Just as Chinese in Malaysia do not perish without MCA, Indians do not perish without MIC, Malays will not perish without UMNO

The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, said there is no Malay tsunami, but his actions belie his words.

He appears to be increasingly desperate that there will be a Malay tsunami, making him resort to the politics of race, hate and fear to an extent which had never been done by any Prime Minister and UMNO President before.

He even alleged that it is the DAP which is inventing the Malay tsunami.

But up and down the country, a Malay tsunami is in the making, and the question is whether the Malay tsunami will be strong and powerful enough by Polling Day on May 9, 2018 to dislodge Najib and the UMNO/BN coalition from Putrajaya.

Pollster Merdeka Centre confirms that there is a Malay tsunami at the beginning of April, but was of view that it was not strong enough to put Pakatan Harapan in power.

But in Johore, Merdeka Centre reported that Pakatan Harapan and BN are neck and neck in terms of popular vote with less than two weeks to go before the May 9 general election.

According to the Merdeka Centre survey, the popular vote is 47 percent for BN and 42 percent for Harapan while PAS is at 11 percent.

Everybody knows that in a general elections, events and perceptions are telescoped and shortened in an extraordinary way.

Such reports, however, have intensified the panic of Najib and UMNO/BN, threatening the Malays that if UMNO loses power in the 14GE, the Malays in Malaysia will perish.

This is nothing but the politics of fear and intimidation, which is not grounded in reality.

Just as the Chinese in Malaysia do not perish without MCA, Indians do not perish without MIC, Malays will not perish without UMNO!

The trouble with UMNO is that after half a century of nationhood and being the party in power, UMNO leaders at all levels have forgotten that they are servants of the Malay race and the Malaysian people, and are acting as the masters not only of the Malay race but the Malaysian people as well.

A defeat for UMNO in the 14GE will be a salutary lesson for the UMNO leaders to never forget the lessons of democracy – that leaders are always the servants of the people and never their masters.

It’s been a very long time since an UMNO PM have so desperate for the Chinese vote
Fact is Najib, as PM, have done one of the most for Chinese Malaysian – this coming from former UMNO Youth leader who swore to take Chinese blood.

The problem is EVERYONE can smell Najib desperation. That is why his and MCA threats make little difference. Even if BN win, a zealot like Zahid Hamidi takes over, UMNO is irrevocably broken that they can never depend on Malay vote in the future. They have to continue to woo Chinese vote.
