Samy Vellu was a great fighter, RIP

Although Samy Vellu was responsible for my seven-month suspension from Parliament in 1992, there was nothing personal between us as we have the greatest respect for each other.

Samy Vellu was a great fighter and the country as lost a great son with his demise. RIP.

Why Barisan Nasional parties of UMNO, MCA and MIC continue to glorify kleptocracy in Malaysia?

(Versi BM)

Yesterday, I asked when will UMNO, MCA and MIC condemn the monstrous mega multi-billion ringgit financial scandals like the 1MDB scandal and stop glorifying “kleptocracy at its worst” in Malaysia?

I said that the most important question in Malaysia today is not who will win the next general election but whether Malaysia will become a failed state before Malaysia’s Centennial in four decades from now – whether we continue in the present trajectory of kleptocracy or jump-start the nation-building process by getting into a new trajectory and return to the nation-building policies and principles agreed to by the founding fathers of the nation and enshrined in the Malaysian Constitution and Rukun Negara. When will UMNO, MCA and MIC condemn the monstrous mega multi-billion ringgit financial scandals like the 1MDB scandal and stop glorifying “kleptocracy at its worst”?

(Versi BM)

History has many strange and even surreal turns and twists.

Ismail Sabri is not the most suited Prime Minister for Malaysia. In fact, Ismail Sabri himself never expected to be Prime Minister. Read the rest of this entry »

UMNO “implosion” over what is right and wrong has taken more than four years to occur

(Versi BM)

The UMNO “implosion” over what is right and wrong has taken more than four years to occur.

I had asked last month whether there was nobody in UMNO who dared to say that UMNO should not seek the return of Najib Razak as Prime Minister as his years as Prime Minister when Malaysia became “kleptocracy at its worst” worldwide was nothing to be proud of.

Now it appears that I was both right and wrong.

Crying national shame that while the world is trying to get to the bottom  of the heinous global  1MDB scandal, there are still Malaysian leaders  trying to keep the veil on the 1MDB scandal and prevent open scrutiny of the scandal

It is a crying national shame that while the world is trying to get to the bottom of the heinous global 1MDB scandal, described by United States Attorney-General Jeff Sessions as “kleptocracy at is worst”, there are still
Malaysian leaders trying to keep the veil on the 1MDB scandal and prevent an open scrutiny of the scandal.

Last week, it was reported that Germany’s Deutsche Bank was being investigated by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) for its work with 1Malaysia Development Bhd, including helping
the state investor raise US$1.2 billion (RM4.95 billion) in 2014.

The probe into Deutsche Bank’s alleged
corruption and money-laundering in connection with the 1MDB scandal  is being assisted by former Goldman Sachs banker Tim Leissner, who last year pleaded guilty for his role in the massive scandal.

As a step closer to closure of the monstrous 1MDB scandal and kleptocratic Malaysia, two days left for all who had aided and abetted Najib in his kleptocratic rule – including former Ministers and MPs – to apologise to all Malaysians for being “enablers of Najib kleptocracy”

The monstrous 1MDB scandal and other 1MDB-like scandals in Felda, Felcra, Tabung Haji and MARA as part of a kleptocratic Malaysia is not any closer to a closure despite close to eight months of the historic decision in the 14th General Election for a peaceful and democratic transition of power in Putrajaya.

As a step closer to closure of the monstrous 1MDB scandal and kleptocratic Malaysia, there are two days left for all who had aided and abetted former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in his kleptocratic rule – including former Ministers and MPs – to apologise to all Malaysians for being “enablers of Najib kleptocracy”

UMNO and all present and former BN parties (including UMNO, MCA and MIC) should return RM470 million to public coffers as they had been misappropriated from 1MDB

I was earlier asked at the 47th ABIM annual congress at Universiti Islam Malaysia in Nilai about the comment of the former MCA President, Datuk Dr. Chua Soi Lek about the linkage between the MCA and the world-infamous MDB scandal, which caused Malaysians whether inside or the country to hold their heads in shame for the past few years when thinking of the infamy and ignominy of Malaysia being regarded as a global kleptocracy.

I have since seen news report that listed the RM470 million from former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s personal banking accounts and which were traceable to 1MDB, which had been diverted to Barisan Nasional parties for the 13th general election, including the following. MCA, UMNO, BN and even PAS can kiss their future goodbye if their leadership are not prepared to apologise and repent for aiding and abetting Najib in the international 1MDB corruption and money-laundering scandal which transformed Malaysia into a global kleptocracy

MCA Deputy President Datuk Wee Ka Siong said yesterday that the Barisan Nasional can kiss government and political power goodbye if there is a UMNO-PAS hook-up as 141 parliamentary seats (85 in Peninsular Malaysia and 56 in Sabah/Sarawak) out of a total of 222 parliamentary seats in Malaysia have more than 35% voters who are non-Malays and in such a UMNO/PAS hook-up, the non-Malay voters would be driven towards Pakatan Harapan.

Wee is not strictly correct as there are over 20 parliamentary constituencies in Peninsular Malaysia where the predominantly Malay voters exceed 65% and they had elected Pakatan Harapan parliamentarians in the 14th General Election on 9th May 2018.

In any event, Wee have the least political credibility to forecast the future or he would not have entered into an MCA/UMNO/PAS unholy alliance in the recent Balakang and Seri Setia by-elections in Selangor.

I would say that MCA, UMNO, BN and even PAS can kiss their future goodbye if their leadership are not prepared to apologise and repent for aiding and abetting former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak in the international 1MDB corruption and money-laundering scandal which transformed Malaysia into a global kleptocracy! The significance of the Balakong and Seri Setia by-elections

The results of the Balakong and Seri Setia by-elections in Selangor on Sept. 8 will not change the Selangor State Government but their importance and significance far outweigh the outcome of two State Assembly by-elections in Selangor.

In fact, they will be regarded as a barometer for Malaysian politics, not only in Selangor, but throughout the country for the next few years.

It is an open secret that UMNO leaders are working for an end to the Pakatan Harapan Government in as short as two years, and the outcome of the two by-elections in Selangor will by used by the UMNO leaders as a yardstick as to whether their plot and conspiracy to engineer the disintegration of the Pakatan Harapan government before its current term is a futile and even puerile one. Let the 34 Ministers and 33 Deputy Ministers under Najib from 2016 – 2018 individually speak up as to what they did in July 2016 when the US DoJ filed its largest kleptocratic litigation on 1MDB-linked assets involving Najib as “MOI” and expanded it in June 2017 to US$1.7 billion assets out of US$4.5 billion embezzlement of 1MDB funds?

Yesterday, I refuted former Johor Mentri Besar Khaled Nordin and stressed that he cannot be more wrong when he said that it was Najib Razak alone who is on trial but not UMNO.

It is not just Najib but all UMNO/BN leaders who had helped Najib to cover up the monstrous 1MDB corruption and money-laundering scandal and did nothing to purge Malaysia of the infamy and ignominy of a global kleptocracy who are on trial – which would include all the Ministers in the Najib Cabinet, the UMNO/BN MPs of the 13th Parliament as well as the leaders of UMNO and Barisan National parties.

Let the 34 Ministers and 34 Deputy Ministers from 2016-2018, UMNO/BN MPs of the 13th Parliament and national leaders come out individually now and state what they did when in July 2016, the United States Department of Justice (DoJ) filed its largest kleptocracy litigation to forfeit 1MDB-linked assets, and in June 2017 expanded the kleptocratic litigation to over US$1.7 billion 1MDB-linked assets in a 251-page indictment of embezzlement and defrauding of US$4.5 billion 1MDB funds with the Malaysian Prime Minister specifically referred to as “Malaysian Official 1(MO1)” and mentioned 36 times? Support for bipartisan investigation both into Hasanah’s appeal to CIA for support and IRI’s alleged interference in the 14GE

Former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak has called for a government inquiry into allegations that Pakatan Harapan collaborated with US think-tank International Republican Institute (IRI) to bring down the Barisan Nasional government in the 14th general election.

I myself will like to know how IRI had collaborated with PH to topple the UMNO/BN Government from power in Putrajaya, which is a most far-fetched version of what happened on May 9, 2018.

All the pollsters had not expected a change of Federal Government on May 9, 2018, completely undermining the wisdom and intelligence of the Malaysian electorate, regardless of race, religion, region or even politics. Read the rest of this entry »

Will all the Barisan MPs follow the lead by Zahid and Wee last week in a conspiracy of silence and avoid the 1MDB corruption scandal like the plague when debating in Parliament?

The most outstanding aspect of both the speeches by the first two Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament, UMNO President and Parliamentary Opposition Leader, Zahid Hamidi (Bagan Datoh) and the MCA Deputy President and MP for Ayer Itam, Wee Ka Siong, in the 14th Parliament in the current parliamentary debate is their conspiracy of silence on the greatest and worst corruption scandal in the country’s history – the monstrous international 1MDB corruption and money-laundering scandal which had given Malaysia the infamy, ignominy and iniquity of a global kleptocracy.

Will all the Barisan MPs follow the lead by Zahid and Wee last week in a conspiracy of silence and avoid the 1MDB corruption scandal like the plague when debating in Parliament, not only in the current agenda of motion of thanks for the royal address but in all future parliamentary business?
