CSL and MCA leadership should declare whether they believe in Ling and Chan’s innocence or that both were “political scapegoats” for Umno

The MCA President Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek and the MCA leadership should declare their stand – whether they believe that former MCA President Tun Dr. Ling Liong Sik and former MCA Deputy President Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy are innocent of the corruption charges which have been preferred against them when they were Transport Minister in connection with the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal or that both were “political scapegoats” for Umno.

Ling and Chan have made infamous Malaysian history for being the first two Cabinet Ministers to be charged for “grand corruption” in misleading the Cabinet in September/November 2002 (Ling’s charge) and the Prime Minister in February 2004, October 2005 and March 2006 (Chan’s charges).

Two of Ling’s contemporaries as Cabinet Ministers in 2002 are still MPs although backbenchers – Datuk Ong Ka Ting who was then the Minister for Housing and Local Government and Datuk Fong Chan Onn, then the Minister for Human Resources.

Other Ministers in the 2002 Cabinet of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad included the then Deputy Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah, the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak (Defence), Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs), Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin (Youth and Sports), Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz (Entrepreneur), Datuk Seri Yatim and Tan Sri Bernard Dompok (Prime Minister’s Department).

Would any of Ling’s Cabinet colleagues in 2002, especially Ong Ka Ting and Fong Chan Onn, testify in court that they were not misled by him to approve Port Klang Authority’s purchase of PKFZ land, kicking off the RM12.5 billion PKFZ “scandal of scandals”?

Malaysians regardless of political affiliation would be interested to know whether the MCA President and the present MCA leadership believe in the innocence of Ling and Chan or that there is nobody elsein UMNO who should be hauled to court whether for criminal breach of trust or other corrupt malpractices to get to the bottom of the RM12.5 billion PKFZ scandal?

Or do the MCA President and the MCA leadership believe that Ling and Chan had been made “political scapegoats” by the UMNO leadership when they are hauled to court for corruption charges in connection with the PKFZ scandal.

    //misleading the Cabinet //

I have all along thought of cabinet ministers as intelligent, exemplary and well-informed people advised by their deputies, political secretaries and parliamentary secretaries. How can an entire cabinet be deceived and taken for a ride by 2 rejects of the mata sepet community— Ah Sick and Ah Choy?

These two scumbags would have been executed had they been in China. But how about their respective bosses,Mamak and Bodowi?Would people believe they were not involved?Only fools would believe that the most powerful person at that time was not aware of it.

OKT: We were taking turn to answer questions if the headmaster asked. It was always between Mamak and the students concerned. Thus I have no recollection of how Mamakthir was deceived.

CSL was clear that the Attorney General made no mistakes, and that was why CSL said that CKC had to face the music. CSL said that CKC was innocent until proven guilty and he believed that CKC would not be found guilty by the judge because the PM decides so. If CKC was found guilty, than he would have to squeal on others in UMNO.

They are making a laughing stock out of AAB.

My earlier comment was moderated out of view. Never mind. I repeat it here. Without the supposedly offending bits.

Simple. The charge is character laundering for ling and chan. A big great favour by umno, actually. They both will in due course emerge squeaky clean. But I dont know if the process is advanced enough to straighten them up. Or will they continue to be crooked like before? Perhaps israeli technology could do just that trick.

The courts will decide whether they are guilty of the charges. When other ministers had gone scot free why these from the MCA; perhaps it is one way UMNO wants to prove that they are innocent until proven guilty. This case will drag on until it will not kick any dust. They have made the millions and so they have nothing to lose but the King should suspend their titles till proven innocent as they were or are elected representatives.

Just wonder how much CKC and LLS were paid to stage a play of this kind. I am sure none of them is willing to take part in a play like this unless they have been promised cash or rewards.

What we’ve been witnessing so far is MCA’s moral apotheosis at its shameful worst.

Being a party so much of a pedant in morals and being viewed as the citadel of morality at its inception three score and two ago, MCA is now a long way out of the pale of decency and widely despised and guyed by the very community it (still) claims to represent.

The little cup of patience in our hearts that is made to hold so much can hold so much and no more.

Thomas Paine would have said the same of MCA — “It, like dress, has become the badge of lost innocence.”

CSL declared that MCA does not have to apologize for the personal conduct of Ling Liong Sik and Chan Kong Choy. So CSL admitted that the past President and deputy President of MCA were rotten in terms of their personal conduct, but he insisted that MCA as an organization does not have to apologize for their conduct.

CSL should also admit that because of the personal conduct of these two gentlemen, it was most unlikely that they would have looked after the interest of the party members and the Chinese community said to be represented by MCA.

But LLS and CKC were elected by MCA members. So those who elected them were either wrong in their judgement, or the system of party election is incapable of weeding out persons of the character represented by LLS and CKC. If MCA failed to weed out people like LLS and CKC and allowed them to masquerade as leaders of the Chinese community, isn’t it the duty of MCA to apologize to the Chinese community?

MCA is a spineless component of BN. They are UMNO’s toys to be tossed around and stomped on as UMNO pleases.
The master has exclusive right to do what he pleases with his slaves or in our local lingo, ‘pendatangs’.

this is umno goons ploy to shut the chinese up on corruptions. it seems like the big corruption are all done by chinese. but the poius mamak and bodowi, tahi, and the rest of the melayu umno pretenders are all saints. they are so holy. no sins on their hands. but they are the biggest hypocrites of all.

We have to remembered that billion of tax payers moneys has gone to seas. The Sun journalist R Nadeswaran has even published a book on this PKFZ and he has since 2004 ( 2 years this PKFZ has born) and telling all the stories but after billions through into the seas now do any one believe those two bast*** are innocent ?? You believe those two being charged now did not know and all bn ministers did not know what are they doing?

Please this PKFZ was just a scheme to take the money and shares. How can the PM did not know what this PKFZ ALL ABOUT?

All these charges are for show is a real show to further cheat those who are stupid enough to vote them in year in and year out.

The incorrigibly garrulous President Chua should keep still and remain silent, if only so as not to lend further credence to the assertion that the MCA is indeed an association of criminally tainted clansmen.

President Lee was wrung out of high-office in the Mahathirian-era, due in no small part to his infamy. President Tan was charged and convicted not only in his own country, but in a foreign country as well, and that was when he could stop warring with President Neo. President Ling, of course, has been charged. Before that, he and his deputy waged a shameless, long-drawn war for all to see. President Ong the First did nothing, achieved nothing and is gone. President Ong the Second warred with everyone, achieved nothing and is, all the same, gone. Deputy President Chan has been charged now. Later than sooner.

President Chua, based on his voluntary confession and the available video evidence, could have been charged under s. 377A Penal Code which, upon conviction, carries a maximum term of 20 years’ imprisonment under s. 377B. He has not been charged.

President Chua now says that the MCA is not a party of cheats. Such a bare assertion goes against every grain and fibre of the available evidence. One would suggest to the good doctor that the history of the MCA is an incontestable and living testimony of its perpetual presidential association with fraud, corruption, war, betrayal and, now, sex-crimes.

If indeed it is true and correct that LLS and CKC did what they did, it is a manifestation of the rot that is BN. It is a “monkey see, monkey do” syndrome. In their privileged positions as BN Cabinet members surely they are privy to most, if not all, the shennanigans going on in the corridors of power. So it should not be surprising that they avail themselves to the opportunities when it arise. And from what is reported in the press they were not in this scam alone. There were others from other component parties of the BN that were also involved. It has to be for a scam of such magnitude to succeed. It is naive to believe that the two of them alone could have succeeded in cheating an entire Cabinet and two PMs, and by extension, an entire Govt machinery, if it had not received tacit support from the powers that be.

Now that the scam had blown wide open, BN need to do damage control and scapegoats to cover up and prevent more filth and rot from emerging, hence the cheating charges. The GE and Sarawak elections are coming up and this case is set up to appease the voting public and try to defuse the Opposition’s claims that the Govt is involved in a cover up. This case will drag past the GE and after that we all know what the verdict will be. Ditto for Toyo’s case.

Notice that Perkasa has also been very quiet lately? The UMNO outsourced stormtroopers has been ordered to lie low to avoid jeopardising the two byelections and the coming state and general elections.

All the puzzles are falling into place.

UMNO used to say that government policies including those that are discriminatory to non-Malays have the support of MCA. Now UMNO government says that only MCA Ministers are corrupted, and they are taking action against the erstwhile President and Deputy President of MCA to demonstrate to the world that the MCA Ministers are the corrupted persons who swindled the government, singlehandedly, in the RM 12.5 billion scandal. In agreeing to UMNO’s action, MCA President said that whoever charged by the Attorney General have to face the music. CSL implied that the AG is fair. Since AG has taken action against corrupted persons in PKFZ scandal, and since nobody from UMNO has been charged under PKFZ, the largest swindle in the Malaysian history, UMNO members are proven clean. Najib has demonstrated that corruptions in the government were only perpetrated by MCA members and leaders. To reform, UMNO needs only to disassociate from MCA. That is why Najib is establishing direct BN membership. Further Najib declared that Bn candidates do not have to be nominated by leaders of BN component parties. MCA has no say on who to stand, and where to stand on BN ticket in the coming election. CSL orgasmed when he was told that MCA should stand in kepong, never mind that they have one more seat to lose.

CSL cannot even complain about selective persecution since he cannot be so stupid not to recognize it. But CSL could have pretended to be dumb and kept quiet to ape elegant silence. He must have been told that he have lost that privilege too. Why should somebody fight for a position so that he had to lose his soul and be humiliated over and over again? It can’t be pride, it can’t be government position since the video tape prevented him to be made a minister; oh for the future of the son!

Money makes the world go round. Money is like lubrication fluid for the engine of the economy and politics. I believe in corruption. Only Dr. M does not believe in it. He has eloquently given reasons why we should not be corrupt. One of the reasons is that it is difficult to gage the price of doing business (how much one should pay in bribes). On the other hand, if we knew the dirty price, then perhaps …. .
