Spread the word – Let’s Change For Malaysia!
This video is to remind Malaysians of the sense of hope and liberation felt by all Malaysians, regardless of race or religion, at the heart-thumping general election results of March 8, 2008 – uniting all Malaysians in an uplifting feeling that there is still a future for the country as change is possible.
With the three important by-elections of Bukit Gantang, Bukit Selambau and Batang Ai in eleven days’ time on April 7, 2009, let us reinforce the paradigm shift in Malaysian politics achieved last year after half-a-century of electoral politics to endorse the advent of two-coalition politics where Malaysians will always have a meaningful choice at the ballot box in the march towards freedom, democracy, justice, accountability, integrity and good governance.
Every vote counts in the three by-elections on April 7.

That’s a really good job.
Now why isn’t there a Pakatan website to counter the BN campaign website? There are loads of really powerful, impressively high-quality (production wise) videos on YouTube that would motivate Malaysians to vote for a better country, but they have to go and search for them. That’s … inexplicable.

great to see PR leaders here, we are joining PAS, this is what we called UNITY! not the MCA,MIC,UMNO master and slaves, we are fighting against the evil power, hand in hand, without looking on the skin colour, religion and backgrounds, just to get a better Malaysia, the country we love.
by the way, the EC is saying that PR component parties cannot display their flags except the contesting party, while the BN can, what the hell? why the EC is so kepo now?

Even though it may end up like to “Earth Hour” in which only few participants that I’m witnessed here in KL, but it shown there are still other peoples whose care and I guess it happen this way.

OrangRojak had been raising the above questions in several occasions. It seems that there is still no proof that indicates a strong membership cohesiveness among the PR component parties besides the occasional meeting of the component parties at leadership level. I believe there is still much room for PR to manoeuver in order to bring improvement!

Are you calling me boring? It has been said before! I don’t know who developed the BN website for them (find it on google with a search like ‘bn 2008 campaign’), but I suspect it was extremely expensive. Given the state of the gov.my domain, I’m fairly certain no in-house talent was used.
The BN site gets a fair amount of criticism for not being interactive from bloggers, but I think they’ve missed the point of a campaign site. If the visit counter on LKS blog (I can’t see it, AdBlock) was accurate, then it’s only a tiny proportion of self-promoting or super-loyal cheerleading visitors that actually want to leave their mark.
The fact that the Opposition-curious web surfer has to search for this kind of content is baffling (is there a reason?). A campaign website needn’t even necessarily carry a PR ‘brand’ – it could employ the raintree or some other symbolism. I think it should be static (no comments) like a glossy brochure. And it certainly shouldn’t carry prominently any logo or name beyond those of the core parties! I doubt Malaysians are any less sensitive than I am to websites promising a brighter future for their beloved country but are really nothing more than self-promotion sites.
There are some nice short, relevant domain names available that would be suitable. It would do PR no harm at all to add such a domain name to its ceramah flyers or even to its campaign fliers so that people could go home (or use their mobile devices) to see videos like this one, or even just to see what the issues are in their own language when the ceramah speaker is addressing a different community.
