holds together, it won’t if it can’t move forward either. These vicious attacks is the attacks on the foundation, back-door and underbelly attacks, are ATTACKS on the very solid foundation of REFORM..

Common Brother Lim, this talk of DDD seems exaggerated – as if DAP is trying to nail its own coffin while lying inside it.

    Mr Lim,

Firstly, I do admit that I was a bit surprised to hear Najib quoting the non-existent and fictional Father Augustus Chan.

Perhaps, Najib Razak , Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley have a lot in common. They all live in large residences and have an entourage which feed them fantasies to live on.

Secondly, in light of your above observations, Najib’s false statements are clearly the start of a new phase in DDD.

I offer what little solace I can by letting you know that there are many Malaysians who have stayed DAP supporters thru thick and thin.

In my view, the only people who may tricked by this third phase of DDD will be the rural folk in BN strongholds.

Personally, I doubt that BN’s use of the Chinese and Tamil news media will work at anytime anywhere but MCA and MIC might get some mileage in some rural areas.

Countering the negative perceptions of the rural Malay folk could be a bit harder for DAP on it’s own. Here, the momentum and synergy from GE13 should be maintained and built upon with PAS and PKR.

Allowing any one of the coalition partners in Pakatan to work a rural area all on it’s own is not necessarily a good strategy as it can be construed to show a lack of unity amongst the Pakatan partners.

Despite the fact that GE14 is still some years away, there is an urgent need for Pakatan partners to unify under one common flag. Please do not delay on this matter.

With so many big fishes caught telling lies, isn’t it an opportunity to net all of them at one go?. Alas, I forget that the net has got big holes.

What do you expect from a government that resort to illegitimate means to keep itself in power? Where politicians and civil servants alike took the carrot and stick approach not to serve the public as central to policy but of those in power?

Politicians, particularly those from UMNO Baru, are known for their arrogance and staying ‘above the law’ as their given entitlements. From nepotism to cronyism to unlawful abduction and detention, the flouting of traffic rules, to assault and even murder, they have done it all and more, shamelessly at that.

Will these politicians of shame ever learn anything from their misdeeds or even bother how the world will look at them? Nothing, hardly. These are to remain as the hallmark of Malaysia under the UMNO Baru government so long as it remains in power.

Obviously hammering dap is top priority for umno – something more urgent and certainly more important than dealing with the escalating crimes and shootings in the country.

These monkeys in umno are absolutely hopeless.
