Question of DAP joining BN to replace MCA does not arise at all

The media has been abuzz following the Sin Chew Daily interview with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz and his notion that DAP should join the Barisan Nasional.

The question of DAP joining the Barisan Nasional to replace MCA does not arise at all.

DAP is not a Chinese party fighting for Chinese rights but a Malaysian party fighting for the rights of all Malaysians whether Chinese, Malays, Indians, Ibans, Kadazans or Orang Asli as common Malaysian citizens who are entitled to an equal place under the Malaysian sun.

DAP leaders have toiled and sacrificed for their political beliefs in the past 45 years, persecuted and prosecuted in court, detained under the Internal Security Act for as long as four year and nine months, jailed and disqualified as MP and barred from elective office for five years for standing firm and steadfast on a matter of principle to fight for the rights of all Malaysians transcending race and religion – all these sacrifices not just for the DAP to replace MCA in the Barisan Nasional.

Right from the beginning, the vision and commitment of DAP leaders is for a Malaysia where all Malaysians, regardless of race or religion, can unite in a common Malaysian patriotic endeavor to form an efficient, clean and transparent government to build a just, democratic, progressive, prosperous and competitive Malaysia.

DAP must always act not just for the Chinese but for all communities in Malaysia.

Only a new politics and a new national compact, breaking completely away from the politics of “divide and rule” along ethnic lines, subordination of public interests to private greed resulting in destruction of independent national institutions, rampant corruption and cronyism where privatization has become piratisation and NEP an instrument to foster Umnoputras in the name of bumiputras, can save Malaysia.

DAP is fully committed together with PAS and PKR to ensuring Pakatan Rakyat success in 13th general elections to restore the constitutional rights assured to all Malaysians regardless race and religion and bring about fundamental changes so that a new start could be made to fully develop Malaysia’s potentials particularly our human resources and talents to be an united, successful and great Malaysian nation.

    UMNO will never understand.

    It’s simple: Principles. Principles. Principles.

Hello, UMno – Not parocialism. Race. Religion.

The big difference between Gerakan and DAP is that Gerakan was a class struggle – proletariat first looking to join the privilleged class – they were not nationalist first. DAP, born from PAP, are socialist nationalist. The separation from Alliance nationalism is at its root the split of Singapore. If BN did not betray their very own nationalist agenda, perhaps things would have changed but LKY has won the argument who the real nationalist is.

Why would DAP join BN when Singapore stands as a trophy of winning the debate?

Typical of UMNO – Gerakan and MCA on their deathbeds, so let’s get rid of them, and invite DAP. My question to the remnants of Gerakan and MCA: don’t you feel any shame at all in remaining with BN ? Is KTK really the seedless durian clone they are all talking about ? Does porn star Chua really have no other place to go ?

Why would dying BN need another oxygen tank when it already has PDRM, EC, Judiciary, Civil Service, MACC, Utusan, TV3 + money etc etc.

BN should be looking for an undertaker not oxygen tank.

Would DAP joining BN save the nation in a special way unbeknown?

It is predicted that GE13 if ever held would be the worst and most rotten and worst than Bersih2.0 on 9 July 2011. What else do you expect?

You all know how a giant of 53 years going to die easy? no way…

A Chinese PM on the way too…as a new direction towards the rise of the Asian giant.. for Malaysia to survive in this very tough time – nothing racist about it but a natural way of the global world.

Who are the PMs in the Asian nations? Reflect please.

The 1MCA man, Soiled Leg, while wiping away sweat from his forehead, quickly dismissed the possibility of DAP joining BN even before DAP opened its mouth. The 1MCA man was so worried that he will be out of a job if DAP were to say “yes” to the marriage proposal. You see if the big difference between Gerakan and DAP is that Gerakan was a class struggle (as quoted by Bigjoe), then the big difference between MCA and DAP is that MCA was a money struggle.

What a joke? DAP joining BN?? Preposterous.
It shows how out of touch the BN / MCA is. It would be good for them to spend some time as the opposition. Then they may wake up, and give Malaysia a chance to progress.

Dear MCA, wake up. The world has moved on. It is now the 21st century.

We need to change the tenant at Putrajaya, and GE 13 is our best chance. Failure is not an option.

Finally Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz admitted that DAP is not an anti-Malay party.

Previously DAP was offered to join BN and LKS will be a Minister…plus few more “deals” offered.
But this time…offer to join and sack MCA…when MCA is sacked by voters at 12th GE??
Those idiots never get into their heads….DAP fights and represents all Malaysians.
Najib put few MCA politicians as Minister is a clear act of ignoring people’s wishes.
These BN crooks….should stick together…and be voted out together.

UMNO only wants to be in power, and it will not honour the so-called coalition of parties representative of their respective races. UMNO sticks to robbing the interests of other races for “Malays” so that UMNOputras could rob the country under the protection of Malay voters? It should be noted that “Malay” are not the Malays as intended by the founders of the nation.

MCA should have long left the party, and so should MIC. UMNO now thinks that it could replace Gerakan which is quite dead by a multi-racial party of DAP. KSU of Gerakan should read the message clearer than CSL for MCA has long been treated as a window-dresser for BN.

In politics, nothing is preposterous or impossible
Politics is the art of making d impossible possible
    In politics, no forever-friends n no forever-enemies
So, UmnoB, MCA, Gerakan – BFF?
2 UmnoB, no permanent friends, also no forever enemies, only always permanent power n big fat bucks (corrupt or otherwise, all OK)
So, folks, never say NEVER on behalf of DAP, $$$ n power (dangling carrots) do work unexpected miracles

  12. #12 by boh-liao on Monday, 15 August 2011 - 6:53 pm

Is DAP willing n wanting 2 fren fren UmnoB?

Gee.How can you compare DAP with MCA?
DAP believe in human rights where else MCA believe in corrupt rights.

    DAP join BN?
    DAP is Bersih.
    BN is Kotor.
So, how shall the twain meet?
First, they tried to woo PAS but was rebuffed.
Now, they tried the same stunt with the DAP.
    They are rebuffed!
They must have seen the writing on the wall to be
    THAT desperate!!

I don’t think DAP will be as STUPID as Gerakan who joined BN after it has won Penang in 1969! Look at how Gerakan is now and everyone will know why DAP will not and should not join BN!

  16. #16 by Joshua on Tuesday, 16 August 2011 - 6:16 am

What is the writing on the wall?

Totally new group would emerge now.. not dreaming..

It is too much politicking for decades..to nihilism..through profligacy as both sides are doomed now.

Over 50 years of suffering upon the majority of the Chinese citizen whom MCA claimed to protect and brought upon them, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ! If Malaysian is stupid enough not to realise the damage that MCA had done on them, then GOD HELP THEM !

Those MPs got elected under DAP and jump ship to join the UGLY BN sould be prepared to rot in hell for a long long time and be cursed.
I have my upmost respect for of the DAP pioneers like uncle Lim & co, after 30 over long years of fighting against the corrupt regiume and still standing strong, not tempted by the threats and financial reward throwing at them and even went to jail for the principles of DAP.
NO CHANCE OF DAP DOING A GERAKAN like that Dr Lim C Y who was another scump that became a DOG to UMNO crooks.

I thought DAP is a communist, Chinese chauvinist, anti-Malay and anti-Chinese party a few weeks back. Now it is good enough to be called upon to join BN?

Wow. Talking about hypocrites of the highest order. Where is crusade Ali to jump on de fac to law spinster?

After GE13 we all know that umno will be booted out. That means umno ministers will be out of their jobs. But not nazri. No. Not this guy. He has a talent. A talent for telling jokes. He could write scripts for rowan atkinson or even that international man of mystery, austin powers.

Maybe, well who knows, he could win us some pride – you know an oscar for best script writer.
