Kenyataan Akhbar
MAJLIS PIMPINAN PAKATAN RAKYAT
8 September 2008
Pakatan Rakyat Menjunjung Prinsip Perlembagaan Persekutuan
YB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim
Ketua Umum
PKR
YB Dato’ Husam Musa
Naib Presiden
PAS
YB Lim Kit Siang

Hidup Malaysia!

This AI controversy presented the BN especially UMNO leaders with the golden opportunity to show people of all races that they are fair, mature and would come down hard on those who purposely create racial controversy. The chance to gain the support and respect of people of all races was simply wasted.
I salute the PR for their determination to protect and defend the special rights of the Malays as well as the rights of the minority races as enshrined in the Federal Constitution.

When Gerakan and MCA insist openly that this Ahmad Ismail must apologise personally, these selfish UMNO leaders from Penang would most likely try to turn it into a racial issue of Chinese against Malays for their own hidden agenda.
This Press Statement come in very timely to expose them. Congratulation to Pakatan Rakyat that you have shown again to the Rakyat that you stand for all the anak Bangsa Malaysia with one voice.

Nay, nay, nay!
Ahmad Ismail loves all Malaysians deeply and that’s why he did not say sorry.
“Love means never having to say you’re sorry!” (Love Story)
And MCA, Gerakan, though making a bit of noise here and there, continue to tag along with Umnoputras. Kena slapped on the left cheek, now offering the right cheek to be slapped or cium.

This man Ahmad Ismail has no principles. He now tries to hide by blaming the reporter and saying the reporter should be shot. I suggest the reporter should lodge a report against him for intimidation.
My grandfather migrated from his homeland and arrived in this country in 1880. Imagine Me still being called a pendatang. I wonder when did AI forefathers land here. Looking at Selangor we have a former MB whose father arrived from Indonesia not too long and he is called a bumi. This really sucks esp since my children and grandchildren are all born here. That means we have been here for 5 generations and still are lame ducks.

This the one of the products created by BN (dominated by UMNO) for the past 51 years.
A small group of greedy people stir up racial sentiment when their so call “right” is jeopradised.
What is “Rakyat” in their mind is only a tool for them to make political gain and ultimately monetory gain.
Hope that with PR in line, this will become a priority to establish a policy to curb racial & money politics. Only then we will start to see light at the end of the tunnel.
#17 by zak_hammaad on Monday, 8 September 2008 - 5:00 pm
Ahmad Ismail says that he has nothing to apologise for as he only stated a fact of history that “Chinese are immigrants”. BUT, does being an “immigrant” who is a CITIZEN does deserve equal rights as all citizens of Malaysia?
I think Ahmad has nailed the UMNO coffin firmly shut.

Our PM said that the deragotory remarks of Ahmad Ismail was his (AI’s) personal view and not that of UMNO. What about all the Divisional leaders who surrounded him and supported him when he gave his press conference. Were they too very expressing personal views or that of UMNO Pulau Pinang.
This incidence clearly shows the “lame-duck” authority our PM has. These Divisional leaders are too powerful and there is nothing PM or his Deputy can do anything about it.
I am saddened that our beloved country is going down the drain. I hope September 16th (or anytime after that) can clip the feathers of these warlords.
God Bless Malaysia

Betulkah UMNO jaga maruah orang Melayu atau sebaliknya?
GEORGE TOWN (Sept 2, 2008): The Penang Development Corporation is lodging police and Anti-Corruption Agency reports against a now-defunct company, of which Umno Bukit Bendera division head Datuk Ahmad Ismail was a director, over its failure to return some RM500,000 to the state after a failed land deal.
Chief minister Lim Guan Eng said he has directed the PDC to make the reports tomorrow (Sept 3) after his administration found that Popular Profile Sdn Bhd (PPSB) had wrongfully taken and kept the money from the state in 1998. PPSB wound up in 2005.
Ahmad is currently at the centre of a storm over the alleged racist remarks he made during the Permatang Pauh by-election, which had in recent days attracted numerous police reports filed by MCA, Gerakan and DAP grassroot leaders.
Speaking at a press conference at InvestPenang here today, Lim said PPSB, with Ahmad as director, had bought a 4.2ha industrial land in Bukit Minyak from PDC for RM5.5 million in 1997.
The company placed a 20% deposit totalling RM1.1 million on May 9, 1997, but was unable to pay the full amount later. It subsequently asked for the agreement to be cancelled and the money refunded on May 30, 1998. PDC agreed to return 10% while the remaining 10% was to be forfeited.
“But the 10% that was to be returned should have been payable to Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB), the body that had financed the purchase, not to the company,” Lim said.
Noting that PPSB did not then pass the amount to the bank, Lim said PDC had to then fork out an additional RM500,000 to be paid directly to PUNB to get back the title for the land.
Lim questioned why the state did not pay the amount directly to the bank.

It is pointless for all DAP, PAS and PKR politicians in Pakatan Rakyat to voice loudly, shout, talk big and keep talking baseless or criticised their enemies in BN but no actions to improve the current political situations in Malaysia.

Mr Lim,
In paragraph 2:
If one looks into our federal constitution carefully, article 153:
there is absolutely no mention of this special rights of Malay (hak istimewa orang Melayu), there is only special “positions” of Malay (kedudukan istimewa orang Melayu)
so, all these while what UMNO has been talking about this “special rights”, it is not even contained in our federal constitution. what is there is this “special position” (kedudukan istimewa orang Melayu)
as to whether there is any difference between this “special rights” and “special position”, i leave it to your interpretation. but for me, they are totally different things.
therefore, i call for an amendment to the above press statement where the word “hak-hak” be deleted in paragraph 2.

1) He warns the Chinese not to imitate the Jews in America to control the Malaysian politic and economy;
2) He threatens to call Malays from all the states for mass meetings;
3)He says the Malay emotions are high now and therefore UMNO will not let go this opportunity to unite the Malays;
4) He says that this “squatters issue” has successfully fired up the grass root Malays emotion and therefore UMNO will not miss this opportunity to call mass meetings for the Malays in all the states.
5) He says he will call such a mass meeting in Penang shortly.

All the evidence are there to see, right from newspapers to TV.
I won’t be surprise nothing will happen, but does this warrant

This is highly inflammable, was it he didn’t get a ticket to Taiwan?

i think this is could be a possible trap,
you see, Ahmad Ismail (agreesive talk) & Dr Koh Tsu Koon (agreesive defense) are under the same boss- UMNO, this could be a show they are making to make 2 races fight (in real) so it could become a chaos (or riot, which is what they want).
tearing off Dr.Koh’s photo in public (with reporters around) just now is a act to me, this matter has not got serious enough for his supporter to express his anger to such way (they are the one started the topic anyway).
& i am expecting to see some “angry” or “revenge” act from Gerakan tomorrow, so the planned fight will go on & it will try it best to get bigger, hopefully to involve more other (outsider) parties or citizens, then there will be chance to start a fire…
so only 10 days left before 916 hope there isn’t any real “fire” been created by this.

Don’t think in terms of race. Don’t buy into the process that the Ahmad Ismails of Malaysia are inviting us into.
Think in terms of a badly brought up Malaysian insulting many other Malaysians. The offending Malaysian is not very kind. In fact, he is very cruel.

And please forget about KSK. He is not worth it. He is not fighting for our dignity. He is fighting for his own image which has been shattered beyond repair. We can fight for our own dignity.
Look at what KSK did to Penang and failed to do for Penang during his long tenure as Chief Minister. He even ignored his predecessor, except paying lip service to him on certain public occasions.
He was the unintended beneficiary of Chong Eu’s Gerakan. But then, Chong Eu, for all the great politician that he is, never trusted anybody.
It was Chong Eu who splintered the group infused in 1974. And he presided over their fractious infighting, leading to unintended beneficiaries such as KSK and Dr THN.

Obviously Ahmad Ismail is going for broke and doing and saying things to incite racial feelings and hatred, racial violence, and racial rioting! Why no ISA against this desperado?
Ahmad Ismail (who was a director of a now-defunct company) is hoping for a racial riot so that he does not have to return some RM500,000 to the Penang State after a failed land deal.

Don’t play into the racist hand. If Gerakan leaves which is what the racist hopes for, the Malays will gavitate toward UMNO. This is the last trump card UMNO is playing now. Get all the Malays and other Muslim Bumiputra behind UMNO, all BN component parties can go to Timbaktu. That is what they want – govern this country alone.
#70 by milduser on Monday, 8 September 2008 - 10:37 pm
If the BN (read Amnoo) continues its racial politics, they will have to reap its consequences. The Ahmad Ismail revolt will give the Amnoo leadership more than enough to chew for a couple of weeks and get distracted with threat of Gerakan and MCA leaving the BN. So, PR will really have a field day in the next few days! Strike when the iron is hot! Or forever keep your peace.

Thanks to the inaction of the PM and DPM, this Ahmad Ismail is getting more and more absurd.
http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/8711-ahmad-ismail-blames-koh-for-tensions-
Ahmad Ismail, based on the news report, has even asked for Gerakan to be expelled from the BN. But KohTK has been too kind and has not demanded the same for Ahmad.
But how much kinder does Koh want to get? Is this the time for him to show he’s a “gentleman”? If he doesn’t stand up to the joker and show he’s a man, how can Malaysians expect Koh to stand up for them and make demands on their behalf?
#72 by boh-liao on Monday, 8 September 2008 - 10:48 pm
Be warned – Ahmad Ismail may be used by the BN to incite troubles which may then subsequently lead to an emergency situation and Operasi Lalang II!
Out of curiosity, the 49 BN MPs who flew to Taiwan – did their wifes/husbands/girl or boy friends/family members go with them? Who pays for their fares and expenses in Taiwan?

YB Lim,
Hidup Malaysia!

Sadly the real person that has provoked the Malay and the Muslim (wonder if it included the Chinese or Indian or Melanau Muslim) is a Malay himself.
Let’s move on .. I believe moderate Malaysian Malay has grown up. Anwar is our living proof. So let Him (a Malay) united all the Malay and the Muslim so we could all live peacefully.

Kit & all fellow Malaysians,
Time to give this issue a break. To carry on harping on the issue will only play into the hands of those who wish to destroy all progress made thus far towards non-communal politics.
It is good for PKR to come up with a statement signed by all the leaders. Now it is time to cool things down.
No big deal if we are called immigrants by one who is irrational with emotion. Let us peace loving Malaysians act with dignity and ignore him and others who may subsequently come out to stoke the fire.
Be resolute and steer us towards what truly matters right now … ;)

Another BLACK MARK in Malaysia’s history, made in Penang.
This incident is morally worse than May 13.
Here we have a person who is hell bent on creating a tragic situation which will stoke the fire of resentment and to pit the people of Malaysia against one another. And hopefully to create trouble, chaos, social upheaval and unrest of the worst possible and unimaginable kind.
The behaviour exhibited by Ahmad Ismail and his fellow ill-advised supporters is not acceptable at all to ALL MALAYSIANS. He demonstrated an anti-social attitude which if go unchecked would surely bring the nation down the path of tension, destruction and disaster.
May 13 cannot be allowed to repeat itself simply because Malaysia cannot afford another such calamity, and there are no reasons for one either. And we should categorically object to an reject any attempts to start one.
The authorities must begin immediately to dissect the whole episode and analyse how it could have been allowed to progress this far. The police must act without fear and favour.
Ahmad Ismail and his supporters must be dealt with immediately in order that their ill-intention and sabotage could be contained. It is no more a hate speech; it is a seditious, malicious, anti-Malaysian, illegal, dangerous, and unwarranted.
This group of over-zealous and over-reacting UMNO members has to be counselled and brought back to reality. Nothing warrants their actions and reactions.

I usually would not condone the use of the ISA in any scenario, but all this unnecessary aggression is practically begging for it.
I must say I’ve been following all the goings-on quite closely as of late from here in S’pore, and the Malaysia I once thought of as an alternate home of happy seclusion and enigma has evolved into that of chaos and power-struggles. I think the phrase that would best apply to Malaysians of all forms, disregarding how cliched it has become, would be: People Power. It is thoroughly refreshing to see citizens use their right of free speech to critique that which has become mundane and irrelevant in this global arena; where racial and religious boundaries are mere excuses to further divide and conquer.
So, be it at the hands of DSAI or the next better player, I sincerely hope that Malaysia would be restored (or transformed) to a country with responsible leaders, leaders who actually put the people first, above all.
Also, I’m not sure exactly how many of you share the sentiment of eradicating racial parties (UMNO, MIC, MCA…) as they, to me, are fodder when it comes to dealing with their so-called respective ethnic groups. You would probably need one or two MPs from the various ethnic groups to be responsible for economic/social welfare of their people. Let’s not swirl into a racial divide where people are judged by their skin colour, because I say, the more lines are drawn, the further we become from true and complete unity.

They used to blame PKR members as hooligan for showing support during DSAI arrest back in 1998. But now what happens, they will be even worse when DSAI take over the Government on 916.Look at the 13 UMNO supporters for Ahmad showing their devil act and tearing the poster of KSK ( anyway I think KSK deserve it).
Bodowi I thought you ask him to do a press conference to defuse
the current tension but look what he did instead. He not only ask your BN to expel Gerakan. This clearly show that he and all the 13 UMNO does not respect you at all. SO PLEASE RESIGN.

Dear YB LKS,
The 916 issue is being hotly debated by various groups – the issue & the morality of it vs the neutral arguement & the “majority” who have had “enough” of the BN.
First, let us agree on the “Basic” issue to “reduce” the BN majority within the “Constitutional framework”.
If we miss 916, then it will be a while before we get another “Window” of opportunity to pursue our struggle for that “New Dawn”.
As such DSAI & PR must find solutions to achieve that “Basic” issue to “reduce” the BN majority within the “Constitutional framework”.
Another choice can also be considered as mentioned by
Blogger shar101. Quote:
shar101 Says:
September 9, 2008 at 12:16 am
“There is a third option.
Disgruntled BN component parties can opt out of the coalition without joining PR and set up a Third Front. By doing so, BN’s mandate to govern becomes null and void whilst the sanctity of voters’ choice is maintained. At worst, UMNO becomes a minority government and it will provide the option for the Agong to invoke his powers to re-appoint a new PM or call for another GE if no suitable candidate is available.
Granted, there will then be three factions in parliament which may appear ‘chaotic’ but it opens up the ground for more definitive debate on existing (ISA/OSA, etc) and new (DNA) laws.
It might even create the opportunity for a unity government and/or a grand coalition whereupon national issues can addressed without fear or favor.
Ultimately, whatever is to happen in parliament and in turn, the proper governance of this nation, it must reflect people power through their choice of people-in-power who represent the electorate.
Post GE12, almost every political party are evolving or reforming in one way or the other, except UMNO. We, the people, must therefore allow this to continue. But unlike before, we will remain vigilant and vocal because the rules of the game have changed.
And not because AI says it is.” Unquote.

This is a perfect example of the illiterate people who have been nominated as leaders in UMNO. They are so emotional, unprofessional, disarrayed, filled with hatred towards nonmalays!

Niat dan matlamat UMNO sudah tercapai. Orang Cina mula marah, Orang Melayu makin terasa.

Another sad case of ex-vernacular school student.
If she was from a Kebangsaan school, she will be able to save herself from been detained for 11months.
Vernacular school is not good for our children.
Most of the useless and illiterate students were those from v schools.
Our Government should stop building such schools and build more Kebangsaan or Vision schools.
Our Government should limit the number of v schools as such school does more harms than benefits to our societies.

Its fantastic to see that PR sees what Ahmad Ismail + gang is really up to. They hope to create enough chaos to take advantage it. Its a version of May 13, 1969 but within UMNO first. They figured that once they take over UMNO, KTK and the likes can be silenced.
It actually is a challenge now for PR to convince BN MPs especially in Sabah and Sarawak, this is bad for all of them and PR is their only hope. There is nothing in it for Sabah and Sarawak if these groups take over. In fact, they would get less. These guys are going to encourage more illegal immigrant to make sure UMNO Sabah and Sarawak control them not their indigenous party.

Star Online today, Sept 9, 2008:
“Gerakan should leave the Barisan Nasional ruling coalition … Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail said.”
“Ketuanan” drama being played out, this is, isnt it? You see, once a tuan, always a tuan. And small tuan is also good as a tuan. Small tuan, big tuan they all have authority to dispel any hamba they dislike.
So here we have a small UMNO fry telling gerakan hamba to get out. See how arrogant he is with his ketuanan authority and how arrogant UMNO is.
Perhaps what is worse is PM didnt want to say this himself. He decided to inflict maximum embarassment upon gerakan hamba by leaving that job to that small fry. The idea is to reduce gerakan hamba to a suitably minute size.
I wonder why the now very small koh tsu khoon still needed time to deliberate whether or not to leave bn. They should hv left 22 years ago. So too should mca and mic and all the other non-malay parties.
UMNOPUTRAS are nep-dependant. And after a while, mca, mic and the rest became UMNO-dependant. That idiot knew this dependancy thingy. He knew very well that eventhough only a small fry, he as small tuan could still tell mca, mic and gerakan to buzz off with impunity.
So yeh, leaving may not make good sense now. Its way too late. If salvaging oneself and one’s dignity is the desire, then I agree absolutely with k1980, lets harakiri. And may God bless their souls.

I suggest that members of PR should just leave it as is since the joint statement issued is very clear.
Moreover, the issue is now a police case and let’s sit back and observe what’s the advice that the AG will provide to the police. Let’s see if they act without fear &/or favour. This would be the best test for the judiciary and executives.

Just because Malays Immigrated to Malaysia earlier then the Chinese and Indians, that doen’t gave them the rights to have special previlage and rights in Malaysia.
These Malay Special rights are created by the UMNO selfish leaders like : Mahathir.
They have cheated the Chinese and Indians to give them these rights so that they can catch-up the Malay poor economy status and now they want it permanent.
All citizens whether Malay, Chinese and Indians pay the same amount of tax when they buy Macdonald or pay income tax.
All humans live in only one world. the whole world knows this centuries ago and only the UMNO selfish fools are still making a fool out of their own kind by bullying the minority.

Just as muslim ladies could be legally divorced by sms from their husbands, the 50 MPs can cross over to PR by sms-ing the Speaker Pandikar Amin on 916.

When the opposition did very well in the 2008 elections, foreign observers talk about a wind of change in Malaysia; about how racialism had been rejected, how Anwar, their favourite would soon take over the Government.
I had differed from these casual observers because I know that it was not rejection of racial politics which helped the opposition. It was simply disgust on the part of members of UMNO, MCA and Gerakan of the Premiership and leadership of Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Talking on the ground, this was quite obvious.
Far from the opposition’s “win” being brought about by rejection of racial politics, it has actually enhanced racial politics. We talk more about race and racial interest than we did in the last 50 years.
The Malays are feeling the loss of their political base and the Chinese and Indians appear to be glorifying in the new political clout. As a result, subjects which we before regarded as sacrosanct are now brought up and made to be entirely in favour of the Malays.
Against this unfamiliar attack against them, the Malays are unable to counter. Their leaders have deserted them. In their frustration they tend to become abusive.

This is true only for those living surrounded by sycophants. Racial tension had always been there and growing as the years passed. Only difference was back then it was only spoken of in the coffee shops and homes.
Now the only difference is the local mainstream media is openly reporting racist remarks and playing up racial issues. one wonders why eh?

Let’s understand that if there happen to be any kind of racial clash in our country, take note that it is because of Ahmad Ismail and the Malays in UMNO (Penang).
You understand that the Malays in PAS and PKR and DAP are NOT giving you this problem. Yes, the Malays are DIVIDED now. One belongs to UMNO and the rest belongs to Pakatan Rakyat. Get it? visit Era Kegemilangan PR
