Newsy.com video, which analyzes and synthesizes news coverage from multiple sources, has produced the following video summarizing different media coverage of the Allah controversy:

http://www.newsy.com/videos/war-of-words-in-malaysian-allah-dispute

Newsy.com says:

“The video summarizes this ongoing tension and the more recent controversies, showing a few different opinions on what the Malaysian government should do. There are those who view the term as a purely Muslim word and other who see this as a merely a language difference. Many just want to stop further disagreements and see the country unified/”

What is scariest is that its been nearly a week now and while everyone is wondering what the future holds for this country, what you see from Najib administration is the same old formula they have always used. While Najib is leading the way in denying the core problem, his cousin Home Minister is touting force can fix the most feared scenario.

Its a deafening condemnation of the entire UMNO/BN system. The NEP system was suppose to produce a future generation better than before, able to take on challenges of the future. Instead they are incapable of change, incapable of seeing what the first generation already knew was possible. This is exactly the lamentation and worst fear of Tunku of ‘his beloved Malay race’ at his death bed.

Force is not going to fix the scariest scenario. Its postphone it only and this time it won’t be long. Ambitious politicians are already plotting the next event that is our worst fears. IT IS OUT OF CONTROL. This is a battle of the minds and UMNO/BN is losing it everyday so long as they put their heads in the sand. Najib is afraid of putting his head out of the fox hole even to look at what is going on. He is exposed to be just a scared small man in reality – a basically pathetic leader. If he had half a brain, he would have gone back to Badawi and asked him to come out and support the Herald stance and it would have ended it. Something so simple and yet he can’t execute.

Change? We are in train heading to disaster.

Yes..apply agree to disagree art…to stop UMNO to have more reasons to escalate the bad situation to another level.
The are waiting for signs to have reasons to do more harm.
I strongly believe the vast majority police and military officers are not happy with UMNO too….playing fire with lives.
    96 Foreign Representative…from all powerful . Europeans countries…including USA….and 100% Christians…are here in Malaysia…to question the government.
The famous stupid reply is….’Don’t compare apples with oranges”
You can see the many photos..all of the 97 guys are not impressed with the answers.
Najib feeling no shame at all…attracting 97 powerful foreigners..to question his government.
I think…the said 97 guys..do carry alot of weight….to make UMNO stop it immediately….or else foreign banks…manufacturing companies…welknown huge trading companies..all will pull out from Malaysia…if Najib tries to be funny with them.
Great day for his “1Malaysia” slogan…proven…hollow words.

UMNO is pandering to the basest instinct of its supporters.
It all began with the keris wielding threat and intimidation by Hishammudin, then the ‘pendatang’ classification, then the cow-head and temple demolition now church burning.

    Now what next?
I am afraid of UMNO. It is a terrorists organisation!!!!

    (deleted)
UMNO has lit the religious time bomb and there is no sign it is interested in defusing it.
UMNO is destroying this beautiful country.

That is exactly what UMNO wants…guys get frightened and pack family to leave the country.
Malaysia is safe…if you know how your protect your family.
DAP man cannot be DAP man…for a DAP man will never pack family to leave country.
This is a man…serving BN under the nick…”DAP man”??

I must say this is political and religious extremism and terrorism issue all rolled into one. UMNO is using this allah issue to see how it will evolve and benefit from it and will not hesitate to use the brainless religious extremists to create another May 13, that happened during Tun Razak’s time. If anti-chinese riot does flare up, it will be remembered in history both father and son are responsible for the killing of the chinese.

    monsterball,
One should be able to distinguish between recklessness and courage.
A small minority stands no chance against a brute and brainless majority.
Our children’s safety is our responsibility.
What protection are you talking about? Who will protect you? The government, the police, the judiciary?
Fat hopes. In fact we need protection from them.

We have reached a low point that we don’t even have the right to a dead body!!!!!!!!

Another religious court battle is looming. I think Malaysians will soon get used to this kind of battles!

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 — The High Court here fixed March 15 for the mention of an application by a Melanau woman to challenge the Home Ministry’s decision in confiscating eight compact discs of Christian religious teachings containing the word “Allxh”.

My guess: The all_h issue will die out pretty soon.

    My reasons:

    (1) The issue failed to attract widespread support of malaysian muslims. The planned protest (approved by jib – “we cant stop people from protesting in mosque”) fell flat – only several dozen fools were blind or insane enough to participate. It was a failed effort and it made them look absolutely ridiculous and stupid.

    (2) The issue gained the voice of some idiotic umnoputras who made use of their political position to amplify their voices. A lot of muslims are actually supportive of the catholics. Some started donation drive and some took the initiative to guard churches. In other words, umno failed to gain any political mileage. They lost quite a bit actually, both nationally and internationally.

    (3) Fire-bombs were meant to intimidate people and they succeeded in getting themselves viewed as terrorist. Now worse than bullies umnoputras are terrorists. Well, actually they are only terrorist-wannabes. Again, its a miserable failure here.

On the whole umno turned out looking very bad for having behaved and reacted very very badly. Having escalated the matter and blew it way out of proportion it is now not possible to salvage themselves without suffering severely. This would translate into lost of sabahan and sarawakian votes. I hope the lost is substantial enough to cause the collapse of BN in GE13. Never mind it it is not. Umno has many many more skeletons yet to be uncovered. Collectively, they would sink BN.

This AL*AH nonsense and the burning of churches will only catalyze the downfall of BN in the next GE! BN now would seem to be overloaded, not with good stuff, but with unnecessary baggage! Mongolian murder, TBH murder, Kugan murder, Al*ah prohibition, MACC nonsense, burning churches,……..and lots more. All these will only ensure BN gets buried not only 6 feet but 6 meters underground!
