While this nation was young, PERHAPS it was wiser NOT to have a free-for-all discussion of our fault lines in this country. BUT all countries who have refused to deal with its fault lines HAVE FAILED. Every country that has done well in the last few decades even century, have had govt that AT LEAST DEALT WITH THE FAULT LINES IN SOME WAYS – the more fundamental they deal with it, the more success they are.. Even here in Malaysia, we dealt with race relations for the longest time using the draconian ISA – we allowed it even when we knew it was abused by politicians because the politicians delivered material gains.

BUT IGNORING THE FAULT LINES is NEVER AN OPTION. THIS IS WHAT IS BEING PROPOSED HERE ON THIS ISSUE. THE COMPLETE SILENCE AND NO ACTION BY THE PM, THE SILENCING OF THOSE THAT DISCUSS, THE IRRESPONSIBILITY OF THOSE THAT IGNORE THEIR OATH TO THE CONSTITUTION. IT SIMPLY NOT AN OPTION TO IGNORE. THOSE THAT ARGUE FOR SILENCE MUST ACT – IF THE IGP SAYS DON’T DISCUSS, HAS HE ASK NAJIB TO ACT, HAS HE ASK THOSE HE OBVIOUSLY SYMPATHISE WITH TO DO THEIR RESPONSiBILITY OF OATH TO THE CONSTITUTION?

Why are Non-Muslims so concerned with Hudud when it is only applicable to Muslims? The answer lies in a poem written by an English mystic, John Donne, and is titled, “No Man is an Island”.

I say to PAS and UMNO. Hudud will affect me even though I am a Non-Muslim. And it is because I am involved in all Malaysians.
