He is born in Batu Pahat,
But since has lived in people’s heart.
He dares to stand up to torment
For his conscientious fair comment,
On all aspects of corruption,
And every discrimination.
To silence him up, they jailed him,
But truth remains his battle hymn.
He is never cowed by prison,
Violent threats, or words of poison.
His heart beats for a true nation,
Full of unity, compassion;
A State in tune with people’s dream,
With solid values in full stream.
Like all patriots, he wants the best
In the country’s progressive quest.
His vision of one destiny
Of all races in harmony,
With noble spirituality,
And justice, a commonality,
Fulfills the Malaysian vision,
That has been his lifelong mission.
Like us, he dreams of one people,
Many hopes, but non being crippled.
Answering the patriotic drum,
He’s home to resolve the grumps.
To Johor, he is to return,
To renew hope, to goodness turn.
