Stop Anwar Sodomy2 trial if Najib is serious about Malaysia 2.0 new economic model …

In his 2010 New Year Message issued on 31st December 2009, the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak forecast that Malaysia will emerge stronger in 2010 with the long-term as well as short and medium-term initiatives taken by the Government.

However, Malaysia has becoming weaker instead of stronger whether in terms of national unity or in international competitiveness since the first day of the new year.

The first month of the new year was marred by irresponsible mischief to create inter-religious discord over the Dec. 31 judgment of the Kuala Lumpur High Court judge Datuk Lau Bee Lan lifting the 2007 Home Ministry ban on the Catholic Church weekly Herald and allowing the use of the word “Allah” in its Bahasa Malaysia version – with a spate of desecration of churches, mosques, surau and Sikh Gurdwara.

As a result, Malaysia’s international image and standing suffered unprecedented battering in the first month of the year, aggravating Malaysia’s crisis of confidence, undermining Malaysia’s international competitiveness and tarnishing Malaysia as a safe and secure haven for FDIs and as an ideal location for tourists and students.

Malaysians hoping for a surcease to such damning adverse international publicity for Malaysia in February are in for grave disappointment – for Malaysians already cannot hold their heads high in the past week because of the shame and indignity the Malaysian government has brought to the nation and people with the Anwar Ibrahim Sodomy2 trial, with worse to come for the rest of the month.

Malaysia’s senior statesman Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah cannot be more right when he gave three reasons why Anwar’s ongoing sodomy trial is “posing a serious challenge to public confidence in the government”, viz:

  • “The trial is being conducted in an overwhelmingly politicized environment. Part of its context is the earlier trial of Anwar on the same charge, a trial which was perceived worldwide as politically motivated. We do not longer live in an insulated world.”

  • “Pre-trial publicity by the local mainstream media has been so blatantly unbalanced as to convey the impression that the media are pursuing a political agenda. Since the local mainstream media is either government owned or tightly controlled, this translates into the impression that the government itself has an interest in its outcome.”

  • “Many Malaysians believe that sections of the executive and political establishment have an interest in this trial. There does not seem to have been any attempt to remove this suspicion.”

Malaysia suffered a three-place drop in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Competitiveness Report (GCR) 2009-2010 falling to 24th from 21st spot the previous year because of much poorer assessment of its institutional framework and governance – with every indicator in the area exhibiting a downward trend from judicial independence to security since 2007.

With Anwar’s Sodomy2 trial, Malaysia is again in the dock of international opinion with far-reaching repercussions in terms of Malaysia’s attractiveness as a haven for FDIs, tourists and international students.

Najib has promised an important initiative in 2010 to lay a strong foundation for the nation’s prosperity in the future – a new economic model, whose announcement had been repeatedly delayed since last year.

If Najib is serious about Malaysia 2.0 new economic model to restore Malaysia’s worsening competitiveness, the Umno/Barisan Nasional government should stop Anwar Sodomy2 trial which has not only put Malaysia on international trial but reminded Malaysians that they cannot expect much from Najib’s Malaysia.2 new economic model when the Najib governance is so modelled on the old Mahathir script which had produced the Anwar Sodomy1 travesty of justice.

Below is an expert opinion on sperm analysis :

“In a forensic examination, semen can be detected by the presence of the enzyme acid phosphatase. Because this enzyme is present elsewhere in the body, however, the test is not absolute proof of the presence of semen on clothing or in material recovered in a case of suspected sexual assault. But, detection of acid phosphatase is powerful circumstantial evidence, and indicates that further efforts should be made to investigate the possibility that semen is present.

The microscopic detection of sperm is much more conclusive. The chance of recovering intact sperm is less when a sample is older, due to decomposition of the biological material. However, samples that are analyzed soon after collection can be positive for sperm.”

This goes to show that there is need for an independent foreign investigator to reanalyse the specimen as there may be an obvious tampering of evidence as well as a potential falsification of it.

Saiful proceeded to the guest room where he then stripped and donned a towel before the opposition leader hugged him.

Can a lady strip and don a towel WILLINGLY and then CRY rape afterwards? No threats or force to make her do the above

Umno knows very well that destroying Anwar politically is a major step in weakening Pakatan Rakyat. Najib was a major player in BN grabbing power from Pakatan Rakyat in Perak. The same power grab scenarios are also being attempted in Selangor and Penang. Asking the Umno-BN government to stop the Anwar Sodomy2 trial is like asking a scorpion not to sting.

The fact is NR and Umno are killing each other through this Anwar sodomy2 trial.Let the evil kills the evil. Don’t worry about foreign domestic investments now ,once Umno/Bn is out ,the change would bring pretty lots of them to come to Malaysia. Important thing now is to save Malaysia .

jibby and his low-life retards gleefully watch the trial unfolds as it diverts attention from other sticky matters i.e. Allah-gate, Jet Engine-gate, PKFZ-gate, Mamak-gate, TBH-gate, BrainDrain-gate, Nazir-gate, etc. etc.

standard m.o. handling allah-gate – sweep it under the rug

Stop Anwar Sodomy2 trial if Najib is serious about Malaysia 2.0 new economic model …(Kit).
    =========================================================

    Agree.

Nervous bankers already complained that Najib wanted the 1Malaysia concept to be fulfilled but the government establishment was trying to ruin it (1Malaysia is getting no where).

It was also reported that investors are watching carefully the unfolding events of Anwar’s sodomy 2 trial to see if it will lead to political upheaval and social unrest.

Surely the developments in the first two months of the new year do not augur well for the nation’s economy and they could unwind Najib’s efforts to woo foreign investments into the country. As commented by a foreign observer, despite Najib’s offer of economic liberalization in some sectors but cash is not flowing in.

YB Kit, I am one of the countless true Malaysians who support your wise & just proposal. Najis is acting as if his brain reflects his name in its most degraded form.
The whole world is watching this senseless & laughable sandiwara of a trial. Lol.
Obviously the FDI will NEVER flow this way. Even the Middle East ppl are smart enough not to pour money into a bottomless pit of najis.

Yhsiew, the problem is when you try to tell Umnoputras what to do,they will tell you “not to teach a duck to swim “. It’s this kind of attitudes that most foreign investors decided not to come and it aslo chased away pretty lots of domestic investors to Hong Kong and China. And not forgetting it’s also the cause of the brain drain. NR should change Umnoputras’s and its administration head’s attitudes first before offering of economic liberalization. You see Yhsiew, the prime minister is puting the cart before the horse hence you are correct to say that cash is not flowing in.

Saiful is hurt that there are doubts about his testimony so he gives an interview to explain himself. Be impressed by his logic! Be disgusted by his motive! A must read.

If you want to bring down LGE, simply pay one of his personal assistants to lodge that a police report that LGE had sodded him, SaiFoo-style. Remember to tell the personal assistant not to cebuk for 2 days.

With Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Zaki bin Tun Azmi – an former legal adviser to UMNO)holding the post of Chief Justice of Malaysia – what can we we expect for in the cases where UMNO have political interest such as Zambry(UMNO) vs Nizar(Pakatan Rakyat) and the Sodomy II case?

    …..correct….correct…correct! ……Kangaroo court?

chengho: “..this style of low class politics can carry on in dap.”

Wasn’t it Umno that practised a style of lower class politics by finding one of its politicians guilty of money politics, barring him from its internal elections, but did not firmly discipline him and allowed him to continue on as a head of a state government?

The goings-on in this trial is extremely silly as the script is very stupid, albeit with modifications of the old script. Saiful is really a sub-par B-grade movie actor.

Malaysia is now the world’s no. 1 laughing stock, as usual.

If Anwar is to be convicted and to be put behind bar, then it will be a plus to Pakatan Rakyat, especially to PKR. This is because when Anwar is still around to make political decision for Pakatan Rakyat, some fence-sitting electorate members will find that Anwar is a skeptical person due to the twisted perception acquired from Umno controlled newspaper such as Utusan and they therefore have suspicion on the moral standing of PKR leaders.

However, when the kind-hearted Dr Wan Azizah is to take over Anwar in providing the everyday guidance to the administration of PKR, many fence-sitters will turn to support Pakatan Rakyat, especially when they feel comfortable with Dr Wan Azizah’s moderate leadership style. There are always pluses and minuses coming up as the political impact which may be caused by Anwar’s possibly being put behind bar again. Pakatan Rakyat will not necessarily be a loser if Anwar is to be sent to jail again. On the other hand, I am of the opinion that Anwar’s possible next conviction in the case of Sodomy 2 will likely build up a strong momentum through people’s discontent about the continuance of judicial injustice and unrighteousness and hence help create another round of tidal waves which will finanlly swallow Umno, MCA and MIC in the next General Election.

The Komtar protest mostly by malays headed by Ibrahim Ali against the penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng was really disgraceful , disgusting,un-religious and un-educated and could be compared to wild animal’s behavour. And burning Guan Eng’s edify and stepping on it was also pretty distasteful and down right disrespectful of the chief minister who is elected by the people of penang. Most of these guys claimed to have a religion and wonder what they have learned from it about love, mindful, respect and tolerance.Firstly did these protesters have a police permit ? Secondly where were the police during the protest and why no arrest ? and finally these guys seemed to have a free hand to do what they liked.I understand these fellows protested over some illegal malays hawkers stalls being taken down by the city enforcement officers. Hundreds of non-malays hawker’s stalls were demolished by KL City Hall but these people never ever protested and burned the prime minister’s edify. I think Ibrahim Ali and others did it for political reasons and out of pretty lots of personal envy or jealousy of LGE. I this is the kind of attitude why these people could not progress despite being spoon-fed by the government.

frankyapp: “The Komtar protest mostly by malays headed by Ibrahim Ali against the penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng..”

How many of those protesters are actually from Penang?
Probably, some or most of them had come from other states, especially those ruled by Umno-BN…

frankyapp: “I think Ibrahim Ali and others did it for political reasons and out of pretty lots of personal envy or jealousy of LGE.”

No surprise if Umno-BN is attempting another state government power-grab in Penang, similar to what had happened in Perak. What Ibrahim Ali & also Ahmad Ismail have probably done is to add that Herald high court case judgement and Utusan’s Awang Selamat articles as fuel to the fire…
