Kit Siang: Reveal who ‘concocted’ PSM 6 charges

DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang has demanded that the government reveal who was behind the charges that the PSM 6 were allegedly trying to wage war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and reviving communism.

“Malaysians are entitled to ask who are the officers or politicians who had been so ‘creative’ as to concoct the heinous charge under Section 122 of the Penal Code against the PSM activists in the first instance,” Lim said in a media statement today.

“I will ask in the next Parliament session who are the officers who concocted such charges and who are their police superiors who gave the approval, and whether the advice of the attorney-general or his officers had been sought,” he said.

When the six were first detained, police officers said that they were investigated for waging war against the Agong and reviving communism ideology, which has been banned in Malaysia.

However, in response to affidavits by the PSM 6 in support of their habeas corpus application, police filed an affidavit saying the six were detained under the Emergency Ordinance for being key movers in Bersih 2.0, and not for activities related to communism.

The DAP leader added that people should question who is behind the “heinous” charges against the PSM activists.

“These persons responsible for such ridiculous charges should be publicly exposed and punished for a most gross abuses of power.”

Lim said that if Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak does not release the six detainees, he will have to face the penalty for not doing so in the next general election.

“The PM should release the PSM 6 who have been detained under the EO on the most spurious and ridiculous grounds or face the wrath of the people in the next general election,” said the DAP supremo.

Now released…Najib said out of goodwill from IGP.

    Who concocted?
    The Three Mousekeeters..with peanut balls.
    It is a gang decision.

Release of the 6 is according to rule of the law. Of course it has to be. Esp when the detention was illegal, baseless and devoid of sense and logic to begin with. The ought to hv been released much soon. So yes. It is definitely lawful and proper and right and logical, ethical and sensible to release them.

For the same reason it would definitely be lawful and proper and logical and ethical and sensible to un-murder teoh beng hock and altan. Well except that for these two people (and many others in similar position) un-murdering them is no longer a practical or workable option.

So umno, where are those communist wolves you people were crying and yelling about? Oh or have you, umno, just release them into the wild again?

I would urge the PSM6 to sue the umno gobermen for false, wrongful and malicious detention.

    The 6 sue the Govt.
    Case put on hold.
    New Govt takes over.
Case on…6 win and all awarded millions in compensation.
No harm hoping and dreaming….for good souls.

The person who concocted the PSM 6 charges has miscalculated the balanced sheet. True, PSM is Umno/BN “enemy”. However, PSM is such a small political party with limited public influence that it is just not worth laying hands on it. On the contrary, the criticisms and bad image generated worldwide from such charges will have a detrimental effect on Najib’s administration and his pursuit of second term premiership. The little political mileage gained by charging the PSM 6 is readily drowned out by people’s negative opinions towards Najib’s government.

The arrest of EO6 was a specific bullying & threatening tactic employed by BN to frighten off people from taking part in the 709 march organized under Bersih 2.0.
Since the release is UNCONDITIONAL meaning the police had made a big boo boo, EO6 should follow up with legal proceedings against our careless government & foolish police force for wrongful baseless arrest like war against Agong, revive communism, prime Bresih movers.
Our Home minister Hishamuddin is the first people who must take full responsibilty for this diabolical farce. He should resign in shame!
Our Federal government must come clean & stop bullying & bulldozing the rakyat!

You mix 6 kind of nice fruits and come out with a fruit drink..with taste…out of this world.
Najib gets 6 different smart well educated Indians into trouble for nothing…they will become one minded to perform Indian dances that Najib can never ignore.
But for the time being…he appointed MIC President Pananivel to find out the reactions of Indians.
Low class PM with low class tricks…to win Indian votes?
    Not surprising at all.
