APRIL 11 – Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad must not be feeling confident of a Barisan Nasional (BN) victory in Gelang Patah.
The former BN chief wrote today that a Lim Kit Siang win in Gelang Patah will result in racial confrontation, arguing that Chinese-Malay economic partnership will be ruined.
“Kit Siang is going to bring about conflict and antagonism between the races, to wage the Chinese to dislike and hate the Malays,” Dr Mahathir wrote in his chedet.cc blog.
“When Kit Siang decided to contest in Chinese majority Gelang Patah it is because he wanted the Chinese there and in Johor to reject working together and sharing with the Malays.
“An unhealthy racial confrontation would replace Sino-Malay cooperation which has made Malaysia stable and prosperous.”
How ridiculous is this conjecture? That an opposition win will cause racial conflict.
Is this how to scare voters to support the BN? Through fear not respect or popularity.
Is this what Dr Mahathir has to fall back to get BN to win Gelang Patah, no matter whether MCA or Umno gets to stand there?
No one should use the race card or the threat of racial conflict to win an election. This is blackmail in its purest form.
More so Dr Mahathir. Wasn’t he who said he wants to build a Bangsa Malaysia but now fears losing Gelang Patah will undo his efforts.
Malaysians will do well to ignore such silly conjectures. Such threats and mindset belongs to the past.
Malaysia and Malaysians are now a lot more mature, perhaps even more than politicians, to think that an opposition victory in one like Gelang Patah will lead to any kind of racial conflict.

When BN wins, there will be peace. If Opposition wins there will be no BR1M.
But if LKS were to win in GP this time, there will be conflict? How come there was no conflict in Ipoh Timor?

He was the man who wrote about Malay dilemma. He knew exactly what are the problems faced by Malays. He also the same man who has manipulating the weaknesses in the Malays for he own agenda. Along the line he has systematically make cronyism as a culture in Malaysia. He incorporated a system where all races are share but only restricted to his chosen group, the crony group of people.
It was just like a Ponzi scheme in the financial scam, when the masses below are filing the heat as the economy could not continue feeding the crony system

Dr M is trying to frighten off the Chinese voters so that they don’t vote for the DAP in the coming GE. However, the more he intimidates the voters, they more resolute they become. Why would peace loving people confront each other just because Kit Siang wins in Gelang Patah? Only people with ulterior motives like Dr M like to see such a situation happening. Instead of intimidating the Chinese voters, why not do a thorough soul-searching as to what drives the Chinese to the Opposition, bearing in mind the DAP had been rejected by the Chinese before. I think the DAP should fight back by enumerating his misdeeds during his 22 year rule and make known to the voters.

Just throw it back ALL to him – Where you stashed the Billions ? All races , The Rakyat would be very keen to know ! . Do not be Fool and lead by him by the nose. Go back and stick to main issues – Corruption, Altantuya, MaMak’s Billoions, Land grabbed,,, so many of their Wrongdoings,,, these Crooks just trying to downplay,,, ( ask the youngs to go back their kampongs to enlighten their elders – an eg. only etc.,,, )

With these words, Madey was admitting indirectly that Kit will win GPatah, PR will win GE13. Isn’t it? It also reflects Madey’s scared, restless state of mind, that all the wealth he got will be gone with Kit winning GPatah, PR winning GE13. Madey wants the people to be as scared as him.
The rakyat wants real progress, they will not be scared by such threats. The more BumNo BeEnd repeat such tactics, meaning the more desperate they are, and more rakyat will reject them.
It is very sad to know that after 50+ years, BumNo BeEnd didn’t grow at all, just remained in an outdated mind-set.

It looks like Kit did managed to ruffle some feathers by taking on GP. So much so it got the old man restless and looking desperate hoping for a cure-all remedy with his usual verbosity, a trademark of Mahathirism.
