Ong Tee Keat has won the right to get into Guinness Book of Records twice, the second time for being the first MCA President in 60 years to be on the run, from Parliament and outside, on a national scandal

My three questions (No.91 to No. 93) on the 31st day in the current series) to Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat on the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal today are:

Question No. 1 – In response to my challenge to him yesterday to five public debates on the RM12.5 billion PKFZ scandal in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Penang, Malacca and Johore Baru, where he could be assisted by the two former Transport Ministers, Tun Dr. Ling Liong Sik and Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy as well as MCA leaders who had served as Port Klang Authority (PKA) Chairman, Tan Sri Ting Chew Peh, Datuk Yap Pian Hon and Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung, Ong responded that I was not qualified to debate with him.

What arrogance and “high-and-mighty” attitude after becoming a “small Minister”! What would he not do if he becomes a slightly “bigger” Minister?

A day after the release of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) report on the PKFZ scandal on May 28, 2009 the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak publicly directed Ong to reply to all questions about the PKFZ scandal. Has Ong forgotten the Prime Minister’s public directive, and if not, is he avoiding the 90 questions I have asked in the past 30 “three questions a day” as well as afraid of a public debate on the PKFZ scandal?

Ong has accused me of telling endless lies about the PKFZ scandal. If so, isn’t a five-venue public debate the best place to publicly nail all the lies I have been telling about the PKFZ scandal, instead of running away from such a debate challenge?

In fact, Ong should counter-challenge me to a 12-venue public debate on the PKFZ scandal to fully exploit the opportunity to prove to all and sundry the alleged litany of lies I have been telling about the PKFZ scandal. Let me tell Ong that he if dares to challenge me to a 12-venue debate (say including Seremban, Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Baru, Alor Star, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu), I would accept without hesitation.

Why is Ong running away from such a public debate series to “nail the liar”, when it is the liar who should be running away from any public debate and here Ong is doing running – all the way to Paris!

Can Ong answer this question. This is my first question today.

Question No. 2 – Ong has won the right to get into the Guinnness Book of Records for a second time. Yesterday, I said Ong qualifies to get into the Guinness Book of Records in becoming the first Cabinet Minister not only in Malaysian parliamentary history but in the history of Commonwealth Parliaments, to accuse an Opposition MP for not telling the whole truth about the Cabinet meetings and decisions about a major financial scandal. What is shocking is that Ong could come out with such utter nonsense that an Opposition MP should know everything about what happened in the Cabinet over the PKFZ scandal!

Ong has won the right to get into the Guinness Book of Records for a second time, as the first MCA President to be “on the run” from Parliament and from the country (Malaysians will never forget that he ran away to France, purportedly for the Paris Air Show, so that he need not appear on the first day of the June meeting of Parliament to give a satisfactory accounting for the RM12.5 billion PKFZ scandal). Of course, he was not the first MCA leader and Minister to be “on the run” to avoid ministerial accountability and responsibility. Former Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy did the same thing, to be “on the run”, in November 2007 – all the way to the United Kingdom – to avoid Ministerial accountability and responsibility to Parliament, but he was only MCA Deputy President.

Can Ong explain why he is setting such a dubious and shameful record for a MCA President – first time in 60 years – and Malaysian Cabinet Minister to be “on the run” from Parliament and outside on the RM12.5 billion PKFZ scandal?

Question No. 3 – I am still waiting for Ong’s answer whether he agrees with my proposition: that Pakatan Rakyat MPs support his motion, submitted through his proxy Tebrau MP Teng Boon Soon to refer me to the Committee of Privileges for misleading Parliament on the PKFZ scandal about Cabinet meetings and decisions on the PKFZ with the quid pro quo that Barisan Nasional MPs submit my motion to refer Ong to the Committee of Privileges last Wednesday.

I am giving Ong 48 hours to say yes or no, and not to continue to run from my questions, which he had been doing for my 90 questions in the past 30 days.

not qualified to debate with him
He said that? Bizarre. What qualification was he referring to? Does he have an MD (Master Debating)? I wonder what he meant.

What else can OTK do except to run away as far as he could from LKS’s question? He has no proper answers to them or his proper answers would “conflict the interest” of some big shot! I remember what one of my primary school teachers taught me during the 60s. She told me it is no point running away from problems because they never get solved. Face these problems and SHOOT them down, then you can have peace of mind.

I am very sure OTK is having sleepless nights with nearly 100 questions from LKS haunting him! Act like a man and face these problems rather than go to Paris to enjoy the airshow!

YB Lim,of course you are not qualify to debate with OTK,after all who’s he as everyone knows he’s a running dog for Umno.Don’t you know OTK has infact accepted your challenge but picked Paris,France. You should have gone there to meet him and later claim reimburesment from NYY for travelling expenses like what she has paid to one Italian rich guy.You said OTK has been running away from you and sure he does for days and weeks, leaving no time to reply your question as he’s been pretty busy practicing his marathon run to avoid further disqualification of being a MOT.And last but not the least,OTK loves to enter the Guinness Book of Records as many times as he can possible as he thinks he can earn a “Tunships” when he retires liken his predecessor .OTK is indeed is a cocky guy. Hi guys, can anyone trust him ?.

Just look at Ta Kut’s face eyes and mouth and tell me…you can trust that man. He is so cunning and love to talk big.
He is capable to betray his best friend.
Actually…this boils down to Najib’s leadership.
Did he instruct Ta Kut to accept the debates and prove LKS a liar?
I guess…PKFZ scandal also implicates UMNO ex PM……sure to loose more votes. So no go..ignore LKS.

This is the first time a minister has said that none of us are qualified to debate with him, so case closed ! I mean MACC has said “case closed”, AG’s Chambers have said “case closed”, IGP has said “case closed” – on many cases in the past. Now ministers can say this too ?

  8. #8 by monsterball on Monday, 29 June 2009 - 4:00 pm

They have the power to say all cases closed….lets move on.
Do they have the power to close our minds and say…lets move on?
Let them close all cases….but one by one will be opened up again…by new govt…after 13th GE…..to solve and make sure…it will never happen again forever.

If Uncle Lim is not qualified to debate with him, who else is qualified? Chua Soi Lek?

he can run here , run there everywhere he likes , but when PR officially takes over as federal government , PR can issue a international warrant of arrest to hunt him down , bring him back to bolehland to answer all questions in relation to PKFZ deal…….

The Barisan Nasional Government was doing something very inconsistent in relation to the statutory requirement of the National Land Code.

The BN Politicians like to use ambiguous reason to explain off their decision making of poor quality regarding the public policy. It wouldn’t be surprised for us to hear stupid reason such as PKFZ project was a privatised project and therefore the land located at Pulau Lumut was not qualified to be acquired by the State Government at a lower price of RM10.16 per square foot. The Port Klang Authority ended up paying an exorbitant price of RM25 per square foot for the purchase of the land, which is now the project site of PKFZ.

Why did the BN Government always not do thing in accordance with the accountability requirement of consistency? Why did the BN Government acquire a big piece of rubber estate land located at Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur during early 1990s from a private owner at a very low price and then sold it to Berjaya Group for use as the development site of a private Golf Course project? If the BN Government was really honest in the land deals, then why did it adopt double standards between the two mentioned cases here?

How can Ong Ta Kut tell the truth and debate with Brother Kit Siang when the facts and figures are clearly written in the PWC audit report? Right and left, front and back, Ta Kut will kena from Brother Kit Siang. Ta Kut, why keeps running away? Face the reality. The PKFZ scandal will continue to haunt Ta Kut until we get to the bottom of the PKFZ scandal. I will make it a point to comment everyday till the GE13.

Since Ta Kut responded that Brother Kit Siang was not qualified to debate with him. Let us forget about it, now. Is Ong Ta Kut telling us that nobody in Malaysia is qualified to debate with him? If the answer is no, can Ong Ta Kut name any person who is qualified to debate with him? If Ong Ta Kut fails to name any person to debate with him, I call him a real coward. Only a coward gives useless and silly excuses.

    OTK sheer arrogance.

He thinks he is smart, but he is just parading his foolishness.

Even Mahathir is not confident of debating with LKS. During his 22-year reign, in spite of his power and influence Mahathir had not once responded to the challenge to debate with LKS on TV or radio.

What about this greenhorn OTK? Before he can take to the rostrum, he would have pee in his pants and shivered into a million splinters of bones.

Mahathir dare not even debate with University students
His staying power as PM for 22 years was by encouraging corruptions and play dirty politics.
His success was and still is.. his mouth….his cunning and twisted brain…the best of the best … dirty politics can ever be performed.
UMNO is very proud of him.
He is now teaching UMNO ministers to come out clean…wipe corruptions..which makes me have goose pimples…reading.
I have never seen such a dirty low down politician…blaming others for all the dirty foundations he laid down ..for 22 years.
He is an expert in passing the buck and UMNO ministers have to absorb all his insults….for they too..played his game of corruptions…and got caught in his net.
No UMNO man dare to touch him. He has tons of evidences…to release or die with him…depending ..how far UMNO buggers go with his sons.
Now fully contented…they dare not touch him and his sons…he is trying to fool all Malaysians…how clean he is….by advising UMNO ministers…to do the right things for Malaysians.
He is trying to promote he was and still is.. the cleanest and most sincere PM in Malaysia.
Anymore half past sixes will fall into his traps?
Do not forget..he is half Indian..half Malay.

I still can remember my late mother who once told me about a person’s corrupted character. The english translation should be pretty likely to read as follows : A man once aquired an evil and corrupted character is permanently inplanted into his head ,no matter what shakes his head, not even a thunder,or an earth quake will ever change his habit. I think this description is applicable to describe TDM

    He is worst than that…frankyapp.
He is truly a devil reincarnated…with a double headed snake personality.
The bait he put out is MONEY for all his followers…and did that so successfully…that he lasted for 22 years.
    Who fell into his traps?
Those greedy….lazy..show off arrogant Malays in UMNO…which we all know are hypocrites..never true Muslims at all.
Malaysians have to live with it..play their game to survive….until 12th GE..for under 12th GE….we can see a strong alternative….under Anwar Ibrahim..which The devil…put him in jail for 6 years…showing the plan of the devil was always there..so clear to the double headed snake.
And the same show is applied by the devil’s deciples…because none of them have the brain nor vision to govern fair and square at all….plus all are are corrupted…became filthy rich…therefore…sold their souls to the devil…for money.
But this time…with or without Anwar….People’s Power is dead set to vote them out.
    Out comes…more side shows…tough actions…..then soft….what happen? Lost 4 by-elections out of 5…and first time…UMNO dare not standing a by-election.
You see…Malaysians do not recognize the unelected Najib showing power and leadership at all.
His “1 Malaysia” …vague…no specific meaning…..no meaning at all…sums up his character.
