Past MCA Presidents must be turning in their grave, or for those still living, holding their heads in shame that the 69th MCA Anniversary had degenerated into a brawl with a middling UMNO Minister instead of speaking up for 6.5 million Chinese in Malaysia, which MCA claims to represent, or better still, the 30 million Malaysians regardless of race, religion, region or politics if the MCA leadership is conscious of its national responsibilities!

It is a sorry tale that I have to remind MCA leaders to defend the MCA’s benefactor and even saviour, Robert Kuok, when the tycoon came under unfair and unwarranted attacks – I had used the term “gratuitous, baseless, malicious and savage attacks” – by UMNO Ministers and leaders, but to turn the entire 69th MCA anniversary into an attack on a middling UMNO Minister is to desecrate the memory, services and contributions of MCA founders like Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Tun Tan Siew Sin.

Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz is only a middling UMNO Minister, and if the entire MCA, with three Cabinet Ministers and claiming to be the world’s third largest ethnic Chinese political party with over one million members, cannot even handle Nazri, how are they to cope with the extremists in UMNO or more senior UMNO leaders?

MCA President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai accused Nazri of “colluding with the Opposition from within BN”.

Liow should spell it out and not hide himself in riddles – spell out how Nazri is colluding with the Opposition.

Is the MCA President asking for an emergency Barisan Nasional Supreme Council meeting to ask for the sacking of Nazri from the Cabinet for the capital crime of “colluding with the opposition from within BN”

The MCA Youth protest at the MCA anniversary took on quite a comical character.

Why don’t the MCA hold a demonstration against Nazri and UMNO at the official opening of Parliament on Monday?

Better still, let Liow spell out what the three MCA Ministers would do if Nazri continues to sit as a Minister in the Cabinet – will the three MCA Ministers boycott all Cabinet Ministers until Nazri is sacked from the Cabinet?

Or are the three MCA Ministers not even equal to a middling UMNO Minister, Nazri Aziz?
