I am one of your supporter and touched by Gobi/ Theresa Kok/ Lim Kit Siang talk prior to election recently on the party ‘s fight for Malaysian right to improve standrad of living for all Malaysian and first class citizenship…., i also watch all the youtube regarding DAP and was impressed.

We hope the promises to the rakyat can come true such as:

1) fight for lower toll rate (especially LDP) we pay to stuck in traffic jam everyday – status – not yet done.

2) and the hottest issue now – petrol price hike – status – worsen with Abdullah annoucement…even with the rebate or incentives still we need to pay an increase of appx 30% petrol hike…

3) food price increase without any control – with petrol price increase …well….food price will soar and squeeze our standard of living

4) with the poor standard of living – social ills especially ah long/ robbery cases will be frequent and tough to fight…

5) revision of the objective of NS program to youth – as a tax payee, we don’t think the NS program help to curb youth ills…waste money…spend wisely (upgrade our transportation situation)…hope you pay a visit to golden triangle area (bukit bintang)/ pudu/ central market on friday onward till Sunday and you will understand our feeling on social ills

6) and many many more….

Maybe this is what umno-bn supporter wanted…a petrol increase and many to come. Stupid isnt it?
Well, since you support umno-bn…you have given them the green light to do what ever they like. To all those umno-bn supporter… i’m glad that you enjoy all the naik harga.
Hey, you know what … umno-bn is dying by the day.

My wish is that all the descendants of those people who voted for BN on 8.3.08 are to be born without anuses and rectums, so that they have to defecate through their mouths— the way BN leaders are doing.

I think up to this stage the Pakatan Rakyat has made the moves to benefit the rakyat but many of these had been shot down or sabotaged by UMNO who members are basically rent seekers and acorrupted bunch of crooks and any angle you look or say anything they like, they are liars. There are hundreds if not thousands of misfeasance comitted by UMNO and yet the rakyat is sleeping but fortunately some of us woke up when we saw the UMNO head sleeping.
The state of the country as what it is today is no fault of DAP or any of the Pakatan Rakyat parties, but without them we would have been worst off, The blame lies squarely on UMNO and their running dogs which should also share some of the blame. Sleep with a devil and you will never be a Saint even if you try your best to behave. The other party to blame is ourselves for foolishly voting them in all these years until the country becomes dry and then only some of us open our eyes and inspite of that the devil is given another 5 years to continue sucking our blood.

    Hi Kit,

Will DAP look to forming an economic council to study the economics of what is happening, and its impact. This petrol and electricity hardship is going to affect us very severely. Inflation and crime goes along together, I think. Society is going to feel this one. I hope that AAB sleeps well.

In the short term, even if PR takes over Govt, there’s nothing much can be done in the short & medium term. The recovery process will take maybe 30-50 years.

Malaysia already so far left behind in the world, near rock bottom! Otherwise, do you really think our PM would let go off subsidy, etc. M’sia’s condition is VERY CRITICAL now!! Might even be declared emergency soon!! All those Ministers coming out to convince people that it’s not as serious, well, that’s what they have to say. It’s their job! BUT, can we really trust them? Be prepare in the next coming 5-10 years for turbulence!

Oppositions & BN should sit down, put their differences aside and work together! You are chosen to serve the people, not own political party’s interest or your own selfish lifestyle!

Let’s do something! Don’t just talk or protest!

the fact is there are still ppl strongly support BN, i met a guy and we talked over the petrol hike, he start to divert the topic to PKR promises of reducing the assessment that promised, 50% cut. i told him to be patience as S’gor govn may not have the money yet as the way the BN rep spend our money like their own money, S’gor may be left with little resources to manage.

i believe PR is definitely 1000 times better than BN when come to corruption and transparency.

let’s hope we maintain this culture for the better of rakyat.

I can’t really understand why the new chosen representative government still being labeled as oppositions..

They are the governments, the one that opposed them are the oppositions.

As for revamping Malaysia, what I have to say is we are very very behind in terms of development. It’s a joke on the Federal Government with their “Mega Projects” & “Malaysia Plan”. The current condition are like trying to plug the holes of a sinking ship…

As the elites (they know who they are) are envy till green in their ass, stop fighting over some no-man island & put the time, effort & resources to the people.

The country have vast of resources & raw materials. They are plenty of skilled & intelligent people in the country. The government are just shutting them out.

    Well go figure…

    cheers…

Serangkap pantun saya ungkapkan buat renungan hari Keputeraan DYMM

    TANGISAN BAHTERA MERDEKA

    Tahun ini rakyat menderita
    Cuti Keputeraan tiada makna
    Rasa sedih tidak terkata
    Hidup perit kian terasa

    Mandat pemerintah membela kita
    Sedihnya bukan itu yang terasa
    Kompromi kroni kian menjala
    Hilang semua erti merdeka

    50 tahun kita merdeka
    Tapi kemiskinan mejela jela
    Kerna kos hidup mengila gila
    Bukan esok masih ada

    Melayar dalam jauh sejarah kita
    Teresak esak berat terasa
    Apakah esok masih ada
    Itulah tangisan bahtera merdeka

I was at a coffeshop, the hawkers and odd job workers are pretty welcome with the fuel price increase and electricity increase.

“umno-bn supporter wanted…a petrol increase and many to come. Stupid isnt it?”

The philosophy is that with this increase nobody will benefit from government subsidy.

Many of these hawkers has been brainwashed or what. Malaysian have to kill their kids or sell their babies if the cost of living is getting higher and higher. All the elites will move out to earn more, or shift their operation to other countries.

Even Mat Rempit have to resort to crime in order to support their hobbies. Bank, Money changer shop and Gold Jewelry shop will soon be robed as people are push to do the crime. Malaysian are then asked by the PM to change lifestyle, they switch to motorbike which is more prone to accident. When a motorcyclist died due to higher chance of accident, the chances of widow and orphan will be rampant. There is no endowment for widow or orphan, they need to go to the street for vice activity, selling drugs, and become criminals.

Is there any future for Malaysia?

BN has just thrown a bomb shell by a hefty raise in petrol price. It is the suddenness of carrying out such a drastic measure that is arousing national suspicion as to what is the genuine hidden purpose of AAB for taking what seemingly a self-destructive move.
    .
Is it a calculated move to stir up economic havoc in the country that an eventual emergency has to be declared so that AAB can continue to rule?

    Dear All,

I read with interest the last when the government rejected the proposal put forward by YTL Corp for the high speed rail track from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. One of the major reasons for the rejection was that the government is unwilling to throw some RM8 billion into the project. In short the government is on an austerity drive. The question is why the government is avoiding a one time capital investment of RM8 billion that improves the country’s land transport infrastructure when the country is already spending five times as much (prior to petrol prices revision) in a single year that yield no long term economic benefits?

In the newspaper today, we read that former Prime Minister Mahathir commented that Malaysia is flushed with money and able to continue subsidizing the petrol prices and a gradual increase would have been a better option going forward.

Proper planning on usage of government funds would be the right way going forward.

  18. #18 by blink4blog on Friday, 6 June 2008 - 12:42 pm

could not agree more… our government is cheating us including themselves of the current issues of our society. i was anxious to see that the previous Selangor government has built a redundant fountain at the entrance of my housing estate just before the election and now its a total waste of money!

I expect arrests of fuel-hike protesters and political opponents to follow Badawi’s “Black Wednesday”. Then parliamentary rule would be suspended and umno can then rule by decree for another 500 years. And the Old Man of Kepala Batas will be laughing all the way to the bank.

On Feb 12, AAB said that parliament won’t be dissoved the next day; On Feb 13, AAB asked Agong to dissolve the parliament..

On June 3, Shahrir said that fuel price won’t increase till august; On June 4, AAB announced the exorbitant fuel price increase..

Which kind of govt is this??? A liar govt where things can change overnight??

  21. #21 by bngg on Friday, 6 June 2008 - 1:18 pm

The fuel hike should have been done by stages but then a hike is supposedly a near impossible or low….. especially when the country is one of the world’s oil producer.

Greedy is the word to describe the fuel hike, I guess?

So we the hardworking tax payers have to cough up for their bank balances….to keep them cushy mah. Hey thats what we have been doing all this while so ….no change.

You know like you i am also frustrated, we are marginalized (all three races except for UMNOputras and a few ex-UMNO people) we tried to get them out…but we have failed somewhere.

All MPs should sit together and figure out a proper way to go about this situation. Don’t tell me the only way to solve the price increase issue is to change the govt. Change of govt, but still if mindset “dont want to lose” still would not work. It is not so simple to say that if govt shift to PR prices will go down. What should be done now is PR leaders should get their acts straight, be respectable leaders and deal with the situation accordingly. Instill to the people that PR are merely not “opposing the BN” and doing whatever they can to do that. As an observer because it is getting confusing because Pakatan are not really in it together, all 3 parties going about their own ways with dealing with this! What happened to “pakatan”. Come on, get your act back together PKR, DAP, PAS, show us that you are what you say. Dont confuse the rakyat even more than they already are.

only stupid ppl will think that oil as neccessity to follow market price. if these so-called economist and “rich” ppl stay in bungalow own 2-3 cars think subsidy is bad, then how about our jobs to follow markeet rate aka US rate. engineer should be 5k USD, clerk to be USD 2k. a wanton mee is rm10-rm20 (follow HK rate) I would say! oil by right should be used in malaysia only, foreigners can’t travel to KL and buy bulk and travel back home. that’s open market and ought to follow global market price. If the consumption is local and in the country, it is closed market and should be make affordable to everyone with some price. Plus, malaysia is net exporter, it’s stupid to charge its own citizens to global rate to make them suffer! That’s why gov decision to ban 50km is good. but to naik harga it’s to punish the citizens. most textbook are tailored to suit western culture. they are not suitable for malaysia!

AAB is not fit to be leader. he should resign, malaysia is in turbulent times and certainly a leader like him will only drag the country to even deeper shit, just like germany leaders in interwar days before hitler!

  30. #30 by jeff.c on Friday, 6 June 2008 - 4:09 pm

Everywhere I read is about situation getting worst.

There are simply not many options for rakyat:

Sell car and downgrade to motorcycle? But crime is rampant, mat rempits is turning into criminals. So it is not safe riding motorcycle. So to make sure I can continue to work, this is not an option.

Leave the car at home and take public transport? Simply not an option, because it is a fact that our public transport sucks.

The only option is to downgrade our car to kancil manual 600c. To save petrol cost.

Also problems from inflation and the chain-effect from this petrol hike? Price increase, people can buy less and consume less. And interest rate hike?

The government is need to think in correct perspective that we are oil exporting country. And Petronas is never a private company because no private company get to drill oil for free!

I am in the same line of thought with JeyS that they need the money to maintain their lifestyle and they are taking the money from us, the rakyat.

They have lost integrity and not even feel shameful of their act even it is publicly disclosed.

As a net exporter of oil Malaysia should be better off with the rise of oil prices in the world market. The question is who has profited from the price increase and where has the extra revenue gone? Petronas has to be accountable to the rakyat and open its books to the public

    Hi YB Lim

I am no sure how PR or even DAP can help us solve this petrol hike and electricity rise issue, but it is really killing us. And the hike was done not end of the month but beginning of the month. some of us budget our money for the month, and some of us do not even have enough for savings. And now petrol hike, not 10 sen or 20 sen, 78 sens, omg…. where are we going to find the extra money to pay for the extra petrol price???
I am in that ‘some of us’ category and I really do not know how to survive in Malaysia.
YB Lim, please help… I am not sure if the street protest will help, we did it a couple of years ago with blood shed but the government did not budge.
I really do hope that YB Lim can sit together with other leaders and come up with a solution for the suffering rakyat

  39. #39 by mauriyaII on Friday, 6 June 2008 - 6:20 pm

The CEO of Petronas says that RM335.7 billion was paid to the government since its inception. Prior reports show that Petronas makes a net annual profit of about RM80 billion.

As one of the millions of taxpayers whose contribution made it possible for Petronas to be set up, how was the RM335.7billion spent? Were the accounts all these years scrutinised by competent independent auditors of repute? If money from Petronas’ earnings was used to subsidize fuel prices in the country, how much was the subsidy per year?

How was the rest of the money spent? Any honest, transparent government that respects accountablity would disclose all to the rakyat but since it hasn’t during the Mahathir era and now it is obvious what a rotten and corrupt government we have.

How has the rakyat benefitted from the inception of Petronas other than the financing of the highest, longest and biggest projects in Malaysia (if not the whole world) to boost up the image of one meglomaniac?

Even the monopoly of Petronas and its petrol station outlets throughout the country is in the hands of one race who are subserviant to the Umnputras, not to be equated with ordinary honest Malays. Other qualified Malaysians are insignificant in the Petronas formulae. They do not count!

Fuel prices have not only been hiked up exorbitantly but it is to reviewed monthly! One brilliant minister has even disclosed that the petrol price might be hiked further to RM4 per litre.

It is well and good to take unilateral action (only the Cabinet decided) but did these so-called caring and educated ministers take the poor rakyat’s plight in their decision making process.

The cabinet decided on the price hike only after a mere 4 hours deliberation. Why couldn’t they convene a meeting of the cabinet after they had received a report from a special committee comprising members of the academia, professionals, economists and NGO’s?

It is not enough to come up with knee-jerk decisions that have a profound impact on the lives of the rakyat.Talking about CHANGING LIFESTYLES is meaningless when the government does not change its penchant for grandiose schemes that only enrich the already filthy rich Umnoputras at the expence of the poor rakyat of all races.

A thorough review of the hike in fuel prices is necessary and should be taken without any delay so as to halt the accompanying escalation of prices of consumer products and services. The imminent hike in TNB tarif is another jolt to the taxpayer.

Why are these privatised monopolies (TNB and the other power suppliers to TNB) subsidised when they are making hefty annual profits? In the first public utilities should not have been privatised. This is one of legacies of the great Mahathir era. PIRATISE everything for personal benefit and that of cronies who are worse than the dreaded pirates of the Malacca Straits.

Can Mahathir, Pak Lah, his cabinet and his coterie of advisers sleep in peace when the majority of the rakyat suffer due to their inept and ad hoc decisions?

  40. #40 by i_love_malaysia on Friday, 6 June 2008 - 6:26 pm

It is a question of to die early or slightly later for the UMNO-BN govt , so they chose to die later by increasing the fuel price and in-directly every thing else!!! you may ask why they took such a drastic action, the answer is they have no more choice, if they dont implement this, the pensioners and EPF members who reached retirement age are not going to get their money and for those ASN holders are not going to get 10% dividents etc. , at least UMNO-BN govt can spin it as this is the decision most responsible govt will take in order to avoid even more hardships etc for Rakyat, they will never tell you the truth that they had wasted billions of ringgits over the years and as a result of that, there’s no saving for the country even though we are a net oil exporting country all this while even up to today. It is a sad sad day for all Malaysian regardless of what ever differences that we have with each other!!!

Bad. Very Bad. Poor management. Extreme short sightedness and pure stupidity. Unforgivable arrogance.

The increase in petrol affects every Malaysian rich & poor. Young & old. It affects all races and religions just the same. They may have at last unintentionally succeeded in their quest to unite the country. We are united in our hatred, united in our pain.

I always try to find the silver lining to any situation. To view the glass as half full instead of half empty. To be positive, especially in situations where the circumstances are beyond my control.

A RM50 fill up will take less time then before. More quality time at home with the wife and kids on weekends. Getting back to basics and focusing on things that matter.

Perhaps the present stupidity and arrogance will help unite us as a people. Unite us as a nation. Transcend ethnicity, creed and religion. Remind us that we have more things in common. That our troubles are all the same. Our concerns are similar.

I only hope that we are mature enough as a society, and proud enough as a people to avoid unnecessary anarchy and violence. I hope we can use this as an opportunity, use these strong feelings and emotions to bring about positive change.

    Silent strength. United people.

Don’t forget to blame Noh Mohammed and Amirsham too. In fact just blame them all.

Last weekend I saw several government vehicles being used at the beach. Surely not on “official business”. More for private use to take the extended family out for a fun day in the sun.

Now that petrol has gone up, I am sure there will be many more “outings”. Maybe even petrol theft from government vehicles.

Are there any controls in place?

Non oil-exporting countries such as China and Indonesia enjoy a lower petrol price than Malaysia, which is an oil-exporting country. Shame on our government!

The government must not ask the rakyat to pay the price for economic mismanagement. It must be responsible for the mess it created.

Having been bruised by Tsunami 308 and with Pak Lah’s premiership hanging in the balance, no political party in its right mind will do anything destructive to hasten the party’s demise. The current petrol price hike merely reflects the desperate financial position of the government. In fact, the review and withdrawal of some “9th Malaysian Plan” projects lately were a prelude to petrol price hike and bad omens of a difficult time to come.

The increase in fuel is inevitable and Malaysians can’t always think they will have this priviledge. However, having said that, it’s prime time for the govt to remove excise duties or extremely high taxes that have burdened the people at the expense of Proton. It’s not an option but rather something that the Government should seriously look into. The removal of taxes is necessary to ensure that the Rakyat can still afford cars and at the same time, provide an opportunity for foreign automotive companies to invest in Malaysia. We’ve lost this great opportunity to be the ASEAN automotive hub couple of years ago to Thailand because the government are so slow to grow. Further, I believe that with the removal of such duties, it will make us more competitive in the eyes of the foreign companies and possibly, even increase tax revenue to the country. And please please please, can the government stop talking and politicking and get back to actionable work!.

Lets lead by example “kepimpinan melalui teladan”

PM and his cabinet to use fuel efficient car like kancil, dont drive fast (as suggested) as it will consume too much fuel as such wasting tax payers’ money, cut allowances, fly economy class, no spouse allow for outstation travel, no maid, no 5 star hotel….dare you.

This should also apply to our Agong and Sultan as Agong also suggest Rakyat to cut cost.

in a way i agree that imported cars have to be priced closer to local cars like Proton and Perodua, E.g Vios and Persona should be around the same price.

However, we need to prevent wastage as well, meaning we should not have too much cash outflow. Cheap cars will result in us changing cars more often. A simple estimate of 7bln RM is spent on new motor vehicles in Malaysia each year. If we are to fully import all cars, it would lead to depreciation of Ringgit Malaysia in the long term, causing even more inflationary pressure. More cars = More traffic congestions.

My point being, cars of similar classes should be priced around the same price and no preferential treatment for national cars. Let the market forces deal with it.

Maybe a quota system to allow car replacement every 5yrs or more? tax all cars at a specific rate, but allow tax paid to be refunded when you file your tax if you follow the 5yr schedulte. This system isnt that hard to implement. We already getting tax rebates on computers every 3 years. In this way, it will minimise wastage. And the rich people can buy as often as they want and their taxes can be made to good use.

    Just a suggestion..

Totally agree with Badcliq. Also, read Tony Pua view about economy. Tony is the person with reason within DAP. I do hope more MPs will think like Tony. We need to stop the protest and come up with the solid solution. I’m actually very tired with DAP continous street protests. I regretted donating RM350 to DAP.

    badcliq Says:

This time fuel increase, maybe can look for low cc car, but bet not so long, we will face another hike fuel, untill that time we all ride bicycle la.. how good ride bicycle at highway dont need to pay toll and accident is zero. cause the toll company bancrupt

Rebate of RM 625 to vehicles lower than 2.0 CC
Rich get the rebate at the expense of middle and low income earner who can’t afford Camry 2.0, Civic 2.0, Nissan 1.8 (These car cost RM 100K above) why are they enjoying it at the expense of middle and low income earner.

Middle & Low income earner who have 2 kids will suffered the most. They can save RM 300 per month, now they have to reduce that saving amount to pay for the increase in children school bus, fuel increase, and electricity bills. Having said that the food prices will ultimately increase, the service and replacement of the vehicles he or she is driving. Meaning to say, M’sian (middle and low income) will no longer be able to save enough for their childrens education (esp. for family with 2 kids). Our govt. did not provide full education sponsor to non malay they are using quota system.

During the 80’s when Petronas is making money, there’s too much wastage we spent on white elephant project instead of infrastructure to improve living standard such as transportation, interstate train to link all the state with bullet train system like in Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore. Now in the millenium we are suffering because this “tidak apa” attitude can no longer sustain itself.

PL made the right decision, the race who suffered the most from this decision is the Malay themselves who have plenty of kids to take care, but there is no protest from PAS, or within UMNO.

As we speak Crude Oil spike to USD139.19…..Isreal will Obliterate Iran Nuclear Dream….its just when.

First DAP MUST approach Tengku Razaleigh and Muhiddin to join DAP. Exploit their difference with Anwar. Ku Li the most knowledgeable with Petronas and economy….even surpass that of Anwar. bring their 20-30 MP to DAP and get Sabah/Sarawak to cross over. Don’t wait….be the Change maker for goodness sake.

Malaysia needs to Plunge Billions into Public transport Infrastructure as a one systems item and not like Tun Dr Senile 3 types of Light rail in KL…….Stupidity + corruption = more pain to Malaysian.

If all else fail…keep whinging, whining….and petrol will stay the same……You see there is a few Government Linked Cronies Companies caught up in this Sub Prime, CDOs, Credit Crunch……Everything that undermines the UMNO-BN is OSA + ISA + sedition.

Simple bail out is to cut subsidy……….money is running low and with more into retirement…lets hope your EPF has value at the end of their term….or will we Malaysian close a blind eye if someone did a Runner on your money….Perhaps this person has already done a runner. Now to plug the hole something Logical needs to be implemented however unpopular.

UMNO-BN will Preserve their wealth Whatever it takes….are Malaysian in the same mind set of “whatever it takes” to Obliterate UMNO-BN??……..judging from the response as long as its not me …..life goes on. That means the hunger and anger have not reach Fever Pitch……Shit have not hit the fan yet!!

Oh by the way get ready for a Massive Plunge in KLSE on Monday …..be scared be very scared….triple digit perhaps!!…More Financial Pain as Foreigners bail out and margin calls…and more stop loss selling…..its in Crash Mode!!

the reason for the increase in Malaysia is due to the increase in the market prices.

the increase in the market price could in part be due to specualtions.

the other factor could be the manupulation of the oil exporting countries. there are only so many years of oil money left and if it is not milked for what’s it’s worth now, there won’t be another chance when alternative power source is available.

Then it all boils down to supply and demand.

    Do we have an option?

Does Malaysia exports crude oil and imports finished oil products? Can Malaysia work towards self sufficiency then such that we are insulated from market forces?

However, that can raise a new set of problems?

To this problem, what then is the solution?

    Comments appreciated.

the nincompoop leaders always say:we are the cheapest (petrol, electricity, cooking oil, sugar, flour, rice, blablabla….)in the region, one day,one day we wake-up and suddenly we realized tat we are the highest, the nincompoop leaders will say:we should be proud of ourselves for having such a high ‘standard’ of living!

The King and all ministers in the Barang naik cabinet is not Malaysian?

    The King said,
“God willing, our patience and prudence will enable us to ride this problem and emerge as a more mature and resilient people”

For 28 years, 1980 to 2008 , the rakyat has been patience and prudence, yet the government is not prudence at all with all the white elephant wastefully spent. Failed PKFZ project, shukoi jet & submarine that don’t deliver, collapsed contract in Belum, bocor of government buildings, National carriers and National car losses, biilionth of ringgit rigged by Barang Naik party, why the king did not tell the Barang Naik prime minister to be prudent in spending? instead tell the people to be prudent? the people has been prudent ever since Tun Dr M step down, nobody else can stand up and protect the people.

    Long live the King!

  62. #62 by lakilompat on Saturday, 7 June 2008 - 11:45 am

Whenever an enquiry is made, it is been delayed and postponed, why our govt. charging the rakyat more expensive national car, and charging foreigner in overseas cost, where are all the profit they gain, are they been used to subsidize cheaper item today, inflation is still there, we don’t see any improvement, we’ve been patience enough to give Pak Lah 4 yrs, but another 4 yrs to come, now after another 4 yrs do u think we still wanted to remain in patience to let incapable Barang Naik party to rule and mismanaged our country resources?

We adult can be patience but the childrens need milk money, they are young they knew nothing but hunger. They also need the saving today for their education and spending tomorrow, how can we be patience while the future of our generation is at stake?

  63. #63 by lakilompat on Saturday, 7 June 2008 - 11:48 am

At the end of the day, the Barang Naik party will use legal loopholes and announce it as an excuses like, this is an OSA the government are not obliged to answer to anyone.

Well done, hidup Barang Naik, vote for UMNO vote to kill ur babies and childrens! Hidup Hidup

  64. #64 by lakilompat on Saturday, 7 June 2008 - 11:54 am

Malaysian today have to sell or kill their babies, and beg from their government.

The poor remain poorer, the middle become poor, while the rich continue to exploit in their big car, big mansion, and expensive foods while they get to enjoy the middle and poor income earner priviledge e.g. the annual road tax rebate of RM 625 for car below 2.0 cc.

The rich, middle and poor income earner all share the same priviledge, how can the poor upgrade themselves to become middle income, and how can middle income become rich when the govt. did not prepare the infrastruture for them to growth.

Now the govt. wanted to bind all the small medium industry with soft loan, so that govt. can further exploit this sector, squeeze the oledi thin margin sector. Well, the govt. today will continue to do so, squeezing everything in order to patch the hole they’ve created due to their mismanagement and denial in the past.

The govt. is never wrong, it is the people they blame every time govt. made mistake and deplete its coffer.

Can’t we rakyat take our problem with our present government to the Agong?

Spore had the highest cost of doing business (in ASEAN) for foreigners, yet Spore had the highest FDI in ASEAN, why?? jealous lah ! Their rentals, salaries, cost of living etc are highest in ASEAN??
So, the talk of having a minimum wages (in Msia) will scare FDI away, does not water !
Can govt compel all employers to pay a minimum wage of RMXXXX ?? or an extra allowance (whatever name U want) to all employees (earning less than RM2700/mth??) to mitigate this petrol rice hike??

BN = WE SUPPORT EVERYTHING the PM says, which includes PRICE HIKES!!!!

    [deleted]

    1) WE ARE NOW PAY ONE OF THE HIGHEST PETROL PRICES IN THE OIL PRODUCING NATIONS!!!!!

    2) WHAT IS THE TRUE INFLATION RATE ? IS IT 5 % ? 8% OR 40% DOES THAT MEAN WE WILL ALL GET A HIGHER THAN INFLATION PAY RISE OR A PAY CUT ?

    3) BN MUST LOOK TO BURMA FOR EXAMPLE – BURMA ONCE WAS THE RICHEST ASEAN COUNTRY BUT DUE TO MORONS FOR A GOVT, IT NOW ONE OF THE POOREST. WE ARE GOING THAT WAY..

SOLUTION, VOTE BN OUT IN THE NEXT GE. DO NOT LIKE THEIR FORK TONGUE LIKE YOUR FACE INTO VOTING FOR THEM!!!!!!

I SAY MALAYSIA FOR MALAYSIAN, NOT FOR BARISAN NATIONAL. LET START TO TAKE BACK MALAYSIA FROM THESE EVIL MORONS AND POWER BACK TO THE CITIZENS AGAIN

With the higher fuel, prices of every other thing will also shoot up. In the end it is the ordinary rakyat who have to suffer.

As for the government ministers, they are not affected by fuel hiked. The maintainance of their governments’ car inclusive of petrol are fully being paid by the ordinary rakyat, through taxes. So how can they understand the hardship of the ordinary rakyat face with the sudden increase in petrol price?
