From every tragedy there can be hope. Teo Beng Hock death while in custody of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Shah Alam will be a defining moment in the history of our Nation. In time when we look back in history this will stand in the memory of our Nation as the moment when Malaysian all together, inspired by the helplessness they feel under the leadership of Najib and the Barisan Regime, sought to throw off the yoke that has been on their shoulders for far too long a time. From the crisis in confidence of the Police, the Judiciary and now MACC, from the revulsion felt for the greed of the corrupt Barisan politicians, the Rakyat awaits leaders of good faith from the Pakatan Rakyat to seize the moment now and turn the Nation from impending mass destruction through riots and destruction towards a path of a disciplined, controlled and sensible dismantling of the Barisan coalition that will surely culminate in its demise by the next General Election. To ponder the survival of UMNO/Barisan under present circumstances defies logic.

The Rakyat hungers for leadership from you – but more pressing it hungers for leadership that will reinstate values, respects and nobler national aspirations that will never see the need of another Teo Beng Hock to shock us from our apathy. Failure to do so by Pakatan Rakyat’s leaders is not an option.

    MERDEKA. MERDEKA. MERDEKA.

This was bunch of idiots and hooligans. What ever the cause this bunch of people are indirectly responsible and they have acted in the most irresponsible way. They have repeating the basic right to have the lawyers around and they do it in the most unusual hours. All these are unnecessary other than to put fears on the people.

All these have to be stopped immediately.

What should these conducts being keep going that was most regretted.

Some one must stop this to go on.

    Another sad tragedy.

PDRM and MACC basically were given too much power causing them to act against human right.
Both agencies have turn into weapon of BN to get rid of their enemy.
We need police and anti-corruption agencies to safeguard us and property, but in turn they are taking away our lives.
Like Malay says” Harapkan pagar, pagar makan padi”!

Musa and Ahmad Said have long time been controversiol candidates for top post in these 2 agencies. They are lack of leadership but full of conspirations. Their boss, Kerismuddin and Nazri big mouth are even worse!

I really don’t know what to do about.

Can public pressure lead to reformation in these 2 agencies? Might not, and ultimately some small potatoes from MACC will turn out to be scapegoats to cover the critism from public.

PR need to unite for country good. I am very sad to see PAS trying to betray our trust for political benefits with UMNO! Something need to do about. PR must be strong or otherwise dictactorship from UMNO will return. This is just the begenning, if PR not unite, UMNO will continue to bully and victimised you. More innocent lives going to be sacrifies along the conspiration!

PAS please wake up! When PR weaken, neither DAP, PKR or PAS will benefit. Neither Malaysian as well!

Please unite for Malaysian good, please!

When Najib became the UMNO chief in Perak he plotted the downfall of Perak.

Then he replaced Muhammad Muhammad as the Selangor UMNO chief. And a plot to topple the Selangor state government was hatched. They tried to bring down the Selangor MB over the matter of cows and car; then they arrested Teresa Kok on Khir Toyo’s instigation. Now, the MACC, even before a police report has been made, was sent in to intimidate the Pakatan politicians in a heavy-handed manner. Not only were the DAP politicians being targetted but also the people who received the assistance.

This has become a new tactic of coercion by the BN goons. Anyone who is associated with the targetted victim – friends, lawyers and business associates – will be roughened up and intimidated. This insidious action was first started during Anwar’s 1st corruption-and-sodomy trial. Next, the lawyer, who was defending the Commercial crime division chief who was charged with corruption, was also being asked to submit his income statement and was man-handled [You can read this in RPK’s blog]. Also the first few days of the MACC’s existence was also marked with the assault of one of the UMNO warlords from the opposite camp to admit his role in money politics. From birth itself, the MACC was a problem child and had exhibited a violent streak.

This is a clear sign that Najib wants to create a crisis in Selangor and nail the Pakatan by any foul means. And he has the cooperation of certain Pakatan’s politicians to set the ball rolling. But unfortunately for him, the MACC has botched the job and committed a murder, and this has given a respite to Pakatan to put their house in order.

The MACC has now become a treacherous monster and a political hatchet outfit for Najib’s dirty jobs.

YB Lim, you and other from PR must serious do something to stopped this culture of harassment and unprofessional conduct of MACC. The question here is very simple, why conduct the interview at such long and well into the early morning ? Was this to deprive some one sleep so that one will crump under pressure? Was this the normal tactic use to scare people away from opposition?

This was no uncommon and was this necessary.

PR has been voted in by the people and you must really work hard instead of internal quarreling all the while.

Some thing must be done before the people lost confident in PR.

“They all serve the interests of Umno and the Prime Minister.” as quoted from RPK’s article. Any one not believe in what this man has said?

PR must provide strong leadership NOW or never to get a fair trial on this young man death. We all know all this while MACC has been hooligan in their conducts but nothing that PR can do. Yes Malaysia need some one to died for real action. Now we have one. We expect action be taken or more life to lost? Do we have any future if all these young man was tortured and threaten.

DAP and PR must act now. A forceful leader must be shown. We just can’t let this culture to go one like nobody business.

MACC suppose to an agency to move this society toward corruption “free” but it has turn up to be the tool of the Power of the day. It has to be stopped and PR must act on this as the top agenda rather than quarrel over who get what and what position.

YB LIM, you have fight for justice all this while and please set this as your last agenda in your political career. Make it as your top priority to set the record straight, we can’t let this agency marajalella on what they want and serve the masters. Life is short, but it need not to end that way.

The likely outcome to any inquiry would be like Steve Biko’s murder.

On 21 August, 1977, anti-apartheid campaigner Steve Biko was arrested at a police roadblock under the Terrorism Act No 83 of 1967. He suffered a major head injury while in police custody, and was chained to a window grille for a day. On 11 September, 1977 police loaded him in the back of a Land Rover, naked, and began the 1,500 km drive to Pretoria to take him to a prison with hospital facilities. However, he was nearly dead due to the previous injuries. He died shortly after arrival at the Pretoria prison, on 12 September. The police claimed his death was the result of an extended hunger strike. He was found to have massive injuries to the head, which many saw as strong evidence that he had been brutally clubbed by his captors.

Because of his fame, news of Biko’s death spread quickly, opening many eyes around the world to the brutality of the apartheid regime. His funeral was attended by over 10,000 people, including numerous ambassadors and other diplomats from the United States and Western Europe. The liberal white South African journalist Donald Woods, a personal friend of Biko, photographed his injuries in the morgue. Woods was later forced to flee South Africa for England, where he campaigned against apartheid and further publicised Biko’s life and death, writing many newspaper articles and authoring the book, “Biko”.

The following year, on 2 February 1978, the Attorney General of the Eastern Cape stated that he would not prosecute any police involved in the arrest and detention of Biko. During the trial, it was claimed that Biko’s head injuries were the result of a self-inflicted suicide attempt, not those of any beatings. The judge ultimately ruled that a murder charge could not be supported partly because there were no witnesses to the killing. Charges of culpable homicide and assault were also considered, but because the killing occurred in 1977, the time limit for prosecution had expired.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which was created following the end of minority rule and the apartheid system, reported in 1997 that five former members of the South African security forces had admitted to killing Biko were applying for amnesty. On 7 October, 2003 the South African Justice Ministry officials announced that the five policemen accused of killing Biko would not be prosecuted, because there was insufficient evidence, and because the time limit for prosecution had elapsed.

I say for this incident, no matter what the reason, MACC top officers and the investigating team should be fired, pension taken away and blacklisted.

At the crux of a lot of problem is ‘tidak apa’ – tidak apa that Khir Toyo is not investigated, tidak apa that PKFZ costing us 12.5b, and end up with tidak apa this guy is dead.

Let the message be send out to MACC up and down, ‘tidak apa’ can cost them their jobs and pensions.. See how tidak apa then….

MACC is lying through its teeth.
When a witness finished his statement he will be asked to sign it and the time and date will also be stated against the signature.
Did Teoh sign the statement? If so when? If he had not signed the statement then we can assume that he was STILL under questioning when he ?????? (fell, jumped, pushed).
Why would anyone want to lie on the couch of her persecutors? Why sleep in a lion’s den?
Any sane person would flee the MACC devils

Needless to say, UMNO, MACC (or whatever you call it), the police, and forensic unit (lazy and incompetent department by international standards) will cover the case up, just like what they have done in many cases involving UMNO politicians and their cronies. The photo already shows some signs that he was subjected to torture during interrogation. Why should anyone be questioned up to 4 am other than to torture him? I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Teoh’s family and his wife-to-be. This is a terrible experience for them. May his soul rest is peace, and may his death in the hands of UMNO not go in vain. CURSES to UMNO politicians and may God’s SEVERE PUNISHMENT be on all of you for your cruelty and greed beyond humane standards. May this incident be made known to the whole world to show the evil and corruption of UMNO.

    Condolences RIP!

As mentioned earlier, the MACC Act has created a Secret Police as they do not have a Code of Practice and at the disposal of the PM.

The MP in the Parliament who had endorsed such ACT should partly be responsible to allow the over-grown of power without putting in any monitoring body on to such a Monster!

Too Many ACTS with BIAS had been endorsed by the Parliament betraying the Rights of Malaysians!!

The Parliament needs to call forward an RCI for a thorough investigation as there is no Standing Body who has the power to investigate MACC. This is a serious case NOT ONLY because of the Death but also an obvious running of MACC without Code of Practice – the Basic for any Disciplinary Force!

From personal experiences, such kind of Abusing of Rights and Procedures are also commonly found in the Police/KUP/AG.

MALAYSIA HAS BEEN RUNNING WITHOUT RULES AND REGULATIONS ON RIGHTS OF PEOPLE FOR TOO LONG!!

RPK has a very interesting theory: MACC was trying to get TBH to finger his boss ala Spanish Inquisition. They threatened to throw him off the building; held him by his pants and dangled him out of the window. Alas his pants were not Levi denims; they gave way, torn as you can see in the pictures. He fell to his death. Plausible, yes and one of the most logical theories, but impossible to prove if the perpetrators cover up. If there was CCTV, they would have destroyed the evidence.

Please call on Najib bin Razak to CALL OFF HIS DOGS.

“Another thing…….wouldn’t someone that was just being “interrogated” would want to just go home rather than still stick around the filthy area in Macc?”

Sean … his registration is today … some more wanna rest in the MACC office? Even if he wanted to really rest, that means he was ‘interviewed’ till he was so tired (3 am)? Wow … no need to wanna go back, rest, shower then get the new missus for registration huh?

Maybe, he was indeed sleeping at the MACC premises then Teoh has a problem with sleep walking

    Mr Lim,
My hearfelt condolence to Teoh’s family. If you were to permit me to use the foulest languange on MACC, I would do it here.
But out of respect for you, I restrained myself.
    Yes,
I AGREE THAT MACC IS ONLT PICKING ON OPPOSITION.
Let me ask them have they arrested any one in the following cases:
    Lingam tape scandal,
Zakaria istana, Toyol’s multimillion palatial home, Khairy’s guilty in UMNO money politics,
    PKFZ scandals.
If they can’t get any of those charged, shall i say, MACC IS GOOD FOR NOTHING!!

Kugan case pun beum selesai sekarang apa sudah jadi.
Teoh a healthy young person like Kugan must die in MACC.
MACC please do your work fairly.
Investigate most of BN ADUN and ministers or MBs thoroughly like you are doing to the PR.
I believe you will get lorry loads of worm from BN leaders.

I would rather choose to convince myself that Wee Choo Keong has nothing to do with BengHock’s death because I personally do not like to see any internal rifle within Pakatan Rakyat itself.

However, I always think that Wee Choo Keong should stay away from Politics and go get married and take care of his own mother and his own wife rather than getting involved in politics again.

When Wee Choo Keong was detained under the ISA together with many other Malaysian dissidents and dissenters during 1980s, he wept in the ISA detention camp in front of the Investigation Officer from Special Branch and begged for his early release. He said that he had gotten a single mother who needed his care and his mother’s intent was for Choo Keong to stay away from politics and go find a good girl to get married. He was later on set free by the Special Branch police anyway.

However, why does Wee Choo Keong want to join the hardship-bound opposition politics of Malaysia again and then choose to serve two political masters from different camps, one from PR and another one from BN? Why doesn’t Wee Choo Keong just faithfully serve his full term as an MP of the Opposition and go get retired and quietly withdraw himself from the dirty political arena by the next General Election?

Wee Choo Keong is a real jerk … simple. Go to his blog, he got so many supporting what he is doing. Its called TRANSPARENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY. He was such a big mouth in DAP back then. Was in so much trouble when he was sued. You should have seen his face during the trial, I saw it. Now all seems clear he wanna talk so much.

If a schoolboy had “fallen” to his death from his school building, the principal and the teachers would not be able to shift the blame away from themselves. Heads would have to roll
