KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 — Emergency Ordinance (EO) detainee and Sungai Siput MP Dr Jeyakumar Devaraj will begin a hunger strike today until he and five others detained under the EO are released or charged in court.

“Dr Jeyakumar told me that he would begin a hunger strike on July 28 to get justice. When I met my husband on July 27, he was feeling very frustrated and disappointed with the police and government’s stand on the six PSM activists detained under the EO since July 2,” Dr Jeyakumar’s wife Mohanarani Rasiah said today.

“I advised him against it because of his health but he resolved to do so until the PSM6 are released or charged in court.”

Mohanarani said Dr Jeyakumar had lost faith in the police.

“He said the police refused to budge even though the PSM6 have been fully co-operative and answered all the questions during interrogations.

“Dr Jeyakumar had told the police and Putrajaya to be honest when reviewing the work and activities of PSM. He said criticisms against the government are a democratic right,” she said.

“He demands the minister of home affairs (Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein) play a role in freeing the detainees or bringing them to court. Until that day comes, he will go on a hunger strike,” she added.

The six PSM members have been detained for allegedly promoting communism and “waging a war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong” after they were found with T-shirts bearing the likenesses of former communist leaders.

All six have denied the allegations.

Hishammuddin have no guts to correct his mistakes.
All he knows is how to do things to please his PM cousin.
    May Dr.Jeya be strong.
Nothing good will come by him fasting in Malaysia.
    This is not India.
He can do so much good by staying alive and well.

Ms. Moharani Rasiah should just tell her husband not to resort to such actions which could be detrimental to his health. This type of actions will not yield any results with creatures who have parasite brains. He must understand that creatures have no brains. Therefore they cannot think, have no guilt and consience. The only time these creatures feel pain is when they are going to drop into that big ball of fire.

Also I hate to say this, but the longer the PRM 6 are in custody the harder Umno will fall. The people will get more angrier and will one morning woke up and say enough is enough. Then they will flush the Umnoputras down the gutters.

If anything untoward should happen to Dr Jeyakumar Devaraj owing to hunger strike started in the first place by govt/police’s actions of continuing to detain him & 6 other PSM activists without evidence, will this also be ‘forced suicide’?

All the ugly incidences in the past and present are the consequent causes(TBH,Sarbani,Kugan, ect) to homicide, suicide and murder.A plain murderous scheme to achive one’s goal or erection by sadomasochism or self-interest.Just cut the unnessarily pro or non-pro gomen’s speculations short and be truthful to facts and figures.Isn’t that(RCI TBH) a very clear and a factual conclusion resulted in the finding of the RCI TBH to nesccesitate the re-opening of the RCI report?TBH would not take his own life for mere RM 2400 alleged fraud which itself(falsely alleged) is not by his own-doing and to-date even by whoever so and so thus so far cleared of wrongdoing and what more(TBH) was looking forward to be bridegroom and father-to-be commit suicide????.Is the incumbent government leaders really pleased to be acknowleged as fools to pursue with what they think is so their so-called logical defence to counter-defence the indefensible??I’m so shameful of this ‘gomen nasai'(sorry)government which has failed us over and over hundreds and millions time without any tinge of conscience and any good sense of common logical argument.BN,you’ve placed/set your own long-due bedtime to the exit door of Putrajaya.
