Najib will have no time for affairs of state as Prime Minister if he spends 10 hours a day on Facebook

Even before a full year, the Najib premiership is more than fraying at the edges – showing a serious schizophrenic personality.

The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak proclaims the slogan and vision of 1Malaysia. Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, however invokes a different image – a divided Many Malaysia!

I was struck by this schizophrenic Najib premiership when I read the Malaysiakini news report just now that ”Najib will respond to ‘good suggestions’ in Facebook”.

Speaking to some 500 civil servants and community leaders at a briefing organized by the Kelantan Federal Development Department, the Prime Minister’s political secretary Shahlan Ismail said the Prime Minister would respond to all constructive opinions submitted by the people in the country via the Facebook.

He said between 100 and 200 messages were received each day with various suggestions and opinions and some of them were used as a guide by the Prime Minister.

He added: “On certain days, up to 600 messages are received a day and these would be attended to by the Prime Minister personally.”

I find this most remarkable, as Najib will have no time for affairs of state as Prime Minister if he spends 10 hours a day on Facebook – given one minute for a Facebook message, which will consume 600 minutes (or 10 hours) for 600 messages.

Where is the schizophrenia about Najib and the Facebook?

The answer is of course Datuk Seri Rais Yatim, Najib’s Minister for Information, Communications and Culture, who recently lambasted twitter and Facebook as “tools of the West” which could erode Malaysian culture.

Should Najib be looking for a new Minister for Information, Communications and Culture to end the schizophrenia in his administration?

Najib is living in a world of his own. A one-man’s island.
He does not seem to know what is happening in the country. He does not know what Rais and Muhyiddin are doing right under his nose. He does not know what Perkasa is all about. He does not know whats happening in the Judiciary.
He walks among the Chinese and Indians and East Malaysia natives as though his is a one-man government. He thinks all the evils deeds around him will disappear into thin air and bring back support from the people.
He is a blind man who sees no evil and speak no evil. BUT HE HIMSELF IS EVIL.

“Should Najib be looking for a new Minister for Information, Communications and Culture to end the schizophrenia in his administration?”

    Of course.

We have many, many suitable candidates (Gani Patail?) who know how to “twist and turn” and put their foot in their mouths who are as suited to the job as that Rais fellow who is an anachronism.

Rais likes to change his mood or mode or whatever whenever he has his periodic attacks. And then he steps out of sync and says the stupidest of things.

DS najib worse evidence implicate him is a forever a question?? Guilty or Not guilty is not crucial in these days. Sometimes human gotto understand politics nature, why! after 53 years racial hatred existence failed to bury under? Religions wars or Umno ideologies? DS najib should freed malaysian from religious cage that had barrier rakyat so long. Malaysian of all race awares that is Umno NOT YOU who play this unessarry racial card. Not asking you to abandon Umno but dig out the spoiled roots. As you said, rakyat didahulukan, pencapaian diutamakan. Rakyat is the voice not Umno or political party. Therefore, to protect our nation is more important than one dead mangolian.

I have a small law office to run, a website to update and a family business to help out; and in between all that I could at the very best post 4-5 comments (more for short ones) here in this blogsite, a day. And I dont even bother to correct obvious mistakes in my postings or to read each and every postings by others (although I would like to). 600 facebook messages? And he personally handled all that? Wow. That would surely impress one who is not informed or is ignorant.

Tsk, tsk tsk….Kit, why do you have to post matters like “model” and “affairs” ? The poor guy keeps twitching in Putrajaya every time you used these words.

I agree with Jong in #7 above. What is the PM up to? Yesterday he was really comical, as if he was acting in a stage play comedy. He should stop spending so much time on Facebook. One hour should be more than enough and that too should be during non-office hours.

Actually a good question on Najib’s duality but the title threw me off.

Its not only Facebook Najib is schizophrenic. Its so many other things. He spends like hell on 1Malaysia spin but even his 2nd Finance Minister don’t have a good idea to stay away from the temptation of pandering to the ultra and do not make sure his aides are not one of them. He talk the anti-corruption talk, go after a few small fries AND yet he himself go cut deals with Naza group and others.

If you are not negative about it, you say Najib is schizo or two-face but if you are a bit more critical, you only have to conclude that in actuality Najib is just one screw-up after another.

    No, no.

His Facebook is actually being run by Rosemary and geng.

    Najib just jalan-jalan. And tokkok.

You must be clear as to who is in charge.

    DA GREAT PRETENDER

Oh-oh, yes I’m the great pretender
Pretending I’m reading 600 Facebook messages a day
And when I stamp my feet
    My fat woman would shudder

Oh-oh, yes I’m the great pretender
Adrift in a world of my own
I’ve played the game but to my real shame
You’ve left me to grieve all alone

Too real is this feeling of make-believe
Too real when I feel what my heart can’t conceal

    Yes I’m the great pretender
Just laughin’ and gay like a clown
I seem to be what I’m not, you see
I’m wearing my heart like a crown
    Pretending that you’re still around

No wonder government departments whether state or federal look more like playgrounds. By the way, those in facebook are around 20’s. Some children. Some child hearted adults. Yes. Even government servants do social networking during working hours. That is why work is never done properly. That person on the other side of the screen is more important. Social networks, mobile phones, passing messages around and you call that work. You are paid for that and not for the actual work. See how the public money is wasted. Wasted on public servants who are not working at all. Wasted on public servants doing everything else except the actual work. Eating before meeting. ha ha ha. This is just so, so, so………you think of the word

Surely NOT 10 hours on Facebook. Maybe only 10 minutes, and the rest of the time on pornographic sites to steam himsulf up, otherwise the fat cat will go wild.

I thought AAB had a bad speech-writer or he just did not have the energy to make good speeches.
Najib started off better but now seems to be tired of the job and that accounts for the AC-DC performances.
Just wonder if our leaders actually review their speeches before delivering?
As for public servants, it looks as if the massive bill is going to get heavier with the move to placate them by giving free hospital wards for pensioners and their parents.
Malaysia will be a basket case in perhaps 15 years..
