KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 18, 2013): Gelang Patah DAP MP Lim Kit Siang today questioned how the security guard in the AmBank officer murder case received a MyKad which enabled him to work in the bank.
Lim said it is rather disturbing on how the suspect, who is a Sulawesi native, managed to circumvent the country’s security system in securing a MyKad.
“How can this person get a MyKad, and even if the MyKad is fake, how can he be allowed to open up a bank account, receive monthly salary and in fact be given a firearm license by the Home Ministry?
“Did this person also vote in the 13th General Election? Is it because the owner of the security firm is a crony of the ruling party?
“How many foreigners have enjoyed these privileges?” he questioned during his speech at the committee stage of the Budget 2014 debate in Parliament today.
The DAP stalwart also said such system has caused states such as Sabah and Sarawak to lose its sovereignty as it seems so easy for foreigners to obtain a MyKad and take over the economy.
“This directly effects the stability and the nation’s security. This also infringes the rights of the people of Sabah who live in such a rich state but are still poor,” said Lim.
Lim also congratulated the police for arresting the suspect and hopes that justice will be served.
It was reported that the main suspect in the AmBank officer murder case, who was detained on Nov 10 in Kampung Belungkor, Kota Tinggi, Johor, will be charged in court soon.
In the October 23 incident, Norazita Abu Talib, 37, was shot dead by a security guard as she was opening a safe in the bank’s vault, before he escaped with RM450,000 in cash.
On November 11, police found a pump gun believed to be the murder weapon in a drain at Jalan Subang 2, Subang Industrial Park, not far from the bank.

Everyone knows how he got his Mykad – UMNO/BN is corrupt and abuse its power. Period. No need to ask any more question..

Parliament must not be partisan in voting for cleaning up of fake or illegally obtained ICs. Or at the very least must take action to stop all such illegal practices, including heavy fines and imprisonment for all guilty parties, even wealthy employers/owners and managers of security firms and other companies/agencies that hire them without properly checking the status/background of these workers.

How did the foreigner get a MyKad ? Easy.
He had RM 300 and he knows somebody, who knows somebody else who can get it all fixed up and in a few days, he is an instant ‘local’ enjoying all privileges, maybe even BR1M.
Compare this with the many 70 year-olds who have been waiting all their lives to be a permanent resident or get their citizenship papers when they were born and bred here, lived here all their lives, contributing in some way to the country’s development.
Endless Possibilities for some Difficulties for others.

Read that news item yesterday (today) about that enterprising NRD officer who was issuing MyKads on his own on his off-days? Well he got arrested in Miri (Sarawak) yesterday and boy, his ‘business’ was very good. He did more than what the Home Minister did – he created more ‘instant citizens’ than the Minister. And the Minister didn’t even have a clue as to what was going on.
Maybe there are many, many more enterprising NRD officers around, who knows? Remember the many, many busloads of ‘foreigners’ arriving at the outskirts of Putrajaya and encamped in some remote hotels for ‘courses and training’ last year ? What happened to them?
The possibilities of more scams are very high.

Parliament must direct the home ministry, immigration and police to act. Take stern action on all who are involved in issuing fake/illegal MyKads. Deport all those who have fake/illegal MyKads. This is a very serious threat to the nation’s security and economy.

How? As easy as buying a Digi phonecard from a convenient store. For them, getting an approved credit card from the bank would prove more difficult than getting a Mykad.

The non-bumis are questioning the government, why this can happen, when the security of our country is threatened.
Except for some, do Malays question things that does not seem right in the day to day happenings?
Why prices of petrol is going up? Why Pakatan says can go down if they were to win. How are they going to do it, if they win.
Is there a necessity for BR1M if things are going well in the country, and the people are not suffering due to expensive goods?
Why are there so many foreigners now in the country?
Are our children, esp. girls, safe to go out on their own?
Do Malays ask these questions, or they continue to express the view that, the Chinese are jealous of them getting more privileges from the government, when the Chinese are earning much ‘from this country’, according to the survey by Gerakan.

2 MILLION HOT, HOT Banglas!! Many parents have already voiced their concerns. Very soon there will be more Banglas than Indians in this country. Time for MBC – Malaysian Bangladeshi Congress.

Banglas will do for Tanah Melayu politically what Suluks and Mindano fellows did for Sabah. At least the Banglas are peace loving fellows. If you look at history, they are really nothing but Indians. Being an ethnic Indian myself, I am happy Indians are gong to help out with Malaysia’s development-Again!
I will try to squeeze the grass-cutters by halving their charges for grass-cutting.
